“AH! There she is.” Desmond said standing up to greet me with a hug. Dominic stared at me with wide eyes, then started laughing.
“What is so funny?” Desmond asked shooting him a stern look. I knew he was laughing when he realized who I was. HAHAHA…
“I thought you were joking about her.” Dominic glared at his dad, then burst into laughter.
“Trust us. You are not the only one.” Eli said laughing sitting down. Riley walked in high fiving me as she walked over to take her seat next to Eli.
“What is it with you two and being barefoot?” Seth said looking at Riley’s feet under the table, then to mine. We both started laughing, reaching for our glasses of Whiskey.
“Hey, I blame Mei. After I watched her fight those five warriors barefooted, and saw how much easier she moved around, I said “What the Hell!” why not try it myself.” Riley said shrugging her shoulders.
Desmond and Dominic had a curious look on their faces looking at each other.
“Well, I guess it runs in the family. Your Aunt Izzy is the same damn way.” Desmond said patting Dominic on his shoulder laughing.
“Speaking of which, your Aunt should be here shortly.” Desmond said sipping his whiskey.
A sweet sing-song voice caught my attention from the doorway. There stood the woman from Desmond’s vision. She was in the doorway one second, then had me engulfed into a massive hug the next.
How the fuck did she move so fast?
Never mind, flash step. I totally forgot vampires can do that. Wait! She is my Aunt, so is she not a werewolf too?
Okay, questions pilling up.
“Izzy honey let the poor girl go. She is still adjusting to everything.” Desmond said pulling out a chair for her to sit-down.
“You hush. I have searched fourteen years for this little girl, and of all places she ends up. Alpha Jack’s!” She said huffing rolling her eyes sarcastically.
“Hey, I take offense to that statement. She is in good hands here.” Jack said pulling out my chair for me to sit-down. Eli, Seth, and Max all broke out in laughter.
“Oh, she is in good hands. Huh?” Izzy wiggled her brows at Jack. I smoothly covered my laugh. Jack side glanced me, grabbing my thigh causing me to “Yelp” at the contact.
“For Fuck sake MOM! I do not need visuals of my cousin.” Dominic face palmed himself, receiving a firm smack across his head.
“Watch your damn mouth. You may be an adult, but I will not tolerate that kind of talk at dinner.” Izzy hissed while downing her Whiskey in one gulp. My kind of lady.
“Now Mei, your Uncle here told me some things I do not like at all.” Izzy said her eyes turning deep red. Desmond placed his hand on her thigh, whispering something in her ear. Closing her eyes, revealing her natural green with red flecks. Same eyes as Lindsey in my dream.
“It’s a vampire trait. They turn when angry, or hungry.” Kyou said.
“Oh, I was wondering when you would appear.” I said flashing a smile.
“That shift, and everything else, wiped me out.” Kyou said rolling her eyes.
“Well, I am glad you are back. I was worried.” I said humming.
“Hey, I am not going anywhere.” She said sticking her tongue out.
“Mei sweetie, you okay?” Izzy said looking at me concerned. Everyone looked at me oddly.
“Yeah. Kyou finally woke-up after being out of it the past week.” I said grabbing a plate of sautéed Chicken breast with onions, mashed potatoes, and green beans. So, Yummy!
“Okay, so back to what Uncle Desmond has been telling you. Yes, I was taken, fought to survive, beaten, tortured, raped, and all that fabulous shit, but I won my fight. I earned a place here in Demon Wolf, found my mate, made friends, an old friend reappeared, discovered I have family, and a delusional ancient vampire wants to use me to gain the throne back, along with my mates’ blood. Does that cover everything so far?” I stated and asked all in the same breath.
Gob smacked looks, then anger, shock, sadness, then happy. Yep, that about sums it up. Oh, this chicken is so juicy, the onions are just the right tenderness with the mashed potatoes.
“Smartass.” Kyou laughed.
“Ha, you are one to talk.” I laughed back sticking my tongue out.
“Yep! She is so your family.” Dominic laughed looking over at his mother. Popping the P.
“Speaking of which, the woman I saw in that vision?” I asked looking at my Uncle, who was looking at my Aunt.
“That was me sweetie. We have unfinished business with Raven and seeing how he is involved with all of this.” Izzy said twirling her finger around in the air with a murderous look in her eye.
“So, you are now vampire?” I asked looking at her with a raised brow.
“Yes, I was werewolf when I met Desmond, but thankfully we were mated at the time Raven ambushed us, while we were looking for you.” Izzy said smiling at me with a look I did not understand.
“That is Love. Family Love.” Kyou hummed.
“Dominic is hybrid.” She said smiling at him. He glanced at me then looked down.
“I take it you had a crush on her?” Eli said looking at Dominic whose face turned red avoiding direct eye contact.
“Yeah. I mean who would not be, look at her, and the way she kicked my ass.” Dominic’s eyes lighting up at the mentioning of our fight, holding his hand towards me.
“Well, she is MINE! My mate.” Jack huffed keeping Goki at bay. I placed my hand on his thigh stroking lightly, leaning over to whisper in his ear.
“It’s okay. I am not going anywhere.” I whispered kissing his cheek. Izzy’s laughing broke us out of our trans.
“She is perfect for you Jack.” Izzy said kissing Desmond’s cheek.
“Okay, so this family reunion! How do you want to do this? Max has his informant coming by in about an hour.” Jack said looking at Desmond and the guys. Riley, Izzy, and me all had big smiles.
“It looks like the girls have some ideas.” Max said laughing pointing his finger between us.
“Well, I had this idea when I first had the pleasure of meeting her.” I said looking over at Riley and Izzy,
“Which was?” Jack asked raising a brow at my mischievous look.
“Are they fake or real?” I laughed. Riley and Izzy busted up laughing while the guys all shared the same looks.
“What!” They all exclaimed. I had the Cheshire Grin from ear-to-ear.
“Oh, please. This coming from the one who castrated Titan, and fed his dick and balls to his dogs, while poor Jaxon and Braxton held his body. Dean had nightmares for two nights.” Eli boomed laughing.
“That’s our girl.” Izzy laughed nodding in agreement to my idea.
“Well, it is only natural, they look like rocks. No natural sway and jiggle.” I said side glancing Jack with a shit eating grin. The guys laughing shaking their heads.
“Now I see why I liked you the first time we met.” Max laughed nudging Seth, who was holding his stomach laughing so hard.
“Hey, we all have dark humor. I am just a fucking ray of sunshine.” I laughed holding my hands up in the air shrugging.
“I am just curious to see what happens later tonight.” Dominic said downing his whiskey. Pointing his finger at the three ladies.
“Actually, I think it is about time, we head over.” Jack said nodding at the wall clock.
We all stood, Eli and Riley leading the way out of the dining room. I was walking past, when Jack grabbed my arm, swinging me around into his chest, hoisting my body up crashing his hot whiskey laced lips against mine.
A deep moan escaped my lips, only for him to capture it plunging his tongue further into mine. Our tongues battled back and forth, until one of us backed off, submitting to the other.
