Family. Sister

Lexi:
Max invited me to deliver the files he requested to the Demon Wolf Clan. After word hit the underground Max was “Marked”, I was the last person I would ever imagine him getting a hold of for a request. If Raven found out I helped Max, it would be my ass in a fighting ring. I might look like a computer nerd, but I can hold my own.
After my clan was destroyed, my family murdered, I was on my own to survive.
Thankfully, Astro found me and took me in. I guess he felt bad a six-year-old was living in the woods, hunting, and surviving barely. He taught me everything he knew about computers, then I furthered my knowledge even deeper, becoming the best hacker underground.
“You know this is suicide, right?’ Aki, my wolf huffed.
“I owe Max this request.” I replied. Pulling up to the Demon Wolf boarder. The Guards already knew who I was, doing a quick sweep of my vehicle before allowing me entrance.
“Is it worth the target on your ass if Raven finds out you helped Max?’ Aki grew more annoyed.
“Look I am delivering the files and leaving.” I replied. Shutting the link off.
Max told me to park in the “Blue Zone”, and walk straight to the barn, wait for him. The house was enormous, five-story old Plantation style, but remodeled with stone facing making it look like a castle. The house was lite up with landscaping lights, highlighting the decorative corners and stained glassed windows.
How big is this territory? I thought to myself, parking my Blacked-out Explorer in the “Blue Zone”, grabbing the files off the passenger seat.
The walk was quiet and tranquil, Aki started stirring nervously when we reached the barn, paying him no attention leaning against the wall. Closing my eyes, listening to the cicadas serenade the evening bayou was mesmerizing. I was brought out of my trans with the approaching voices of several people.
I spotted Max with all his tattoos and piercings, walking with a reddish hair guy, his bright hazel eyes glowing in the soft lighting. Following behind them was a female with shoulder length brown hair, well-built talking to another a lady with soft tan skinned, jade eyes and long brown hair. Two guys behind them I knew already as King Desmond and his son, Dominic. Vampires, just my luck.
Wait! Why are they here?
Oh, this is not good at all. The Lady with jade eyes, kept staring at me smiling like she knew me. Max walked up to me nodding, stopping while everyone waited for three more people to approach that were a way behind the main group.
“Lexi glad you could find the place.” Max said sarcastically.
“Yeah, just your luck I had the balls to deliver these personally.” I said smiling slyly.
“Who are we waiting for anyways?” I asked watching the three figures come into view. A tall tan guy with Dark hair walking a few steps in front of the couple. The guy reeked of power, Alpha “Bloodless’ Jack, who could mistake those Blue eyes, dark hair, and powerful aura. Aki stirred when I studied the female holding Alpha’s hand, she was well-built, long ebony hair, grey blue eyes with green fleck.
Hang on, where have I seen her? Think…
“Beta Eli, Alpha Jack, and Luna Mei.” Max said nodding at Alpha walk past us. Max motioned for me to follow. It was a normal barn, until the hidden elevator door opened, and we all climbed in. The jade eyed lady kept looking at me, studying me.
“Great we are dinner.” Aki laughed.
“Not funny dude.” I replied. Shaking the thought from my head.
The door opened, instantly the smell of blood, filled my nose. I gagged, but for this being where they interrogated enemies, it was cleaner than I expected. We all changed into stained coveralls, piquing my curiosity.
“Max, what am I doing here?” I asked in a shouting whisper.
“Handling a traitor.” Max replied smiling evilly. I know that smile to well, it means someone is in a world of hurt. Shit! Please not me.
Entering the room, a pasty-tanned, blonde was strapped to a table in an upright position. She looked like she had been held for a while. The three ladies approached the blonde, stalking her like a damn prey. I watched as the jade eyed lady yanked out her fangs with pliers.
“Fuck! What did we get ourselves into?” Aki asked nervously. The second lady switched places, sounding cold and pissed. Aki stirred, pacing back and forth making me lose focus.
“She seems familiar.” Aki stated pacing studying her slice out implants. HAH. That was hilarious.
“Yeah, I thought the same thing.” I replied hearing skin fester against a silver dagger from the third lady. The blonde was screaming something about her father and plans to overthrow the throne. Two names caught my attention, Victor and Raven.
“Wait! I know where I have seen her. She was Titan’s fighter, Mei.” I shouted silently. I felt eyes staring at me, meeting the eyes of Mei. Something seems familiar about her eyes.
“Family. Sister.” Aki shouted twirling around in my head.
“It can’t be, she died with our parents.” I replied. Thinking about that day Fourteen years ago.
I went to the lake that day to swim and fish. I had fallen asleep under the shaded oak tree, when I woke-up it was late in the day. As I made my way back, the sky had an orange hue casted against the dark starless sky. Heavy smoke, burning flesh filled the air as I approached the clan village. Everything was on fire, screams, growls, crying filled the night sky.
I heard men shouting to round up the children and take them back to the facility. I hid myself in a large oak, watching them load up the bodies of children into a large armored truck. One of the guys scanned the tree line, then climbed into the truck taking off.
I found the remains of my house, after waiting sometime for the guys to clear out the clan territory. My father was crushed under a burning beam, while my mother’s lifeless body laid in the front yard. Her throat had been slit and was severely burned. I ran when I heard shouting approaching, not looking back I ran until I came across a cave in the woods. I stayed there until Astro found me.
I was brought out of my thoughts, when Alpha Jack and King Desmond, declared the blonde’s punishment of dismemberment and burning.
“I, Soon-to-be Luna Mei, deem death of choice, dismemberment and burning. All in favor, say “I”.” Mei stated coldly. I knew I was in no place to argue this punishment.
“I”. I sounded with everyone.
Alpha Jack smiled, side glancing me after I made the agreement. I watched as they dismembered and burned her body. Max walked over nodding to follow them out, changing quickly after washing off the smell of this place. Max led me to the fifth floor, the Alpha’s office where we waited for the rest of them to arrive.
