Chapter 23: The Drawing
The next day, the students were busy with their work for the project given by their art teacher last week, so Daniella's classmates were carrying pencils, bond paper, pencil color, and water color.
While students are busy with their drawings. Daniella was just stunned, so Bree noticed it. "Hey! Daniella, why haven't you started yet? This project needs to be finished right now."
I sighed. "I couldn't think of a subject to draw, so I didn't start to draw." I was confused about what to do while my hands were on my chin.
Bree frowned. "There are lots to draw: trees, flowers, houses, and more."
"May I see yours?" I peeked at Bree's bond paper and saw that a rose flower was drawn on it, then returned to my seat. "I'm sure most of us only have the same drawing as yours."
Bree sighed. "At the very least, we don't like you; not even a dot on your bond paper."
"Don't worry, just keep drawing while I'm thinking," I said as I lightly tapped the pencil on the desk.
A few minutes ago, Daniella was still not really moving, and for no apparent reason, she looked at William while he was busy drawing. Suddenly, she stopped tapping the pencil at her desk when something entered her mind. She moved quickly and drew, and with every movement of her hand, she seemed to have memorized what the detail was because she no longer used the eraser. Even once, she did not make a mistake, and she no longer used any colored pencils.
Their teacher looked at the clock on the wall; in a few minutes, her class time would end. "Okay, class, finish or not finish, pass your work with your name." Others were still complaining, but Daniella was just calm as she handed her bond paper to their teacher.
When their teacher flipped the bond paper to check the drawing, she was surprised to see only one bond paper. "It looks like you have a talent for the arts."
A student spoke up. "Who is ma'am. Can we see the drawing?"
The teacher stared at the student's drawing. The drawing is of a woman with her back turned, as if walking down the street, and their teacher was right about the beauty of the drawing. "And this drawing belongs to William." His classmates were amazed. Who doesn't? Besides being smart, it's also good to draw.
Their teacher put William's bond paper on the table. "Wait! There's another one." Suddenly, the teacher said, "She's also good because this drawing is more difficult. Even the small details of the drawing are difficult if you don't really have talent, but she's the only one who can draw it easily."
Daniella was still yawning as their teacher held up her drawing. It's a necklace, and the drawing on the bond paper is the necklace she intends to give William with a pendant with the letter D and a ring. "It's for Daniella." Their teacher looked at her. "You're so good at being a sketcher, Daniella. You can be a jewelry sketcher." Her teacher smiled.
I, on the other hand, just smiled at their teacher, but J was ashamed of her praise. Bree approached me. "I thought you couldn't think of anything to draw, but look at how good you are at drawing, but why didn't I know that?"
I smiled. "I rarely show off my drawing talent, so you never know, even though we've been friends for a few years."
"You're annoying! Did you see that your drawing is so beautiful? Maybe this is the last time you kept it a secret from me." Bree voice was threatening.
I smiled even more at Bree. "Promise this is the last and if there is anything, I'll tell you right away."
Bree smiled at me before returning to her sitting position. "Okay, class, the next day I'll just give you these drawings with scores. I don't have time to check everything. Just wait for the next teacher. " She took all the things from the table and left their classroom.
Charice, on the other hand, couldn't believe she wasn't being praised for her drawing, so she secretly looked bad in the back at Daniella while Daniella wasn't seeing it.
It was noon, and Daniella had finished eating when Bree's stomach suddenly hurt, so she informed her that she should go to the C.R. Daniella went out of the canteen and went for a walk, where she found herself on the court where someone was playing basketball. She stopped for a moment and watched the players while she was already outside with the screen in between.
With her excessive focus on watching others play basketball, she didn't notice that anyone stood beside her and also watched. "How's your practice?" I was startled when someone suddenly spoke, so I turned immediately and saw William.
At first I wondered why he was here, but later I just answered the question. "It's okay." And their discussion was never followed up on. I had decided to leave, just leave, without saying goodbye to William, but he suddenly asked, "Are you mad?"
I stopped, but I did not face William. I sighed. "No," I said.
"Why are you acting differently since I didn't come to the plaza last Saturday?"
I close my eyes. "I would have been an actress for a few days, but I changed my mind when I found out that Charice was with you," I said in my mind, but I didn't say that with my voice. "You just thought that," I said to William as I resumed my walk, but he interrupted me.
"I didn't know that you have a talent for the arts."
I was about to walk. "What is it that? William looks like he misses me. As far as I know, he didn't do that, asked me, "I said to myself. "You didn't ask, so you don't know," I answered philosophically.
"Why didn't you tell me that? You used to tell me everything about you before? "
I closed my eyes because I could not continue to leave, so I turned around and was ready to answer him with mixed annoyance when I suddenly stopped.
William walked behind her while she was speaking, so there was a little space between them now. "It looks like you're giving up on me," William said. I avoided looking at him in the eyes. I didn't speak either. "Let's see if there really isn't."
Suddenly, he come closer his face, which I surprised. My body was bending, and William smiled at me, and that's the moment my feet got weak and unbalanced. Now I'm on the ground. "Who said that you could come that close?" I complained.
"I was just checking to see if I was truly out of your system. I didn't know that's why you would react like this." He smiled at me and stepped away from where I was with a smile on his face. Daniella's face couldn't be believed as her eyes followed William.
"Where did he learn those moves? How can I be the best actress if he likes that? Grrrrrr." Daniella stood up and walked in the direction of their classroom.
