62. 🌶️Spread Your Legs🌶️
“I wanted to ask..” I bite my lower lip before asking him, “Why do I remind you of your younger self?”
My hands fumble with the zipper of the dress when I hear him say, “Because..”
His voice lows down to a whisper and I pause, my hands make no movement as though I might miss the sound of his voice.
“Whenever I look at you.. I think..”
A long silence takes over between us and I feel my pulse quickens along with mini thuds in my chest as he finally manages to say,
“Wow! That’s so incredibly stupid! I wish I could do that, but my maturity stops me.” His chuckle seeps through the partition, light and teasing.
I roll my eyes. *And he is back to being an ass!*
“That’s why you are not cool!” I retort while slipping into the soft, velvety fabric of the dress.
“Yeah, cause I am hot!” He shoots back with confidence.
“I was going to say ‘Old’.” I reply, laughing softly as I zip up the dress that hugs my figure like a glove.
“Old is gold.” He counters playfully.
“No. Old is old. Gold is gold.” I argue, turning to admire the backless design and the alluring deep V curve on my back that accentuates my figure like a mermaid enchantress.
“And everything that glitters is not gold.” I smirk, my confidence soaring like a queen.
“Because sometimes, it’s a diamond, baby.” Dakota’s voice comes with a jutting hint of male arrogance.
“Yeah, which can be lab-grown easily.” I scoff, appreciating the slit of the dress that begins from my upper thigh.
“Under high pressure of the soil and it’s still valuable.” He points out.
Just then, I hear the click of his door unlocking and I turn around to unlock my door as well.
“So does an onion.” I smirk, stepping out simultaneously with him.
Before Dakota could formulate a witty response, his eyes find me and he stops short. Words seem to evaporate from his lips as a mixture of surprise and admiration paints across his features while he takes in my off-shoulder, black velvety, high-slit dress.
For a moment, he just stands there in his contoured tuxedo, staring at me with those sea deep eyes in a stunned silence and I can’t help but feel a surge of confidence and amusement at his uncharacteristic loss of words.
It’s a rare sight to see Dakota speechless, because he is always so composed and quick with replies, that now it seems like he has lost his quick-wit.
“Are you zoning out, Mr. Black?” I ask with a grin dancing on my lips.
For a moment longer, he just stares, eyes locked into mine, then slowly, a familiar smirk returns as he slowly shakes his head.
“No.” He replies, his voice low and intimate.
“Just… taking in the view.” He whispers.
Green eyes slowly slide down my figure, taking their leisure time to observe every inch of me.
A stare so intense, so intimate that suddenly I feel my confidence condense in the form of sweat beads, gathering in between my rising and dropping breasts.
He notices it as well and my breaths become even more erratic. Before I could muster a response, the friendly employee arrives just in time, rescuing me from Dakota’s penetrative gaze.
“Lovely. Seems like the dress fits you perfectly.” She smiles warmly, before clenching the dress around my waist, “Just need a minor alteration from here and here.”
I gasp as she tightens the velvet, causing the fabric cling to me, accentuating my curvy breasts and narrow waist.
Green eyes draw on the area she is adjusting and my cheeks flush with shyness as his intense eyes scan my figure, leaving me feeling both exposed and self-conscious.
Dakota nods his head, as if agreeing to the alteration, before he walks away to Eugene, leaving us to do the talking.
After discussing about the dress, I decide to change back into my original attire and when I step out of the trail room, I find Dakota has also changed back into his previous outfit and talking to the bald man, presumably the owner.
Their conversation seems to follow fluently, deepening my curiosity, wondering how long they know each other.
“Add it to the account.” Dakota smirks at the man before holding the glass door open, ushering me to exit first.
I wanted to ask how much does the dress cost but I know I can’t even afford the first two digits on the price tag, so I swallow my question and let him walk me to the car.
Once again, he exhibits a behavior of gentleman by opening the car door for me, before taking his place behind the wheel.
“So, what do you want to do now?” He asks me before playing another song.
*Can I ask him to drop me to my sweet home?*
“There is this amusement center near 7th Avenue.” Dakota suggests, looking up at me. “Do you want to take a look at it?”
My eyes light up again. “Sure. That sounds like fun.” I try to control my excitement, as he reverses the car with a smile playing on his lips, before accelerating.
Melody of a foreign song fills the space, sounding sweet, yet gibberish. “What language is this?” My curiosity asks him.
“French- La vie en rose.”
*So he even knows French!*
“How many other languages do you know?” I question, sounding a bit jealous.
“Couple of them.” He chuckles, taking in my envy.
“Currently, I am trying to get a hold on German, as some of my clients are from there. Also, Germany is somewhat lagging behind in terms of technology and digital adaptation, so it is possible that it could become a hub for Artificial Intelligence in the future. Seeing how they are open to integrating AI with cars, which suggests they may venture into other fields soon.” He tells me while taking a smooth left turn.
“So, do you learn on your own? All the languages?” I ask him in a serious tone.
“Well, I learned Spanish during my school years. I came to know that Spanish shares its roots with Latin, which was the dominant language during Roman times, and as the Roman Empire expanded its territories, Latin spread across Europe and gradually evolved into various regional languages.” Dakota explains to me like a passionate linguistic.
“And you know Emara, once you have a strong foundation in Spanish,” He says looking at me, “It becomes easier to pick up other European languages like Portuguese, Italian, French and Romanian. These languages, collectively known as Romance languages, share many elements of vocabulary, grammar, and syntax.”
*God! His smart mouth just talks like my brother, but hotter.*
“And the best way to learn any foreign language is to start watching Disney movies dubbed in that language. You will learn faster.” He advises me.
“What? Disney movies?” I react, shockingly.
“Yes. Disney movies are primarily designed for children, so the characters speak slowly and use correct pronunciation that even a five year old can understand. Plus, as you already know the dialogues in English, it is easy to remember and spell them in your learning language.”
“You have actually watched those romantic cartoon movies meant for little girls?” I blink at him with a surprised *abracadabra* face.
“No kidding. I have watched all those movies. You name it- Peter Pan. Little Mermaid. Beauty and Beast. Snow White. Cinderella. Ratatouille. Sleeping Beauty. That girl with long hair. Frozen. Lightning McQueen.” He lists them proudly and I couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
*That’s probably the last thing I expected to hear from him!*
“Wow! You have seen more Disney movies than I ever have.” I taunt Dakota playfully.
“Yeah, coz I had no parents to scold or restrict me.” He smirks, his dark humor catching me off guard.
I blink my eyes at him, wondering whether I should laugh along or not.
