Chapter 17
Kayla
Kayla saw Lucas when she came down from her mother's car that morning. She couldn't believe her eyes. Before she could stop herself, she ran up to him and jumped on him. He winced like he was hurt. Perhaps she had jumped too hard. She was so embarrassed at her reaction but before she knew what was happening, Lucas locked his lips with hers in a passionate kiss. Kayla felt herself get wet as they kissed. Every hair on her body seems to stand on end but then she remembered where they were and disengaged from his kiss missing his lips immediately.
Lucas walked her into the hallways and when she got to her class, they separated. He was all she thought about all through her lectures and immediately it was time for lunch, she hurried to the cafeteria hoping to see him. And she saw him standing at the entrance of the cafeteria looking around for her. They both smiled at each other and he asked her for her number. Perhaps this was a step forward in their relationship, Kayla thought. She couldn't wait for him to ask her out. She was about to go into the cafeteria for lunch when he asked her the most naughty question.
He said "Do you want to eat lunch or do you want to eat something more delicious?" and he gave her a wink. She couldn't believe he could be so cheeky but she liked it. She agreed to eat something more delicious and he soon pulled her away from the cafeteria. She asked him where they were going and he said he was taking her to the gym room.
They got to the gym room and closed the door. Lucas immediately started kissing her and Kayla responded. He kissed her lips and then moved to her neck. She moaned as he kissed the nape of her neck, then he kissed her collar bone.
''''''''''''''''''''
It was the most amazing experience she had had in her life and she was looking forward to a second and a third. Why won't he just ask her to date him already so they could make it official? She wanted him and she knew that he wanted her so why don't they make it work. Or should she do the asking? After all, this was the 21st century and she could totally ask a boy out.
But she knew that she really couldn't do it. In theory, it was totally okay but it was a different story altogether in practical terms. She didn't want to seem desperate although it was a little too late for that. She could ask him on a date but she couldn't ask him to be her boyfriend. Maybe it was just her pride that was getting the better of her. Or maybe she was just too much in a hurry. She should cut the boy some slack, perhaps he was taking things slow. She could do slow. She was totally okay with slow.
After the close of school, Lucas waited outside to drop her off. She saw him the moment she came outside from the school building. She had forgotten to call her mother to tell her not to bother to pick her up and so she brought out her phone to do that.
'hey mom" she said as soon as Mitchel picked up
"Hi honey" Mitchel said "I'll be on my way soon" she added. Good, she hadn't even left her office.
"Don't worry about it. A friend is dropping me off" Kayla said
"Oh okay. Maybe we can talk about this friend later in the evening" Mitchel said and Kayla could hear the amusement in her voice
"He's just a friend, mom" Kayla said
"Who said he isn't?" Mitchel asked
"Bye, mom, '' Kayla said. She was smiling too. Lucas was still standing close to his car waiting for her. He waved when she looked at him and she started to walk towards him. She had told her mother that he was 'just a friend' but was he? She didn't think that he was. Would she have had sex with someone who was just her friend. Lucas was more than that to her, they just haven't defined their relationship yet.
She got to Lucas and he gave her a light hug before she walked to the other side of the car to enter the car.
Immediately they both entered the car and locked the door, Lucas pulled her in for a kiss.
