Chapter 26

Towards the end of the movie, Autumn fell asleep on my lap. When it finally finished we turn off the projector and clean up. Silas lifts Autumn into his arms looks towards me.
” I can carry her to her room if you lead the way” He says. I nod and lead him up to Autumns room. I go up the stairs and down the hall my room is located. Luckily her room is a few doors down from mine. I go and open the door and let him in. I follow him in and he gently lays her on the bed trying to not wake her. I go and take off her small shoes and tuck her in under her covers. He lightly pats her on the head and smiles warmly. My heart flutters as a response to that smile. We leave the room and I slowly and quietly click the door closed.
I walk to my room and Silas follows to my side. I reach my door and turn towards him.
“Thank you for spending time with me and Autumn today.” I say with a smile. “Although its going to be hard to keep her away from you now. She loves you.” I giggle.
“She’s a wonderful girl. It’ll be nice having a little sister who likes to be with me.” He smiles a bit sadly.
“By the way. What did you and my Mom talk about after I left?” I ask suspiciously.
“It’s nothing.” He says a bit hastily. “She just wanted to discuss something with me. Nothing important.”
“Uh huh.”I raise my eye brow. I don’t buy it. “I find it funny how you torture me for information and now your hiding something.”
“Well,. That was mostly Autumn. She’s the one you wanted revenge on you. I just aided her.” He chuckles smugly. We stare each other in the eyes and our laughter stops. I then start to remember what almost happened in the forest. My mind begins to wonder about being kissed by him again. I want to, but I’m afraid. I never been kissed or kissed anyone before. What if I’m awful at it.
“I really want this to work. I want to be with you, Athena.” He says. My attention is caught and I stare at him with widened eyes.
“I do too.” I manage to bring myself to say. I feel my cheeks get hot and my heart starts to frantically beat. To keep my heart from beating any faster I try to change the subject.
“We having a training session in the morning. It would be nice if you joined me. I would love to learn from you.” I look away to calm down my nerves.
“I would love that. I walk down there with you in the morning. Sleep well, Angel.” He says and gives me a light kiss on the forehead. He turns his back and starts to walk a way.
Why am I such a coward? I don’t want to be. I want my mate just like my wolf does, but I’m so afraid of messing up. I don’t want him to think I’m so incompetent.
“Athena there is nothing to be afraid of. This is your chance. Take it.” Blanche gives me encouragement and nudges me forward. “He wants this too, but he doesn’t want to force anything on you. Take the first step and tell him how you feel.”
She’s right. She is completely right. It’s now or never. Just as he is about to go down the stairs I yell out to him. “Silas! Wait!” I compel my feet to go forward and cast away all my insecurities and fears. He is my mate. This should come naturally.
He turns towards me and he tilts his head curiously. “What is it?”
I stop in front of my mate and stare into his eyes. “I’m done being a coward.” I say with resolution. I go to my tip toes and wrap my arms around his neck. I bring my face closer to his and my lips lightly touch his. With my eyes closed, I can feel his lips on mine. They are soft, softer than I expected. I feel him stiffen in shock. He didn’t expect me to make the first move. After a few seconds of processing he finally allows his arms to go around my waist a brings me closer to him. He gives him self over to me completely and returns my kiss. Sparks and passion blaze through me like a burning flame. I can feel Blanche purr in delight. She has waited so long for this.
He backs me into the wall and slightly lifts me up and I wrap my legs around his waist. He deepens the kiss and my lips slightly part and I let out a soft moan of pleasure. He takes this opportunity and slips his tongue in my mouth and it meets with my mine. Then starts to let his hands travel up my body. His hands find their way up my shirt and I feel his large hands on my bare waist. Causing the sparks to become more intense and pleasurable. If there is ever a time I want time to stop, it is right now. I want nothing to interrupt this moment. I want this to last.
Time goes by and didn’t seem like enough. He breaks the kiss and we are breathless. I pant and I lean and let my forehead connect to his. I close my eyes and try to allow my breathing to clam down. That really just happened. I smile to myself knowing it was worth it.
I open my eyes and look into his, and his eyes are glowing. His smile is warm and doesn’t break my eye contact.
“My Angel becomes bold. You continue to surprise me.” He lightly chuckles and places a soft hand on my cheek. I lean into it and smile.
“I know. Im full of surprises.” I giggle. He lightly strokes my cheek and giving no sign of letting me go.
“It was a really nice surprise. I hope to get more in the future.” He grins slyly. Now there’s the mischievousness I was waiting to resurface.
Finally he lets me out of his grip and before we go our separate ways he gives me a sweet and light kiss.
“Good night Angel.” He says with a smile and goes down the stairs to his room. I twirl around and turn the door knob to my room. I lightly close the door behind me and I go and collapse on my bed. I feel my smile is wide because im proud of what I accomplished. I should have listened to Blanche sooner.
“Yes you should have.” She scoffs in my head. “I was right now wasn’t I? You want him as much as I do?”
I shake my head and giggle. “Yes Blanche, you were right.” I can feel her victorious grin and finally quiets down. I get up and change into my pajamas and slide into my covers without my smile leaving my face. Then for the first time in over a week. My dream is a good one.
Im taken to what seems the future. I am standing as a bystander and look around.
Around me I see my mate, friends, my brother, and my Mom. We are a bit older than we are now and they are all smiling at two small bundles in my arms. I look down and see a dark hair and ocean blue eyed little babe. She has a small moon crescent on her forehead and is decorated with delicate little swirls and lines like her fathers. She is cooing and her eyes are traveling around the room. When they land on future me she gives me the brightest tiny little smile. The other is a light blond little girl with large violet eyes. She also has a similar lunar mark on her forehead like her sister and father. She looks at her twin and stares at her with wonder.
I gaze at them affectionately and future me gives them each a light and tender kiss on their delicate little heads. These must be the daughters I imagine Silas and I have in the future.
I look up to my mate and find a warm and proud smile on his face. Me places a large hand on my future selfs head and looks at the cooing bundles of joy. He looks at the dark haired little beauty and ponders.
“Aurora, Aurora Grace Black. What do you think Angel?” He asks with a gentle smile.
“That’s lovely sweetheart.” I say approvingly. “My little Aurora.” I gaze at my little girl adoringly. Then my eyes travel to my precious blond daughter. “Serenity Willow Black.” I whisper with a gentle smile on my face.
“That’s beautiful Angel.” I gaze up at Silas with a loving look.
“They are beautiful honey!” Mom says and gazes at us with happiness.
I look around the room and I tear up in joy. This is the future I want and desire. I want to eventually feel this endless happiness. I don’t want to wake up from this bliss. No matter what it takes, ill make sure this dream comes true.
