Chapter 76: Spying Is My Life

Marco Junior and Hershey had been talking non-stop since the day he finally got hold of his decision to pursue his Law Education in the Philippines. They talked about everything from their high school days to what was going on between the two of them. He can take care of everything on his studies.

He couldn't believe it. He gave a month's resignation, to his apartment and his job. Now, as he walked out to his car, he thought about how he was going to get into the Law School together with Hershey. He doubted that the scholarship they had offered her in high-school was still worth it, considering the fact that she was long past the acceptance stage. Two years is a long time to expect a scholarship. Sighing, he thought about his plans for college. He knew he wanted to be a lawyer. And, his Billionaire father will take care of everything he wanted.

"Baby I'm happy that you'll continue your Law Studies here in the Philippines."

"Yes Baby, I'm so happy, but how about you? You'll pursue your scholarship at NYU, USA?"

"Well, Marco Junior, I want to pursue, but..."

"Chocolate, but what baby?" Marco asked with doubt inside his heart.

"Well, Marco Fernando Junior, I will decide in a week's time, to continue my scholarship or pursuing my studies here in the Philippines too."

"Are you sure Chocolate? I want to be with you while studying my Law Studies."

"Yes baby, me too. I love you so much Marco Junior."

"Bye Hershey, I will call you after a week to know your decision. Okay baby? I love you!"

"I love you too, Marco, bye! Tsssup, kiss for you."

"Tssuuuup, Hmmmm...kiss..kiss..Love you, baby..bye!"

Marco Junior returned the receiver to its place, but his mind still rejoiced in the good news that he received from Hershey in the Philippines. He will, of course, continue to pursue his plan for his bright future, together with Hershey. Another call from his mobile really put him in another sphere of his personality.

"Hello grandpa, good afternoon. How are you?"

A sudden charge of anger he received from his grandfather that his mind changes abruptly.

"Why grandpa, what's my mistakes, this time?"

"Marco, I want to talk to you personally. Come to my apartment, right now!"

"Yes grandpa, okay, bye."

His intuition tells him to question himself what's happening to the people he loved? What motives he will accept for this whole mess between his Billionaire father and his grandfather? The question cannot be answered by him instantly and wanted to know the anger of his grandfather.

Marco Junior gets his car keys and left the apartment to go to his grandfather's place. Along the way, he received a call from his father, Marco Senior, asking about his whereabouts and his itinerary for the evening.

"Dad, grandpa called me and he wanted to talk to me, urgently. That's why I am heading to his apartment. Why Dad, anything wrong?"

"Okay proceed to your grandfather's place and I will call you after an hour?"

"Okay Dad, bye."

Marco Senior drives his car together with Oliver Luna to where Marco Junior's heading and he knows what he wanted to do. That's his job for a long time now and he tailed him ever since. What he can do for his mission in Shanghai depends on his resourcefulness and courage to penetrate in enemy's place. He collected lots of information until the day when he met his son from Danielle Gustilo. Excitement about this spying business was an advantage for him to widen his personality and wealth.

"Oliver, will resume the operation at his apartment, where my son's heading."

"Yes Sir Marco."

"Janet?"

"Yes Sir, as always."

They traveled the highway with not much fuzz but with confidence that they could get other information as well.


Anne Rose Fernando POV

I sat in this coffee shop for a long time now thinking of ways how to unite my brothers and sister. Besides my mother wanted this too to be positively agreed upon by my family. But things did not go as planned.

Sipping the cappuccino and relishing the taste of Strawberry Cheesecake, I looked at the side of the road, where my focus centered on a Chinese guy whose talking to his phone while looking at the coffee shop. I slide myself to the side of the plant box and observe him. I paid the cashier and asked her if I could leave it in the kitchen area instead of the front door.

I approached my car and open the door, and push the accelerator at once. I am always ready for this moment because this is my job, as a US spy.

I remembered well about the past that we learned from our tutor - an American spy. I was the one who my tutor believed to be capable of this job besides my brothers and sister. I was truly in love with the job until I graduated from college and continued the love of my life without my family knowing about it. Even my Billionaire father did not know my job and who I was with when I am not with them.

I want my family to be united because my mission was to my father in Shanghai, China. He was deciphered in Shanghai, as a spy by some Chinese Top Officials and his status was in jeopardy. I love my father. I love my mother. I love my family.

But, my father, a stubborn mule and will never leave Shanghai until his excitement subsides. Nevertheless, he aided some important information from the past and he wanted more.

My superiors gave me this mission because they knew that I can handle the mission with ease. CIA Officials trusted me all along and supported me in my career.

The problem with my family cannot help me hundred percent with my job. The emotional setbacks could change my thinking and predicament. Once I solved this family entanglement, I will proceed to Shanghai, China. I was fully briefed by my superiors about every facet of the mission and its consequences. I called thru my encrypted mobile phone and waited for an answer.

"Hello what can I do for you?"

"Dad it's me Anne Rose. How are you?"

"Ohh..my daughter Anne..ha..ha..ha..I'm happy to hear your voice! I am fine..fine, and you? How's your mother and brothers?"

"Dad, as of now, do not bother them here in the Philippines. They're all fine and living with their own dreams in life, I will give you updates about them. Mom, missed you a lot, Dad. But, how's your status as of today?"

"I am fine Anne, with Mike Luna's son, Oliver and Janet Liang. I will go now, I have important things to do this moment, sorry. Call me always and sweet kisses to all of you there in the Philippines."

"Okay Dad, bye! Love you and take care always."

Anne Rose still holding her mobile phone, thinking about some important things to do while waiting for her flight to Shanghai. As she learned, her mission was very dangerous and needs preparation. Her whole life was under the dangerous action she will take but with clarity, courage, and determination.

"I want this to happen and execute the planned moves." Anne Rose said to herself while sipping the wine.
