Chapter 10

Jace's POV
We were roaming around school aimlessly. I was loosing hope with every step, maybe my search is not over yet
As we entered a corridor, which was almost empty as classes were going on, I was hit by the most amazing smell. Smell of roses, my favourite. I knew what that was, I had found my mate
I was super excited, her scent was coming from ladies washroom, my mate was in there. I was about to go inside when Mia stopped me
"Hey! Stop. Its ladies washroom, you still need to look at her to be sure" she told me
She was right, I need to look into her eyes, for my wolf to comfirm it. My wolf, Sam was getting impatient. He was not ready to wait more. Then a new smell told me a different story. Even Mia realised it
"Jace, she is…" Mia started to say
"Human" I completely here sentence
Human mate can make things different and difficult, but I was not thinking about that now. Atleast I had found her and wanted to see her.
Soft sobs distracted me from my thoughts.
"Is she crying" I said aloud. How dare someone hurt my mate, I will kill, whoever that is. I wanted to go to her. Again Mia stopped me, she told she was gonna check it herself
She goes inside and I pace around corridor, controlling myself and my wolf
After most torturous 10 min, the most beautiful girl, I have ever laid my eyes on, came out. My heart just stopped beating. She was so delicate, her hair were straight, light brown till waist lenght, which she had left open. Her eyes were olive green with cute little nose, and most beautiful rosy lips.
When Mia introduced me as his cousin, she looked at me, our eyes meeting for few seconds and just that was required for my wolf to yell MATE...
But something was not right, why is she so scared. Her skin was pale and she was under nourished. Is that a bruise on her hand??? She was not only hurt but was physically abused too.
When we went in a cafe, she told the reason of her bruises. I want go and kill her stepmom for abusing her in such a way. I didn't talk to her. I didn't know, what to say. I didn't wanted to scare her more. This is going to be very difficult, how do I tell her about us, about mates and about werewolves. She will freak out and run away from me for sure.
"Be patient, and take small steps at a time. We will make her understand" Dan told me
We dropped her at her house. Now I know where she lives. I am gonna keep a check on her from now on. She is my responsibility, I will protect her and take care of her.
I dropped Mia at her work place and thanked her for helping me
"It's ok Jace, you don't have to thank me. But I hope you understand the situation. You will have to take it slow and be very patient with her. And don't worry, I will take care of her in school.
She smiled and left
"Thanks Mia. You are the best" I told her
I went to pack house. I have to talk to Victor and inform him about all this. When my parents died, his parents took care of me. He was my brother and my family......
Next day during lunch, I placed my new mobile on the table and cleared my throat. Just like Victor had done last night during our dinner date. All my friends were staring at my mobile with mouth wide open. Just like my reaction yesterday.


Mia's POV
It was the latest model of iPhone.
"My birthday gift from Victor" I said proudly.
Last night, I was so happy when Victor gave me my gift, but being a good girl, I told him that he don't have to buy such expensive gift for me and I can't take it. But he told me it was gift for all my 18 birthdays that he had missed. He is the cutest and sweetest. I can eat him.
I had jumped on him, ya literally jumped and kissed him endless. He was so surprised with my reaction. I was blushing like stupid after that. We took so many photos together and ofcourse he was reluctant, but me being me, he had to give in. I was on my mobile whole night, checking out all the features. He scolded me in end to sleep or else he would take it back.
While my friends were still checking my phone, I saw Bianca coming in cafeteria and asked her to join us. She hesitated but I went and brought her to our table.
From that day onwards, she was always with us. She was getting comfortable around us and even smiled and talked a bit.
We even went out together at times, like on double date. Me, Victor, Jace and Bianca. She was getting used to being around Jace.
Her stepmom hardly allowed her out. During one of our shopping trip, I had backed out purposely at last moment and pushed them to go together. Jace beamed with happiness whenever he was with Bianca.
I and Victor started with our training too. True to his words, Victor was tough on me. He made me work hard. At times we went for run in the forest. Lex was huge with dark brown silky fur. He was strong like an Alpha. Aya was tiny in front of him with light grey fur. She had to work hard to keep up with him. Lex was mesmerized with Aya, she could even make him dance on her tunes. They loved each other.
After few days
I didn't see Bianca at Cafeteria. She never missed school, because it was her only chance to be away from her home.
"Have you seen Bianca?" I asked Christabel.
"No, I didn't see her in any of the class" she told me.
I was worried a bit. I somehow was getting bad feeling out of this. I hoped her mom had not abused her badly. I called her. She picked up the caI was relieved.
"Hey Bianca, where are you?" I asked
She didn't reply. But I heard some noise and sobs. She was talking in such low voice, I would not have been able to pick it, if I were not a werewolf.
"S..stay …away…fro…from me.. " I heard her say. Then I heard the rough male voice.
"Come on babygirl, lets have fun" I froze hearing that oh, goddess hope its not what I think. I start running towards her house. Its not far from school, on the way I called Jace.
"Jace, come to Bianca's house, NOW!" I told him.
"Mia, what happened? Is she ok? Are you ok? Why are you panting?" He asked horrified.
"I..I…am running to…to… her house, am almost… there, you…you….come there too. Something…. is not right" I told him between my breaths.
I dashed inside her house, her mom was standing in living room, counting huge cash that was in her hand.
"Where is Bianca?" I yelled at her
"She is making herself useful" she said with evil smirk on her face.
I heard noises from the adjoining room and walked towards it. Bianca's mom tried to stop me but I pushed her and went inside. Luckily door was not locked.
But the scene inside, drained all the blood from my body. Bianca was struggling and pushing a very huge, bulky man and he was tearing her clothes away.
I had to do something, that guy was huge and me being werewolf too, won't be able to tackle him alone. But out of impulse, I went and grabbed his jacket, pulled him away from Bianca, pushed him on floor and kicked on his manhood. He wailed with pain.
Due to the sudden change in action, he was stunned to understand what was happening, taking the opportunity, I took hold of Bianca hand and started running towards door. But he was fast, he came towards us like a charging bull and grabbed our hair from behind.
"I din pay that money to get kicked, now I'll have both of you" he said laughing. He dragged us back to room and pushed Bianca on the bed. Then slapped me across my face really hard. I saw stars.
"That's for kicking me" he said.
The very next moment he was punched on his face. He left me and stumbled flat on the floor, spitting blood.
"That's for hurting my girl" I knew that voice. It was Victor. He came for me. I turned around to look at him, his eyes were turned to blue.
"Lexxx….." I said and blacked out.
