Chapter 28

"Tch, damn it!" Leo growled in annoyance. His heart felt uneasy since he decided to leave his grandmother's house.

It's been three days, he and his pack performed a ritual by staying away from human life. He sensed that something bad had happened to Sera and his family.

"What's the matter, Leo? Are you worried about something?" Sofia asked who was standing behind Keith.

Leo refused to turn his head, his eyes fixed on the steep cliff. If he could, he wanted to go back home just to see how his family was doing and make sure everyone was okay.

"Something bad has happened!" He said. His hands were clenched into fists, shaking. He couldn't just stand and wait like this.

"What do you mean? What happened?"

"Nathaniel, that bastard! He must be up to something! I'm sure of it!"

"So,,m what can you do now? Don't tell me you want to go home now, Keith?"

"Yeah, you're right! I have to get home before it's too late!"

"Don't kidding, Leo! You can't leave, now! Look up! It's a full moon now, it would be very dangerous if you approach humans!"

"But, I can't keep waiting like this! My family's safety is in danger. If Charles influences Elen and takes control of her mind, she could get everyone killed!" Keith looked very agitated. He knew the bad feeling he was feeling right now wasn't just a feeling. This was a terrible reality that he would eventually face.

Claude and Jean came over to Keith and Sofia. Claude could feel Keith's nervousness and he knew it was all because of Charles.

"Sorry I overheard you two talking, but looks like I have to get myself involved, Keith!" Claude said as he walked over to, Keith.

Claude took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He couldn't let his pride members be in a bad situation. Because right now, Keith is their only hope to beat David and his pack.

"Dad, Keith wants to go back to his house! Stop him, Daddy!" Sofia said.

"Did you smell something, Keith? Tell me, what are you thinking right now?"

"Charles has taken action! I'm sure this time he won't be buying any more time! He knows that I won't be watching Elen for a few days, that's where that bastard takes a chance. One of my family members has died and the next one is bound to happen again!"

"Oh no! He really didn't waste the opportunity! I'm sure it was also David's insistence!"

"I don't know, but it's possible! Charles is a very cunning person, he will do anything to fulfill his ambitions. That's why I can't let him live freely in this world! I have to kill him again, I have to do it before it's too late!"

"I understand, but for now you have to hold yourself back, Keith! Remember, no matter what happens, you can't leave the pack! Don't come back home before the full moon ends!"

“N-no way, this can't be! I couldn't have done it, I was asleep at the time. I didn't do it!" Elen sobbed. denied everything Charlie said. She didn't feel she was doing anything bad, much less to her own parents.

“Hahaha...Elen! You were really great. Now I really believe you really love me, Elen! Because of your great love for me, you were able to kill your dad. You know what, Elen? I'm very proud of you!"

"No...! I didn't! You are lying! You are lying…! I can't kill my dad! No...!" Elen screamed hysterically.

“You made me fall madly in love with you, Elen! If you had opened your eyes at that time, you would have seen your dad moaning for help from his daughter who had the heart to ignore him." Charlie smirked. He felt very satisfied seeing Elen suffer like this.

"No...! Impossible! You bastard…!” Elen pelted Charlie with objects that were nearby, of course it couldn't hurt Charlie. He parried all of that without needing to change positions.

“Elen, maybe you don't understand what's going on with you right now. I think I can tell you!” Charlie disappeared from Elen's presence, he was nowhere. A moment later, a saxophone sounded which was a big warning to her.

Elen covered her ears with her hands, she didn't want to hear that sound, not now and not forever. However, the more Elen refused to hear it, the more the voice took hold of her. Something forced its way into her soul, snatching Elen's freedom and controlling her mind.

"No…! Please stop, Charlie! I beg you to stop!” Even though Elen kept begging Charlie to let her go. But the voice was getting more and more control over her mind. Elen couldn't resist, the strange soul entered her body again.

Elen was silent, her eyes were blank. The ferocious screams stopped escaping from her mouth, now she was speechless. Elen stood up straight and began to walk down the aisle after aisle of the ship. Elen is looking for a prey figure that is ready to be snatched away by her soul.

A drunk man staggered to his cabin alone, he walked while continuing to drink beer in the bottle he was holding. Elen followed him with a cold gaze, yes, the prey has been found, the man was one of the people who tortured and killed Charles.

When he arrived in the cabin, the man immediately locked the door and put his drink bottle on the table, his red eyes trying to look around. The man went into the bathroom, took off his clothes and soaked in the bath up. While humming incoherently, his eyes began to close because of the dizziness lodged in his head from drunkenness.

Elen looked at him with hatred, Charlie was controlling and controlling her soul. Elen reached out her hand and grabbed the man's head, he buried his head in the water. The man came to her senses and opened his eyes, he fought back but his strength was not strong enough and his consciousness had not yet recovered.

“P-please…! Help me…!” He shouted with his head submerged in the water. Even though he tried to fight back, his unconscious state made him weak.

“H-help-” He moaned, his mouth filled with water. A few seconds later, the man suffocated to death with his eyes open.

Elen let go of her grip and left his prey who was lying dead without a soul.
