Chapter 71: Back And Return
The day Marco Junior left for Shanghai, China, Hershey stood with her arms around his neck, and hugged him tightly. Marc bent down to take back her hug, letting out a wish, hoping to ease the pounding in his heart. He didn't want to leave, but now he had to take care of what was in store in China. Closing his eyes, he whispered, "I'll be back."
Hershey's voice cracked as she replied, "I know."
"I have to get all these things to the apartment, to my job and then register for school. Once all of that is done, I'll be back."
Hershey wanted to ask why he couldn't just leave everything behind and stay in Shanghai, but she knew that was irresponsible and he wouldn't do it. Sighing, she held his neck tightly, "I love you, Marco Junior."
"I love you too, Chocolate. Keep to yourself, okay?"
Hershey swallowed hard and looked at him. Looking into the beautiful passionate eyes, she whispered, "Aren't I always?"
He licked his lips, "For me."
"Certainly." The shivers that went through her body felt like a cold wind hitting her body. She kissed his lips again.
"Boarding now for flight 107 for Shanghai Pudong airport in China." The airport attendant called on the loudspeaker.
"That's my flight," Marco Junior stated, pulling away from Hershey.
She cleared her throat. "How many flights do you have?"
"Only one Chocolate."
"Will you call me when you get home?"
"Yeah, I should be going back around five thirty this evening. I'll call you."
"Promise?"
"Yeah, I promise. Now, I have to go."
Marco placed one last kiss on her lips and whispered, "I'll be back."
Hershey watched as he passed through the terminal. She noticed that many girls took to his muscular appearance. He was wearing a pair of blue jeans, and a gray and white striped polo shirt with matching loafers. Hershey had to admit, that with his hair freshly cut and shaved, he was the image.

When Marco finally arrived at his apartment, he opened the door, walked in, dropped his bags, and walked over to the phone. After getting it, he dialed Hershey's phone number. When she answered, he breathed a sigh of relief, a smile on his lips, "Hey, I just called you to say I made it."
She listened to his greeting while asking how the trip back was. He was about to answer when he heard a noise in the bathroom, and then the toilet flushed. Frowning, he asked Hershey to wait a moment.
Placing the phone on the counter, he went to the nearest cupboard to grab a baseball bat.
"You know, if I had come to rob you, you would be dead by now." A voice said, her tone soft and sweet.
Marco felt his body stiffen. Turning around, he glared at the girl, "What the hell are you doing in my house?"
The girl smiled at him and approached the counter. He took the receiver, and spoke to it, "Hello?"
Marco Junior ran to the phone, took it from her and his tone was urgent, telling Hershey that he would call her back. Without waiting for an answer, he put it down.
"Why did you do that?" She inquired, her eyes sparkling with mischief, "I want to know who you came back here for."
"It's none of your damn business. How did you get into my house, Emily?"
Emily laughed, her brown hair bouncing, "I made a key, was it silly?"
Marco Junior stared at her as if he had lost consciousness. "Give me the key Emily!"
Another laugh and the girl backed away from him. "I'll bring it back after we talk, Marco."
Marco closed his eyes, "I don't want to talk to you. Now, give me..."
She handed it to him, she pulled away, moving towards the living room, "No, baby, I'm not till you talk to me. I want to know why you don't want me anymore."
Marco didn't say a word, he just raised his hands, "Fine keep the damn key. I'll have my lock change just get out of my house."
Another laugh came from Emily, "See, that's why I love you so much, Marco Fernando Junior. You're so sweet. You're going to arrange your whole life for the one who broke up with me?"
Marc's jaw was shaking, "Emily, we don't have anything, I have no responsibility for you! If you don't know, I'll tell you that you need a doctor."
Emily frowned at him, "There's nothing wrong with me, I'm perfectly fine, ok?"
Marco Junior went to the door, pulled it open, he said, "Get out." His tone was stern.
Emily laughed and walked over to him. Standing in front of him, her five-ten-inch frame perfectly meeting his, she leaned in and caressed his cheek, "Why Marco Junior? Why don't you love me more than that girl?"
Marco pulled his hand to her face, "Go, please."
Her expression pouty, Emily laughed again, "You think just because you saw her everything is going to be okay between you two? You think all the pain and suffering you've been through for the past two years will disappear by the time you get back to her?" Emily shook her brown curls, laughing, "No, baby, life doesn't work like that. She's going to break your heart again. She's going to throw you up and chew out, just like before. She'll say sweet things to you and it doesn't mean you'll get back together!"
Marco Junior took a deep breath, "I love her. I love Hershey" He said, firmly.
Emily nodded, "Sure. You're a good person you don't need someone like her in your life. You don't need her. You need a real woman, to take care of you, to love you, to need you the way you need her. " Emily whispered in Marco's ear, her tone low.
Marco swallowed the clotted saliva in his mouth. "I have that with her and I still love her."
Emily shook her head in protest, "No, you just think you have that. What are you going to do if she says she doesn't want to be with you anymore? Where are you going to go?"
Marco Junior took a step away from the door, leaving her there, closing the wall connecting the door to the frame. "That will not happen."
"How did you know?"
"Because I know Hershey like I know the palm of my hand."
Emily laughed again, "Come on Marco Fernando, don't be so naive. If you know her, you'll know that this time she's going in to kill you. She's going to hurt you so much that you might not be able to recover from it." Emily swallowed hard. Her gaze turned serious, "I don't want that for you, Marco. You deserve better."
Marco Junior sighed, "I love her."
She said again. "Does she love you?"
Marco Junior felt a little fear in his heart. Did he love her? Of course! His mind screamed. His heart ached. "Of course she loves me." He spoke more for himself than for Emily.
Emily felt a small smile begin to form in her heart. There was a tinge of doubt in his words. Is he or isn't he? This game is so sweet. It's sweet. She shook her head yes, she whispered, "Alright Marco, if you say so, but know that I love you too. If things don't go to well, you need help, advice, something, just call me."
Marco Junior raised an eyebrow. Call her. Why would he call her ex-girlfriend for what he loves? The one he knows without a shadow of a doubt that he wants to be with? What he felt was really his soul mate, if that could be described as her?
After Two Days
Hershey's POV
Hershey tapped her foot on her desk, trying to focus on the trip planner in front of her, but failing miserably. She couldn't stand the idea of another woman being there. Who is she and why did she go there? Disappointment at her presence was evident in his voice. She knew it was a stupid excuse to not take his calls, but she couldn't help it. Not first. She wants to know the girl. She needs to know the girl. Is he serious about their return? Is he sure he wants to go back to Shanghai? Do they both get what happened between them mixed up as nothing more than a fling? Was it an attempt by him to get back at her for leaving him? Does he still really love her? Does he really want to be with her?
Hershey sighed, trying to swallow the lump of fear building in her throat. She loves Marco Junior very much. She wants to be with him. She had never felt so complete with someone in her life. It was like that in high school. She always felt the same way she felt about him. She always felt like they were the same. Their chemistry was strong, of that she was sure. Glancing at her watch, she saw that she would be off the clock in a few minutes. Sighing, she gathered up her stack of papers and returned them to their proper place in the filing cabinet. Locking that drawer, she grabbed her wallet and keys.
