Chapter 28: Pageant Day

Now is Monday, and Daniella and Bree are already at school at noon to be able to prepare earlier, especially since only Bree will fix Daniella's hair and do her makeup. Before the pageant, the students were busy in the booths inside the gym and began to see what could be done while waiting for six o'clock in the evening for the start of the program.  They were in a classroom, and Bree and Daniella were just looking out of the classroom. "Do you want to go out?" Bree asked.

I snorted. "I'd like to see what's going on inside the gym."

"You can go." I turned to Bree. "But you will be the one left here alone."
Bree smiled. "What do you think I'm going to do here? I just need to guard you here because maybe someone will do something bad later. Especially the gown you're going to wear."

 "Who will do that?"

Suddenly Charice and some students passed by in front of the classroom where Daniella and Bree were. It looked like from their behavior that Charice just gave a fake smile until they passed. "You probably saw who passed by, so is better to be careful." Bree picked up her phone and checked the time. "It's only two o'clock, so you can still go out , but when it's exactly four o'clock, come back here because it takes a long time to fix your hair and makeup. "

I smiled at Bree and nodded. "I'll just take a moment to see what the booths look like." I waved at Bree and walked out of the classroom.

Daniella tried to see if most of the students were already inside the gym, so the way wasn’t too loose, but Daniella still tried to see every booth standing. When she first saw the coffee booth, she thought it was well-designed and that the coffee looked delicious. Second is the horror house, but she is just outside and standing next to it because the horror house is small. All the student does is startle everyone who enters the small house. The last booth she went to was the wedding booth, and she was amazed because of the beautiful design of the booth, which had a white net like a bride's veil on the head placed on the fabric with a table and two chairs. She was a few steps away from the booth, but when she saw the students being pulled into the wedding booth handcuffed to their partners,

Daniella went near the stage. The judges' seats on the side of the stage are also well arranged and ready, so she doesn't know if the judges are just teachers or if they have guests or others, but while she was looking at the stage, Charice, who had been watching a minute ago, was behind her. "Hello, did you sleep well? I think no because you were too excited about what was going to happen?"

I was a little bit startled and put my hand on my chest. I turned to her. "Is that your hobby? Every time we meet, you always ask that question. I'm not your friend either. Why say hello to me?"

Charice was a little embarrassed but recovered quickly and then smiled at Daniella. "That's correct, but I saw the girl who always followed you in a gown shop and I'm sure she got you a gown." "Really, okay."

Charice's hands are already clenched to my answer. "You haven't bought your own gown. Your friend just rented your gown for this pageant, so cheaply. " She even folded her arms as if to tease.

I looked at her lazily with two eyebrows raised. "So what if Bree just rented my gown? At least there's something to wear; it is not measured to join the pageant just because of how much you wear. Remember you can join to prove yourself in front of people if you should be nominated as the Most Beautiful Woman, not to flaunt how much you spent on the gown."

She looked at me badly. "If that's the case, I'm smarter, so I will win, but you, who are always the lowest in grades, I think even in the top 3 who will be chosen before being crowned, you won't be chosen. " She smirked at me. "You are in your 4th year of high school, but you still have a tutor." She still seems to be making me really pissed that I have a tutor.

I kept my cool and didn't let myself be affected by what Charice was saying, because if I did, Charice would definitely win this conversation. "At least I have manners. Do you have that?" I grinned teasingly. "Not everything is measured by intelligence, Charice. You must also have "manners" to say that you are really smart." Charice frowned at me. "Based on how you look, you don't understand what I told you, so who among us now has a smart mind?" I smiled at Charice before leaving, and as I left, I felt something hot behind my back that seemed to be coming from her eyes.

While I was going back to the classroom. "What did Charice think would make me afraid of her? My IQ is even higher than William."

Suddenly, someone spoke behind her. "And who proved that your IQ is higher than William's?"

I turned around and saw Bree's appearance and knew that I would lose my hair at any moment. "What are you saying there, like a crazy person? Don't you know that it's almost four o'clock in a few minutes? You're just now going back into the classroom! " Bree eyes narrowed even more.

"What—because I was just having fun," I replied while stuttering.

"Go and step your feet and walk. I've already faced a problem that hasn't even begun, and what you brought me, hurry up!" She said that only the two of them could hear.

I immediately walked quickly, and as soon as I entered the classroom, I immediately sat on the chair straight and just waited for Bree to enter. As soon as she enters, it looks like her mouth isn't over yet. "My gosh, Daniella, with your hair that is so long, I'm going to last a long time. Your face too, but I don't want your makeup to be too thick; just light makeup will do. Like I'm just leveling up your beauty. "

Bree has already started fixing Daniella's hair first. The hair is curled and combed to create a beautiful result that looks natural. Daniella's hair was just loose with two sides split, and then the make-up started on Daniella's face, so before six o'clock, Bree was done and Daniella had time to wear the gown.

Daniella is already in C.R. and wearing the gown; their school has its own comfort room in every classroom. "Hey! Daniella, hurry up! The host of the pageant starts talking," Bree shouted.

I had just finished lifting the zipper on the back of the gown when Bree shouted outside the C.R. "I'm done!" I shouted back and came out in the comfort room, but when Bree was ready to confront me, she was stunned and became a statue because she didn't move or blink.

I wondered why, so I grabbed her arm and shook her. "Bree moved; you look like you had a stroke in your whole body."

Bree came back to her senses and was now smiling at me. "You're really good at leveling up. You look like a real barbie. "

I smiled. "Really? How can I see my whole body? We don't have a big mirror here. "

Bree held my hand. "Don't bother with the mirror first because the pageant is starting, so come on!" Bree pulled me quickly, and even though my stilettos were too high, I kept my feet steady so that I wouldn't slip.
