Mia's Pov
When my eyes flickered open, all I could see was white. Where am I? Where is Victor?
I moved my hand a bit and something pricked me, there were wires attached to me and some machines beeping away irritatingly. Am at hospital, who brought me here?
I could feel some strange connections, some noises in my mind. I mind linked Victor...no response
"Aya? Aya" why is she not answering?
"VICTOR" I screamed to call him, where is he leaving me alone. I called out again, but he didn't turn up. I got up removing all the wires just then Doctor Sonia came in.
"Hey you are awake Mia", she frowned looking at me,
"what are you doing?"
"I...my head is aching...where is Victor, he...he was hurt. Is he ok?...is he...here...in hospital? I...I..want to meet him" I went towards the door, Doctor Sonia had this horrified expression on her face.
"Is he ....ok!...you are scaring me doctor. I need to find him."
"Mia calm down, you are still weak." She started putting those wire back on me, I jerked my hand away.
"I want to meet my mate." Why is she behaving like this? I pushed her to go to the door, but she grabbed my hand and pulled me back to bed. Is she insane.
"I am totally fine, I want to go to Victor, I need to check on him"
"Relax ok, you will be ok " she told me, just then a nurse came in with an injection. Oh no they are making me sleep again
"No..No..I want to go..." I was fighting to free myself from their grip.
"Easy girl, relax...calm down" she injected me and soon I was feeling numb

Jace's POV
"Jace, you better come here" Doctor Sonia mindlinked me.
"What happened?"
"Mia is getting frantic"
"On my way" I got up to leave
"I need to go at infirmary, Mia woke up and she is being frantic, I will go and check" I told Brittany
"Should I come" she asked me.
"No you rest, I will be back" she needs to rest due to her condition.
We were at our room at Southern moon pack, Alpha Dorman had taken us under his pack and graced us with new home. Christabel was bit restless because of what happened. We both were really worried for Mia.
Victor man, we miss you, hope you were here to take care of your Mia, she is broken.
Jia seems is not ready to accept the truth. She is not aware that she is now part of Southern moon pack. Your view on this?

David's POV
Next day after attack
"What's that smell" I asked sniffing around.
"What smell?" Terry asked, Is he mad? It's so strong.
"This smell, like fresh lilies?"
"Must be some roomfreshner man, we are at hospital."
"I know where we are, you idiot." We were here to check injured werewolves of Pearl moon pack.
But it didn't smell like some bloody roomfreshner. It...it smelled real...like real lilies were shoved right in my nose. This smell was enticing and intoxicating and...is it..?
'What is it Terek, is it our mate's smell?' I asked getting anxious.
'Huh? I don't know.' he said as if not interested.
'Oh! come on, saint Terek, 'YOU' don't know! Hows that possible?' What wrong with him, he knows everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Thats why I call him saint Terek and, Mates, let me quote it in inverted commas and bold letters "MATE" is his all time favourite topic. So why is he being indifferent? I have heard that your mates smell can drive you mad, ya whatever!
I followed the scent, it was coming from a nearby room and I was about to go in, to check who was inside.
"Are you coming, Alpha has called us" Terry asked over his shoulder.
"Huh? Yup?" I followed him.
"So what is the status?" Dad asked, as we entered his office.
"378 werewolves from Pearl moon pack died, they were buried at their grounds
35 of Rouges were found and we burned them
12 survival, from Pearl moon pack, 2 are orphaned kids, their doctor is taking care of them, few are injured and they are being treated at hospital." I told him, placing myself on the sofa
"We have given them their previous postions that they had in their pack." Terry added.
"Ok, arrange for the oath ceremony"
"Just, Warrior Kentucky's mate is still unconscious." I informed him.
"I think after what happened with Pearl moon, we need to be very careful, increase the patrolling at borders, we need to built allience with far off packs too. David, I have had word with Alpha of Lunar moon pack, you will go there to discuss further."
"But dad that's too far from here, it will take months to be back"
"So what"
"But..."
"It's an order David Stanford, and when you get back, I want you to choose your mate and take this position. I hope you understand, I am getting old now.
"Yes Alpha." He always takes undue benefit of being Alpha.

Mia's Pov
Darknesss, all I could see was darkness, then those red eyes, that death wrenching eyes, I know who's eyes are they, Devil! He is here again.
He is stabbing someone...but I can feel the pain...someone is being brutally stabbed... please save him... no it can't be Victor... don't harm him...noooo...Victor... VICTORRR
I woke up screaming his name, my mate's name.
"Mia...Mia,..are you ok?"
Whoes calling me.
I opened my eyes, tried to focus on the person near me...
Jace.
It was a dream, no it was a nightmare, a living nightmare. My life has became a nightmare, how do I face the life ahead of me. Its not fair Victor, you promised me, we will be together always, you will take care of me, we were gonna have pups....why you left me. You broke all your promises. I shut my eyes, tears flowing uncontrollably.
"He is gone isn't it" I said more to myself
Jace nodded,
I was not knowing what to feel, how to get used to this emptiness, how to breath and how to survive with just half of myself, that too shattered and ruined half. I missed him with my every breath, the simple activity of inhaling and exhaling was a burden.
I went in washroom and looked at myself, I looked like a living dead. But what I saw next killed me again. My neck was bare, there was no mark on it, Hows that possible. I scratched my skin in attempt to get it back, his mark, his identity, its gone I kept scratching till my skin was red.
My tattoo? I pulled the neck of my gown below to check my tattoo. Its gone, even my tattoo is gone. I scraped my skin with my nails, but his mark didn't come up.
He has left me forever, deprived me of even his mark on me.
I slumped on the bathroom floor, holding my heart because it was aching and cried. I so felt lonely.
When I came out, Jace was till there, waiting for me, why is he doing this, he should be with his mate, she needs him.
"Hows Christabel doing?" I asked him.
"She is fine, she wants to meet you" I nodded.
"Do they know it?"
"They must have known, I don't have courage to talk to them."
"I want to meet them"
"I will take you"
I went and slept on my bed facing wall. Jace left afterwards. I will go on my own, Jace is already doing so much for me.
I need to meet them, face them and support them.
