“Max what am I doing here man?” I looked at Max sitting casually, leg half-crossed his arms folded behind his head.
“Waiting.” He replied closing his eyes humming.
“Really. He’s humming.” Aki huffed. The sound of voices snapped my attention to the group entering the office. I sat up sharply, bowing my head to Alpha Jack as he took his seat behind his desk.
“So, Lexi what did you think?” He asked coldly. Studying me like a predator.
“I only know what I witnessed, and it sounded like she was guilty of everything presented.” I said sounding distant. Max shifted his head to look at Jack, making me nervous.
“Lexi, I will be straight with you. My mate, Mei, her wolf claims you are family, possibly a brother.” He said leaning forward crossing his arms on the desk. Fuck me!
“Yeah, my wolf was saying something about family.” I replied. I am not lying. I do not want to die.
While debating my near death, jade eyes, and Mei walked-in, I swore I was looking at a ghost when the light hit jade eyes. The breath caught in my throat as I looked at her, staring like a stalker.
“There is no way. You are Dead. I saw your body.” I screamed running my hands through my hair, pacing back and forth. I felt cold hands grab my face. Then a name I have not heard since I was a kid.
“Alexander”. She whispered. Looking at me with wide eyes, pulling me into a deep hug. I pushed away from her, not knowing what to do. She looked upset but smiled.
“Will someone tell me what the FUCK IS GOING ON!” I crescendo into a scream. Mei laughed lightly walking around jade eyes.
“Let me ask this. Who do you think I am?” She asked looking at me with love filled eyes.
“My mother.” I whispered looking away to the ground.
“Oh, Alexander I am so sorry. We searched for both of you that night. We thought you were dead, but I never gave up.” She said grabbing my hand, which felt soothing in a way.
“Lexi, I am your Aunt Izzy.” She smiled running her hand across my face.
“No! This cannot be true. I lost everyone that night. I hid in the woods, until Astro took me in.” I huffed feeling annoyed.
“Lexi what is your wolf telling you?” Mei asked grabbing my hand. Warm fuzzy tingles crept through my body.
“Their telling the truth.” Aki started crying. Howling. I had no idea tears started falling from my eyes. Both smiled, hugging me tightly.
“How? When? What the Hell!” I exclaimed looking at them. Alpha Jack had a big smile on his face watching the family reunion.
“How about you stay the night, and we can continue this in the morning.” Jack said standing up walking over to us, pulling Mei into his chest, resting his chin on her head.
“I shouldn’t be here. I only came to deliver these files to this dickhead.” I said pointing my thumb at Max. I wanted to smack that smug smile off his face.
“Actually, this is one of the reasons I brought you here.” Max said standing up. Walking over to the reddish haired guy, holding him tightly. He is gay!
“Okay, explain before I make any decisions.” I said pointing at everyone. Just give me some damn answers.
“Here let me show you.” Mei said grabbing my hand. A rush of energy jolted through me, then images. Children, fighting, torture, Max, Mei. Oh, Goddess!! They hurt my sister. I collapsed into her arms. Crying.
“What was that?” I asked with tears streaming uncontrollably.
“That was one of my abilities.” Mei said hugging me. It felt weird to hug a sister I thought was dead. I have an Aunt. Wait! Desmond.
“That means you are married to the Vampire King, Dominic is your son, my cousin. You are mated to Alpha Jack, Luna of Demon Wolf. Max is gay, mated to that guy. You belonged to Titan, who was paid by Raven to train you, and all hell is fixing to break loose.” I yelled pointing excitedly through the group. Everyone started laughing shaking their heads.
“At least he catches on quickly.” Reddish haired guy laughed. Walking over holding his hand out to shake.
“I am Gamma Seth, Max’s mate. Yes, we’re gay.” He laughed shaking my hand. I mentally face palmed myself.
“Yes sweetheart. I am Queen Nightshade. Dominic is my son, your cousin, and King Desmond is your Uncle.” Izzy stated holding my hand smiling. Just like mom. Creepy…
“We have a lot to catch up on, but I think a good night’s sleep will do you some good.” Mei said nudging my arm.
She smiled, but her eyes seemed distant. I feel the same way. I mean, I am happy that my sister is alive, and I have an Aunt, but fourteen years of lost time. My head was pounding, I tried speaking but my voice was non-existent. The room started spinning, and darkness hit me like a wall.

After Lexi passed out, Jack catching him before he smacked the ground, we got him comfortable on Seth and Max’s floor. We figured he would feel more at ease knowing Max, so we left him a note to call Max when he wakes up and showers.

“I think we should let them out for a little. Today was crazy, but I want them to enjoy tonight also.” I said leaning onto my elbow, staring at Jack’s face. He nodded in agreement.
“Yeah, I agree. We have been pretty busy this past week.” He said standing up, hoisting me up to my feet. We both shifted in our room, letting Kyou and Goki take control, while we slipped into the shadows. It is weird letting go of control, but the feeling of floating in darkness was very relaxing.
“Stay out of trouble.” I said before slipping deep into the shadows. Kyou laughed at my comment.
