Chapter 29
Sera opened her eyes, her body was shaking and cold sweat was already dripping down her body. She saw sunlight starting to sneak in through the windows in her room, she was still afraid of the dream, the dream that had controlled her soul became a killer.
She felt her bed, she felt something was missing. Last night she slept with Rosie, her little sister. But now that Rosie wasn't beside her, it was still too early for Rosie to wake up. A bad premonition shook Elen's soul again. She remembered the dream she had just seen a few minutes ago.
"No! Please no more! Please!" She muttered. She panicked, she tried to find Rosie around her room. But she couldn't find her anywhere.
“Rosie…! Rosie, where are you?" She screamed hysterically looking for Rosie's whereabouts.
Realizing Rosie wasn't in her room, Elen immediately ran outside to look for her youngest sister. Elen kept screaming hysterically, making the whole family wake up.
"Rosie...! Rosie, where are you? Answer me! Rosie...!" She shouted. Uncle John and Aunt Margareth woke up and immediately opened their bedroom door.
"What's the matter, Elen? What about Rosie?" Ask Uncle John.
“Uncle, Rosie isn't here! She's gone!" She said shaking. Her breath caught in her throat. She looked so scared and depressed.
"Rosie? Didn't she sleep with you last night?"
“She was with me, but when I woke up, she was gone! I can't find her anywhere!"
"Calm down, Elen! Don't panic! Maybe she's playing outside because she's bored!”
“But it's still 7 in the morning, Uncle! She never woke up this early! I am very scared! I'm afraid something bad will happen to her!" Elen sobbed. The memory of her nightmare made her even more uneasy. Her father had died because of her dream and Charlie's whispers. Now, she really didn't want this to happen to Rosie either.
"Okay, let's find her now! You look for her in your mom's room! Let me and your Aunt find her outside!” Uncle John and Aunt Margareth hurried off to find Rosie in the yard, hoping the little girl wasn't playing too far from the house.
Meanwhile, Elen knocked on her mother's door which was still closed, she tried to wake her mother who since her father's die two days ago, had kept herself locked in her room.
"Mom? Mom, open the door!” Elen exclaimed as she knocked on the door.
"What's wrong, Elen?" Her mother said in a weak and low voice.
"Mom, is Rosie with you?"
"Rosie? She's not here! Why, Elen? Didn't she sleep with you?"
"Y-yes, but now she's gone! I don't know where she is!" She said. Listen to Elen's words. Her mother immediately opened the door. However, before she could ask again, Aunt Margareth shouted from the backyard.
“Rosie…! Oh my God...!" Aunt Margareth screamed hysterically. Her scream made Elen's heart almost jump out of her body. Elen and her mother walked quickly to her uncle and aunt in the backyard, on the edge of the lake.
Seeing the terrifying scene before her eyes, Elen's body froze for a moment. Her eyes widened, she felt as if time had stopped spinning. Beside her, her mother looked so shocked that she almost fell. She limped towards the shore of the lake.
"No...! Oh my God, I hope this is just a dream! Please wake me up from my nightmare! I beg you, Oh God!" Her tears flowed freely. She cried silently. While her mother already looks like a crazy person who doesn't know what to do.
"Uncle?" Elen looked at her uncle with a look of disbelief. Uncle John was already standing by the lake, carrying the lifeless body of a little girl. On the grass, Rosie's teddy bear lay just like that.
"Oh, my God!" Uncle John tried to contain his sadness. Meanwhile, Aunt Margareth tries to calm her mother who still doesn't seem to believe what really happened. Elem lowered her head, she could already guess what was happening. But she couldn't believe that his clueless sister Rosie had to be a victim of Charles' barbarity.
"Not! This is not possible! Why should Rosie be the victim? Why should it be her? Charlie, you are so mean! You bastard...! You bastard, Charlie!" Elen sat down on the wet grass. She sobbed. She blamed herself for what had happened to her father and sister. She began to think, if only she had not met Charlie, if only she had not fallen in love to him, none of this would have happened. But regretting it all seemed too late. Charlie was in control of her mind, she couldn't escape this curse.
"Rosie...! Oh my God...!" Her Mother's screams finally sounded, after minutes she tried to process what was going on. But when she saw her little girl's face that had turned pale, she burst into tears.
“Rosie…! What happened, oh God?" Her cries sounded very heartbreaking. She hugged her daughter's dead body.
Elen was silent, only tears showing how sad and hurt she was right now. Sam who just came home a few minutes ago, was silent without a word. Beside him, Jimmy hugged him as he sobbed. They didn't make a sound, but tears streamed down their faces. A few steps behind them, Grandma sat weakly covering her face and hiding her tears. She did not know, why such a big disaster befell her family.
"God, please protect us!"

Keith gasped, he opened his eyes when he heard Elen's heartbreaking cry. He sensed something bad was happening again and it seemed, this would continue to happen if he didn't act quickly.
Keith rose from his spot, the sunlight shining reassuring him that he would be fine if he came home this morning and returned before sunset. He just wanted to see, what really happened? And why had he heard Elen cry since yesterday?
His desire to return home is getting more and more unstoppable. He couldn't wait for the full moon to end because there was no guarantee that everything would be fine until then.
"You want to go, Keith?" Ask Jean. He could see Keith's intention to leave and of course he wouldn't let that happen.
"If I leave this morning, I can come back before sunset. I'm sure I'll be here before the moon appears in the sky!"
"No kidding, Keith! You know you can't go anywhere right now, right? Don't get us all in trouble, Keith!"
"Then, what should I do? Tell me, what should I do? Wait until all my family members die?" He shouted annoyed. He couldn't stop himself from eliminating Charles again who he considered to be the catastrophe in this world.
"I know you're really worried about your family! But if you go back now, there's no guarantee things will just go away! What if your presence will only make things worse? Remember, Keith! Your current state is very unstable, your form could change without you realize and worst of all, your predatory instincts will harm everyone!"
