Chapter 22

My mom was calling me on the phone, but I was still not calm enough to answer it, so I ignored it. I washed my face and drank some water. Rohit's phone started ringing. Dad was calling him, he picked up the phone and told dad we would come back in 10 mins.



We went back. The results were to be announced soon. All my family was very excited about this, as our performance was the best. The judges announced us the winner in the folk dance category.



As soon as they announced it, my mom and aunty both hugged me. I was called up on the stage, I went there with my fellow dancers and we collected our prize. There was a big round of applause in the auditorium, everybody was very excited.

I came back and everybody appreciated my performance. Sia hugged me very tightly. Rohit was looking at her with amusement.



He said, " With your permission, Miss Sia, can I also hug my sister? I don't want another slap."



" Very funny..." She rolled her eyes and said.



Mom chuckled and said, "So you are the one, who slapped my son?"



Sia was as red as a cherry and said, " Sorry aunty, I thought that he was going to misbehave with her... "

" It is ok beta, but it was really funny." She said looking at Rohit. And we all burst out laughing except Rohit and Sia.



Sia was glaring at Rohit and he was looking amused.

We all went to celebrate and took Sia with us too. Rohit was smiling like anything and Sia was getting annoyed with him. We all enjoyed the lunch and went home. My mom and dad took me home with them. I was missing them so just loved the idea.



I planned to spend at least 1 week there with mom and dad. I loved being in my room. I was enjoying with my parents, when my phone started ringing. It was Rahul. I excused myself and came to my room again.

I picked up the phone and before I could say anything he said, " Congratulations!! I knew you were going to win. You were looking so beautiful, graceful and elegant while dancing. "



" Thanks... wait, what do you mean by that? How can you say that?"



" Rohit sent me a video of the dance. I didn't want to miss it at any cost, so I asked him to record it for me. You were awesome. My beautiful angel..."



I smiled while blushing. He chuckled and said, " I am sure you must be blushing right now. What are you doing ?"



" I am staying with my parents for the week. We were just enjoying the tea. "



" How is the preparation for the exams going?"



" Very good... I just want my exams to finish fast."



" Same here, then afterwards, you would join our company as an intern. "



" Yes, my exams will end in 10 days."



" I am missing you, Priya. Please, say that you are missing me too."

Of course, I was missing him but it was difficult to say that.



" Yes, I miss you too." I said almost whispering. He seemed very happy to hear it and said goodbye.



I got busy with the exams and enjoyed my stay with my mom and dad as they missed me a lot, after I got married all of a sudden. We usually went out to dinner and spent time together in the evenings.



Rahul had to stay there for a few more days. It was our last exam. So I was very excited that I would be free after that. We went to give the exam the next day. It went very well. My whole group went to celebrate. We were eating at a fast-food joint when mom ( Rahul's mom) called on my phone. I picked up the phone immediately and she asked me about the exams. I told her that they went very well and I am free so came to celebrate with my friends. She was glad to know that and said, " Beta we are missing you already. Please come back now. I will talk to Pooja, but you pls be ready tomorrow. I will send Rohit to pick you up. "



" Ok mom.. " I replied.

Sia was staying with me today, as due to exams we both were busy and I won't be able to stay with her once I go to Kapoor Mansion.



We both kept on talking for the whole night and watched our fav romantic comedies. We made popcorn and sandwiches and enjoyed a lot. We talked about my marriage to Rahul and I told her how things were between us. I even teased her about Rohit. We slept at 4 in the morning. I got up at 11 AM. I was still sleepy, I wanted a cup of tea.



My mom reminded me, "Rohit is coming to pick you up. Go and get ready."



"Ok mom," I said and went upstairs.



I went to the washroom to do my daily routine and get ready. I wore a sky blue coloured Lakhnavi Kurti with jeans. I tried to wake up Sia, but she didn't even stir. I tickled her under her foot. She is very ticklish. She threw a cushion at me but I ducked and it landed on, Rohit's face. OMG !!



I was shocked and I shook Sia vigorously and she threw another cushion. This time he caught it. I called her name loudly. She opened her eyes a bit and tried to get up. She said annoyingly, " What is your problem Priya? Why are you up so early? At least let me sleep yaar. Exams are over, holidays are going on. Please, let me sleep. Come on yaar you know that we slept at 4 in the morning, so do not disturb ." Rohit was surprised to see her at my place but he started smiling.



" Priya, what is her problem, every time she is nearby, she tries to hurt me. On the very first day she slapped me and today she is throwing things at me... " He said, smirking.



Sia was shocked to hear his voice and she was fully awake now. She was embarrassed at the situation and said sorry to him and ran into the washroom.



I was laughing now and so was Rohit.

" Good morning Rohit," I said



" Well, the morning was really good indeed. " He was grinning.

" I can understand that, let us go downstairs." He came with me but was glancing backwards.



" Rohit we usually see in that direction, in which we are moving. Look forward or you may fall. " I teased him and he glared at me.



Mom insisted that we go after lunch. We all were chatting when Sia came down. She was looking very pretty in the pink colour dress, even her cheeks looked pink.



Was she blushing? I am going to enjoy teasing both of them.



When we were arranging the dining table, Rohit said, " Priya please, snatch the cutlery from her. She might attack me with them. I am really scared. " He was smirking at her. I just rolled my eyes.



" Oh, thanks for the brilliant idea, I must do that. Why don't you just stay away from me? " Sia was getting annoyed again. Ok, I think I had to intervene.



" Enough yaar, both of you please just stop it. Rohit please stop teasing her, she is my best friend. Sia please stop fighting, he is just pulling your leg. Come on yaar you both can't keep fighting, it is very annoying. Now say sorry to each other."



Sia nodded and she faced Rohit, " I am sorry. "

" It is ok, sweetheart there is no need to say sorry, in fact, I am sorry as I was just pulling your leg. I was enjoying every minute of it. But let's stop this and be friends. So friends??" He offered his hand and smiled at her. She nodded and shaked hands with him.



We all had lunch together. Then we left for home. Mom welcomed me with a smile and hugs.



I went to our room and I started missing Rahul. It has been almost 15 days, since he left for London. Though we talked almost every day but still… I missed him.



At night after dinner we all retired to our rooms. I watched a suspense thriller movie. It must be around 1 at night, I was half asleep.



Lights in my room were closed. All of a sudden, the door of my room started getting opened. Who could be here, at this time?



A thief??? Some intruder??



Oh god !! What do I do now? I was really scared, I shut my eyes tightly and was about to shout for help when all of a sudden the lights of our room got switched on.
