Chapter 28

Priya's POV

I went to the office with dad. Sia was already there. He introduced us to everyone. We were supposed to assist Rohit, but he was busy somewhere so we waited in his office. Sia looked into my eyes and asked, " Priya are you alright? I mean after what happened last night....?"



" Oh yes, I am fine. Rahul said that there was nothing like it was presented. Leena met him at the airport and all of a sudden, she tried to kiss and hug him but he pushed her away. I don't know... you know, when I got married to him, at that time I knew that he was in love with Leena, but still I married him because I love him.

He kept saying that he didn't love her. That he was never in love with her... let's see."



" Do you trust him Priya? "



' Yes, I do, I want to, but I can't help it. I'm feeling a bit jealous, I am not liking it." I told her.



Just then the door of Rohit's office opened and Rohit came in. He was smiling like anything. That was weird as there is so much tension at home.



Why was he smiling like a fool? He then welcomed both of us and asked me to come with him, we went to dad's office and dad told us to sit down then Rohit played a video clip.



It was a CCTV camera footage of the airport where the whole thing had happened. We saw how all of a sudden, Leena came in front of Rahul and she threw herself in his arms and hugged and kissed him. He was stunned for a few seconds and then he pushed her away and shouted at her. " How dare you? Just stay away from me. I am married in fact I am happily married, just stay away from me and my life. You humiliated me in front of so many people, how dare you come in front of me like this? Do you think I would accept you? Sorry, get lost and never show me your face again. As it is, it was just a marriage of convenience. What do you expect from me, Leena?"



He was not lying, I was really happy. That means, he was never in love with her. I was smiling, but tears started flowing from my eyes.



Dad was really angry, " How can they do this ? It could have ruined their marriage. But I am happy that Rahul is not interested in that girl. Well done Rohit, l don't know how, I would have faced Kabir or Priya. Let me call Kabir, he needs to see this. "



" Thanks, dad, Mehul helped me along with one of my friends, to get this footage. Both Uncle and bhai will be here in half an hour. So we get to work till they come. "

Rohit said as we were exiting dad's cabin.



We went back to his cabin and settled down and Rohit started explaining the whole process which we already knew but we had to start somewhere. All of a sudden Rohit's secretary came inside and said, " Sir, there is a delivery for Mrs Priya Kapoor."



I was surprised but said, " Ok send it inside please." and with that, a man came inside with the big bouquet of Red roses and a small box." He handed them to me. Rohit raised one of his eyebrows and was smiling. Sia was also behaving in the same manner.



It was from Rahul. There were about 2 dozen Red roses in the bouquet and the box contained chocolates there was a card as well. I was about to open it when Sia snatched it. I tried to take it back but she ran away. I ran after her but she was on the other side of the table so I glared at her. She just gave a cute smile and pretended to open it. I glared at her again and she gave it back to me.



Rohit said, " Oh my god my Khadoos brother is getting romantic, not bad. So Priya I hope you are not angry with him now? "



I just shook my head and smiled shyly " Awwww, someone is getting shy... Now either you open that card or I will." Sia was getting very excited.



Rohit was ogling at her. He said, " Don't you know Sia, reading the letter which was meant for another one is not good. I think you should find someone who would write you romantic letters and bouquets like this. Then you can read them to your heart's content. "



" Thanks for the advice but I don't need such bouquets or letters." She said annoyingly.



I opened the card, there was a handwritten note inside.

Though these flowers are not as beautiful as you are still they are close and chocolates are not as sweet as you are but both of these reminds me of you. I needed to talk to you but got interrupted..... anyway it is your first day in our office. Welcome to the office, love.

Rahul.



I blushed... Sia kept on teasing me. Rohit opened the chocolate box and took out a few and popped one into his mouth. And offered them to Sia and me. Then he asked us to follow him. We did that.



We were at the raw material section and he told us about the quality check tests etc. He introduced us to all the employees. Then we were about to go to the invoices department, when Rahul came in, smiling and hugged Rohit.



" Thank you, I love you" he said to Rohit and Rohit grinned.



" Are you not well bhai? It is me, Rohit. Priya is standing there. " He said while pointing at me. I was blushing hard.



Rahul just shook his head and gave a cute smile and said, " I know she is standing there, but I wanted to hug you, idiot."



He smiled at Sia and me and came towards me and caught my hand and dragged me towards his office. Rohit interrupted us by saying " For your kind information sir, she is here to assist me and not you, and we are working here. So please go from here you can talk to her during lunchtime, not before that. " He was smirking at Rahul.



" Well Mr Rohit, I think you are forgetting that I am your boss too and I need your assistant for some time. You work with another assistant you have. Ok? And don't expect her to be back before the lunch is over. See you later brother. Come Mrs Priya Rahul Kapoor." He said and took me to his office.



He asked, " Did you see CCTV footage?" I nodded and smiled, he caught my hand and said, " Priya I have been trying to tell you something for some time now, but always get interrupted by someone or the other. Today I want to tell you without getting interrupted. So please will you come for dinner with me, I need to tell you when nobody is around. " I gave my consent and he kissed on my cheek.



"And don't ever try to avoid me as you did last night, I can't bear it. Ok? By the way, did you get the flowers and chocolates?" I smiled and nodded.



Everyone was in tension at breakfast, so didn't eat properly so Rahul called Rohit and Sia and ordered some food for all of us. We enjoyed our food and after that Sia and I assisted Rohit in the work. It was almost evening when my dad called up to remind me that I have to stay with them.



But I had to go to dinner with Rahul, so I told my dad that I am going to dinner with Rahul tonight. He said " Ok, but you need to come home after that." I agreed.



I was about to get ready when Rahul sent me a message and asked me to wear the sari which I wore, when I had come to attend his wedding. It was one of my favourite ones, so I got ready. I got another message from him which said ,

" Come to the parking lot. The driver is standing there with my car, he will get you to the hotel, where I am waiting for you."
