Caged Beast

Mei:
I keep hearing deep growling, Kyou is humming still in the shadows.
I have barely eaten anything, but the unlucky rat that got close enough became my sacrifice.
Chatter from the guards indicate Raven is going to demonstrate my fighting strength. Something about Victor’s right-hand man, Aeros. Bring it on.
The distinctive clicks of Raven’s shoes on the stone floor brought my attention to the cell door opening. Black shorts and tank top landed at my feet. I smirked at the memory.
“Get dressed.” Raven hissed standing in the doorway watching me. The guards released my chains, standing up not caring about my nakedness. I slid on the cloths, pulling my hair up in my signature high ponytail. Raven flashed me a sly smirk, eyeing my body.
“Our guests will be arriving shortly.” Raven said turning as the guards shoved me out the door, down the hallway to the Elevator.
We were going up, a quick glance indicated Ground floor, so I was in a subfloor like the “Barn”. The door opened to reveal a large warehouse structure, an enclosed fighting cell was erected in the center with heavy grade metal linked fencing.
A large crowd had already started forming around the cell. Men and women dressed in their best cloths, cologne, perfume, cigar smoke filled my nose, making me gag.
Another hard shove from behind, caused me to spin around landing a solid fist to the assholes nose then a hard kick to his junk. Raven grabbed my throat pressing his nail into my jugular.
“That’s enough Flower.” Raven hissed against my ear. Rolling my eyes at his comment.
I scanned the crowd, when my eyes landed on Alpha Damian, who was standing with another large man and petite woman with long brown hair. Damian gave me a stern look and nod. If he is here then, Jack!
I scanned the warehouse, smelling, feeling for anything. Nothing. Too many smells. Damian pulled his phone out acting like he was taking a call. I zoned in on his voice.
“Mei, nod if you can hear me.” He asked. I nodded to let him know I could hear him.
“Good. Jack is on his way. Just hang in there, we will get you out of here.” He said leaning over to the couple saying something as their eyes met mine.
The woman’s eyes grew sad at the look of me, while the man with her grew angry. She placed her hand on his arm, visibly calming him down. He must me another Alpha.
The cell came into view as we neared it. A tall mid-40’s man stood to the side. I have seen him before he would come to my fights, watching me closely every time.
“Aeros.” Raven greeted the man with a soft chuckle.
“Raven, this is her.” Aeros snorted looking down at me with his deep brown eyes with red flecks. His short black hair, tall lean build said he was a trained fighter. I gave him a once over then smirked.
“Oh, so your Victor’s lap dog. Whoof! Whoof!” I laughed walking past him into the cell, holding my hands out for my shackles and chains to be removed. He hissed at my remark.
I stalked around the cell, scanning the room, people, the surroundings. I was a caged animal, and I was going to survive. My warm-up walked into the cell. Well, ten warm-ups, all kinds of fun. Hybrids.
“You ready to play, boys.” I laughed watching as they circled around me, huffing, snorting, hissing.
GROWL… Vibrating the metal enclosure as I prepared to fight. A few were taken back by the sheer power of my Growl, side glancing the other wolf hybrids. I nodded to let it happen. The Vamp-bear behind me grabbed me around my waist, thrusting my head backwards into his nose as I planted my foot into the were-bear that rushed from the front.
Using that momentum flipping my body up and over the Vamp-bear, slamming my fist into his ribs sending him flying into the Vamp-were the approached from my left.
Another loud growl roared from my lungs as I went into full-on kill mode. Only my claws, slashed, ripped, tore each one that approached me. The last guy dropped to his knees begging, showing his neck to me. Submission. I watched him closely.
“Kill him.” Someone shouted.
“You are a pussy. I should have killed you years ago.” A man’s voice boomed from the crowd. I watched as he shook at the voice.
“How long?” I asked the guy kneeling.
“Fourteen years.” He said bowing his head. He was part of Victor’s round-up.
“Same.” I said coldly stepping back.
Then a loud bang, crimson streaming down his head. I lost it.
He was like me, taken from his family, tortured, beaten, fought to survive. Just to be shot dead.
Hot tears flowed down my face as his lifeless body slumped to the ground. I crouched down, running my hand over his eyes, hoping the Goddess received his soul. Let him be at peace.
A deep growl shook deep inside my head. Kyou howled bowing in submission. Another deep chesty growl erupted as a tall silver human-wolf with Jade green eyes, stepped out from the shadows.
“Mei control your emotions.” It spoke deeply but female.
“You are my Lycan?” I asked stated looking at it in amazement.
“Yes, I am Moon.” It stated shaking out its silver fur, stretching its limbs.
“Wait until the rest get here.” Moon said taking a stand next to Kyou. I nodded in agreement.
A voice echoed over the loudspeaker.
“Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to our Fight Night. Tonight’s main event will be one of the centuries. My very own, Mei verses Aeros. You already witnessed what she can do against ten hybrids, how about a pure blood Vampire? Betting is welcomed. Enjoy tonight’s show.” Voice cut out.
Shouting and talking erupting in the crowd as money was being held up, bets taken, and markers passed out.
I paced around thinking about that guy, my situation, Jack, Demon Wolf, my pups. I gently brushed my hand across my stomach like I was rubbing out my hips. I caught Damian’s gaze again, watching me pace back and forth.
Waiting for Aeros to make his grand entrance. I could feel my skin growing hot, my veins felt like lava rushing through them.
Breathing deeply, keeping my calm as best as I could. The sounds of cheering erupted from the crowd as a path was cleared showing Aeros stalking towards the cell.
Arrogant Bastard.
