Chapter 17

"You're asking what am I doing here? Of course shopping! Do you really think we're not going to the supermarket? No kidding, Leo!" Sofia said as she picked up four boxes of asparagua and three zucchini.

"Damn it, since when did a raw meat eater like you eat vegetables?"

"Since when did you say? Of course since I was born! Do you think we don't eat anything other than meat? Oops, I forgot that you've only been a werewolf for five years!" He said in a mocking tone. Leo knew there was no point in keeping up with Sofia.

"Sera, we have to buy some fresh fish, right? Let's go to the fish rack!" Leo said as he pulled the trolley and Sera's hand towards the seafood shelf.

"Hey, where are you guys going? I'm going with you. I'm going to buy some fish too!" Sofia followed Leo and Sera, much to Keith's dismay.

"You eat fish too, Sofia?" asked Ellen. An innocent girl who had absolutely no suspicion of Sofia.

"Yeah, sometimes I eat fish too! But of course I like raw meat the most. Have you ever tasted raw wild boar? It tastes so delicious!"

"Tch, let's not talk about raw meat again! That's disgusting!" chirps Keith. It seems that he hates all kinds of raw food. It made Keith Sofia burst out laughing because it made Keith even more angry.

"Hahaha...you see, Elen? She's so cute right? She's been in our pack for five years, but until now she still can't eat raw meat!"

"Dianlah! How can I eat raw food like that, it's disgusting!"

"Disgusting, you say? If you don't eat raw meat, your hunting instincts will weaken and you'll have a hard time fighting other werewolves!"

"Does Keith have to fight the other werewolves?" asked Ellen.

"Someday it will be yes! My father decided that Keith will replace father as alpha if father dies. However, the other members will definitely oppose if Keith's fighting skills are bad. Alpha is responsible for the family and all the members of the pack. Therefore, Keith must prepare himself if at any time father dies!"

"Your father is Mr Claude?"

"Yeah, that's right! Dad asked Keith to marry me right away, but this annoying Keith is always stalling!"

"M-married?"

"Shit, let's not talk anymore! Who wants to get married now? I'm still not ready!" Keih looks very annoyed, while Sofia is getting more and more excited to tease him.

Elen is stunned, she thinks Keith and Sofia look very compatible and they can be a great couple. For some reason it reminded him of the relationship between him and Charlie. She was starting to miss Charlie and all the little things about him.

"Charlie, I missed you!"

"Elen, thank you dear? Today you were really very helpful!" Said the mother. Elen hadn't done anything great at all. She only helps with shopping, preparing food and washing dishes.

While the women are busy in the kitchen, the men are drunk in the living room laughing out loud. They can do nothing in this city other than reminisce about the past.

"It's okay, I'm going to my room after this!"

"How are you feeling now? Are you feeling better?"

"What do you mean, Mother?"

"I was really worried about you, but thankfully, now you look more cheerful than usual. I feel so happy! I didn't expect Keith to be so reliable!" Said his mother. Elen was stunned, even though Keith had told her that Keith was asked by her parents to help her revive her spirit, but still she felt very guilty because until now she still couldn't tell them what really happened to Uncle Carl.

After finishing washing the dishes, Elan decided to go back to his room. But before he reached his room, he saw Keith standing alone on the balcony. Elen hesitated as to whether she should approach Keith or ignore him and enter the room. Elen hesitated, but finally she decided to approach Keith.

"What are you doing here?" asked Ellen. He walked awkwardly and stopped a meter beside Keith.

"Nothing! I'm just staring at the moon!" He replied while looking up at the sky.

"Like you said, the full moon will soon be!"

"Yeah, maybe in a day or two!"

"What will happen to you at full moon? Will you be okay!"

"Of course not! I can't be here when the full moon comes. I have to join the rest of the pack!"

"Does that mean you're going with them?"

"Only for a while until the full moon ends!"

"Are you going to be okay all this time, Keith?"

"You're worried about me?"

"Yes, just a little!"

"Haha...really?"

"You'd better not be overconfident, Keith. I just don't want to see uncle and aunt grieve if something bad happens to you!"

"Ellen!"

"Yes, what is up?"

"Did you know that I am not my mother's biological child?"

"W-what do you mean? I have absolutely no idea!"

"Is that so? I thought you knew it!"

"No, not at all! What are you really saying? How come you're not Aunt's biological child?"

"My mother died after giving birth to me and a few months after my birth mother died, my father dated a woman who already had two children and when I was two years old, he decided to marry her!"

"S-so Aunt Margareth isn't your real mother?"

"Yeah, that's how it is! But being so nice to me makes me almost can't believe that she's not my real mother!"
