Epilogue

One year later

" Rahul please get up… What are you doing? There are so many things to be done. We have to be ready also." I tried to push him away from me as he was sleeping snuggled into me. His arm and a leg were on top of me. I had to get up and help mom with all the preparation.



I picked up the glass of water that was lying on the side table and poured it on him. He immediately got up. " What is this Priya? What's wrong with you? Why can't you let me sleep peacefully?"



" Rahul, are you forgetting that we have so many things to do today? Come on, get up and get ready fast. Go and see if all the arrangements are done and if Rohit needs any help. It is his special day. I also have to help mom in preparation for all the rituals." He smiled and nodded.



I ran downstairs and helped mom in arranging all the things as Rohit and Sia are getting engaged today. I am very excited and happy for them. We arranged all the sarees, dresses, jewellery, sweets and all the auspicious things which Panditji asked for the engagement.

Rahul also came downstairs, looking very handsome in the traditional kurta pyjama. He was calling the hotel to ask about the preparations. Rohit was talking on the phone. They were arguing about something. They are always like this, teasing each other. I shook my head and went to mom's room to collect all the gifts we got for Sia and her family. All the arrangements were done perfectly. Mom asked me to go and get ready.



After about 1 hour I was ready and so was Mom. We all came to the living room to go to the hotel. Rohit was looking very good in a beige coloured traditional outfit. All the things were kept in the cars and mom, dad and Rohit left for the venue and we were sitting in our car, when I felt as if I was not feeling very well. I felt a bit light-headed. I was about to faint, when Rahul caught me.

" What is wrong Priya, are you not well? Let's go and see a doctor...." He was looking worried.



" No... I am fine. I must have overworked and I forgot to eat anything since morning. It is ok, I will be fine once I eat something. We are getting late, I will eat something, once we reach there." But Rahul shook his head and went inside the house and got some cookies.



He started driving and I took out one cookie and offered it to him but he said, "I am driving can you please feed me?"



"Why are you a baby?" I asked.



" No sweetheart, I am not a baby, but I am going to have babies very soon. " He said, smirking.



" Is it even possible?"



" What do you mean by, is it possible? Of course it is possible."



"I did not know that science has done so much progress that even a man can give birth to babies... Are you pregnant?" I teased him.



" Hahaha very funny. I am going to have lots and lots and lots of babies with you." He smiled at me and I blushed.

We reached the venue and as we were going inside he caught my hand and said, "You are looking very pretty, I think we should go somewhere else. I don't want to go inside. "



" What's wrong with you? Where do you want to go? " I asked, walking to the hall.



" I don't want anyone to look at you. You are looking very beautiful. So I don't want to go inside. Let's go somewhere and make babies..." I blushed furiously. I slapped lightly on his arm and walked into the hall.



It was nicely decorated with flowers and lights. All our friends and relatives were here. Sia came wearing a light green coloured lehenga. She was looking awesome. Rohit was mesmerized by her. They exchanged the rings. Everyone was happy and enjoyed it a lot.



The engagement went very well, but I was not feeling well. Everyone was smiling and laughing and all of a sudden, I felt that I was going to faint. I caught Rahul's arm and fainted.



When I opened my eyes, I was in my room and everyone was there. All of them were extremely excited about something. As soon as they saw me they seemed even happier. My mom and Rahul's mom rushed to hug me.



What was wrong with all of them? They were behaving abnormally.



" Congratulations !!! " everyone shouted. I was wondering why they are congratulating me. I looked at Rahul, he was standing close to me. He leaned into me and said, " I told you, I am going to have lots and lots of babies with you. Well, I guess we are already having one." I looked at him with a shocked expression and he winked at me. I blushed like a tomato.



Everyone personally congratulated me and hugged me, after some time I was feeling very tired. Mom insisted that I take some rest. Everyone went out of the room except Rahul. He hugged me very tightly and said, " I am really very very happy and very thankful to Leena that she didn't turn up to marry me that day, otherwise I would have been in a marriage of convenience and would never know about happiness. If she had not eloped, I would not be married to you accidentally.



Accidentally my life is full of happiness.
