Chapter 61: Still Confused?

Hershey's gaze shifted to the clock above the television. She couldn't believe it was only nine o'clock. Her eyes remained on the clock, feeling uneasy as the large hand ticked closer to her appointed departure time. She wanted to make sure everyone was in the house sleeping before she headed over to Marc Junior's house.

Every time she thought of the scene that happened between her and Marc Junior, she had to close her legs tightly to relieve the pain that was forcing her inside. She tried not to think about the feeling of his tongue sliding over her, but it wasn't happening.

Her mind went against her will, thinking about what happened two days ago. It was the longest two days of her life.

When she first entered the house, she decided to ignore what he said, he must be strong enough to overcome what happened. He was sixteen years old that he was, and his hormones weren't a raging symphony like they used to be, at least that's what he thought. She's been proven wrong on more than one occasion, having trouble concentrating on anything that isn't him. She even passed by his house several times, hoping that he was there so that he could see her. He didn't come out.

There was no movement then. Sighing, she got up, letting out a frustrated squeal. She didn't know what to do about it. She didn't know if she could wait the next four hours.

Sighing, she quieted down and went to the kitchen, where she grabbed a pitcher of iced tea and glass. Pouring the tea into the glass, she led the two back to the counter, where she sat on her stool and drank the delicious liquid, hoping to cool herself down and focus her thoughts on his. While she was doing this, she heard footsteps on the stairs and just a few seconds later Vicki met her and took a glass, and sat on the stool from her. She took the teapot, she poured a cup. Hershey, having finished her glass, reached over and took the jug, pouring a second glass. She sipped it more slowly.

"What's going on with you lately?" Vicki asked, her face confused.

"What do you mean?" Hershey faced.

Vicki laughed, "He's got you."

"What are you saying?" Hershey calmed down in the teacup.

"Marc Junior, he's got you a second time."

Hershey rolled her eyes at Vicki. "What do you mean?"

Vicki smiled, "I always wondered why you never gave that Derek guy a chance. He seems to really like you and he's not that bad either."

Hershey raised two eyebrows. "Why can't you ever stay on one topic? Who's got me and what's got to do with me going out with Derek. I'm not interested in pursuing anything other than friendship with him."

Vicki sighed, "Yep, he's got you whipped, so I take it you two had passionate... already.. I mean with Marc?"

Hershey felt her body stiffen at the mention of them together. "Why are you lost?"

Hershey likened Vicki to a cat, very smooth, but vicious if crossed. "I'm not on the prowl for information, just confirmation. So, have you cheated on each other, or is it coming?"

Hershey felt her face flush slightly. Lord knows she wants her. "Mind your own business?"

Vicki shrugged, "Not really, but I just want to know if you do the naughty things, 'cause you know how you used to be."

Hershey rolled her eyes, "How would you know?"

Vicki laughed, "Because I hear everything you do, even in prom night."

Hershey's eyes widened, "I thought you were asleep?"

Vicki shook her head, "I started out that way, but when I saw that my room was next to yours, I woke up to the moans of both of you. I swear there was a moment I thought you were going to scream. You're always like that. It's close."

The heat first started in Hershey's center, but then spread to her stomach, and then up, to her chest and then neck before finally reaching her face, she said loudly. "None of your business!"

Vicki sighed, looking at Hershey. "So, anyways, I figure if he used to make you feel that way, as you say, it won't be long before you screw him, I mean, if he wasn't my future brother in law, I would screw him himself, but unfortunately, you got to him first."

Hershey frowned. "I'm not getting married?"

Vicki smiled, "That's what bothers me, you always try to control the inevitable."

"Nothing can be avoided." Hershey whispered.

Vicki nodded her head, "Yes there is."

"You're not getting married."

Vicki rolled her eyes and leaned forward across the counter, "Yes, you are. The sooner you open your eyes to fate, the better off you'll be."

"Destiny?" Hershey asked, thinking it was a foolish belief.

"Yes, fate. It's fate that you two together Hershey. He's your soul mate. I bet if you went to another country, he'd find you without even trying."

Hershey laughed at this ridiculous notion, "There's no such thing as fate or soul mates or whatever. There's only chemistry."

"Tell yourself your lie." Vicki stated, lowering her glass. She pushed her stool out of the counter top and got down, "I'll see you in the morning."

"Are you going to bed early?"

"I have class tomorrow."

Hershey sighed, "Alright, good night."

After Vicki disappeared down the stairs, Hershey listened as her door opened and then the bathroom light illuminated the hallway. Hershey sighed as she heard the shower running.

Sitting there, she put her hand on her head, hating that even though Victoria wasn't her full-blood sister, the girl could read her like an open book. Is she that predictable? She blushed as she thought of the many times she and Marc Junior had met, thinking of the many times they had both loved each other. Swallowing hard, she got up and pushed her stool onto the counter.

As Hershey walked to the corner of Mangosteen Street and Mabolo Street, and then turned right, where she continued walking that block, Hershey stopped when she came to Marco Junior's house. Walking up to the door, she raised a hand to knock on the door but stopped mid-air. She couldn't do it. It's funny. Why did she suddenly want to throw caution to the wind? Why did she suddenly agree to make out with him after all the time they spent apart? Just go home! Her mind screamed. She has to go home. Clearing her throat, she turned to escape.

Just as she hit the bottom step, his voice called her name. Looking up, he watched her arrive in the driveway. A frustrated expression appeared on her face. She felt a lump in her heart, she tried to smile, "Hi." Her tone came out soft, but scratchy.

"Hey." He stopped in front of her as he stepped onto flat ground. Dark brown eyes lit up all but the male figure standing in front of her, dark green eyes burning with desire.

"I..." She started, frustrated. "I just wanted..."

Marc Junior approached her and kissed her on the mouth without saying a word. She immediately accepted it. He pulled her close to him, wrapping his strong, warm arms around her. After breaking the kiss, he held her in her arms, motionless. "I understand if you don't want Chocolate."

Her body trembled in his grip, his words rolled into her head. "I want to...but I don't want to...This is bullshit." She whispered.

He swallowed, running a hand through her hair, not sure he liked its smooth texture. There is no meaning here. He sighed, "Why nonsense?"

Hershey sighed, "Vicki asked if we were having sex."

Marco smiled, nodding, "What did you tell her?"

"I told her no."

"So you didn't like her ideas?"

Hershey's eyes widened, "Why would I? We haven't had sex."

There was a twinkle in his eyes, "Because it was supposed to be fun."

Hershey sighed, "I'm sure you did better." She stated her tone sarcastic.

Marc Junior raised an eyebrow at the question. "What's with the habit? Are you afraid?"

Hershey shook his head, "No."

"Why do you behave like that?"

She rolled her eyes and pulled away from him, "I have to go." He tried to cross the driveway. He grabbed her by the hem of her shirt, stopping her from leaving, "What's wrong with you, Hershey?"
