You Bring Out The Best In Me
"Move in with me," Jason suddenly said, his voice soft and pleading. I was shocked, taken aback by his sudden request. I didn't want him to move out of the beach house, but moving in with him at his penthouse sounded crazy. I was tempted, but I knew the risks involved. What would I tell Sebastian? What about our parents?
I took a deep breath and looked into his eyes, searching for answers. I knew that I couldn't convince him to stay, but I also couldn't bear the thought of losing him. "I would love to move in with you," I said, my voice barely a whisper. "But it's too risky. That's when our parents will find out what we have been doing, and I'm not ready to lose you."
Jason was silent for a moment, digesting my words. Then, he spoke, his voice filled with determination. "Okay, I get you. But maybe we can tell them about us. I mean, what if they understand? We're not blood related after all."
I was taken aback by his suggestion. It was the second time that Jason had brought up the idea of coming out to our parents, but I still thought it was a bad idea. What if they didn't understand? What if they were disgusted by our love? But I couldn't deny the fact that Jason's willingness to take a risk and fight for our relationship made me love him even more.
Sebastian had never asked if we could tell our parents. He was content with keeping our relationship a secret, but Jason wanted more. He wanted us to be free, to be together without hiding in the shadows. It was a risky proposition, but I couldn't deny the fact that it appealed to me.
I kissed Jason on the cheek and took my phone from the nightstand and called my mom. “What time are you coming home?” she asked as soon as the call connected.
“I needed to get some air, so I’m going out with my friends tonight. I will come home tomorrow, mom,” I said.
“Next time you should tell us in time when you want to go out. Don’t wait until it’s nighttime. You are acting like Jason who goes out without telling anyone and comes back whenever he wants to,” my mom responded.
I looked at Jason who was rolling his eyes, and I tried so hard to contain my laughter.
“Sure, mom. It won’t happen again. I love you, goodnight,” I said.
“Goodnight, darling. Behave yourself when you are out,” my mom said before dropping the call.
I turned to face Jason, who was looking at me with a mischievous smile. “Looks like we have some time to kill before we go out,” he said, pulling me closer to him.
“Who said we are going out?” I asked rolling my eyes at him. The Truth was that I never planned to go out clubbing, I just wanted to spend more time with him.
With a serious face, he looked at me and said, “Are you rolling your eyes at me?” I couldn’t help but let out a giggle at his stern expression. He inched closer to me, his eyes filled with mischief as he extended his hand towards me.
Before I could even react, he started tickling me. I squirmed and laughed, trying to push him away but he was relentless. His touch sent a surge of electricity through my body, making me feel alive.
As I tried to catch my breath between fits of laughter, I couldn’t help but notice the way his eyes sparkled with amusement. His smile was so infectious that I couldn’t help but smile back at him.
“You know, you’re really good at this,” I managed to say between giggles.
He grinned at me, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “I have my ways,” he replied, continuing to tickle me mercilessly.
I couldn’t deny the fact that I was thoroughly enjoying our playful banter. There was something about the way he looked at me, the way he made me feel, that made my heart flutter with excitement.
As the tickle fight continued, I found myself getting lost in his eyes. There was a depth to them that I hadn’t noticed before, a vulnerability that made me want to reach out and touch his soul.
Eventually, the laughter subsided and we both collapsed onto the bed, breathless and exhausted. I turned to look at him, a smile playing on my lips.
“You know, for someone with such a serious face, you have a pretty wicked sense of humor,” I teased.
He chuckled, his eyes softening as he gazed at me. “I guess you bring out the best in me,” he confessed.
There was a moment of silence between us, the air thick with unspoken words and emotions. I could feel the tension building, a palpable energy that crackled between us.
And then, without warning, he leaned in and pressed his lips against mine. It was a gentle, tender kiss that spoke volumes without a single word being said. I melted into his embrace.
The moment was perfect, and I felt like time stood still as we shared this intimate moment together.
But before things could get any hotter, he pulled away from the kiss, his breathing heavy and his heart pounding. "Let's go take a shower before I lose control," he said, his voice husky with desire. "You said you wanted to go out, right? Let's go clubbing then."
I looked at him, my eyes filled with a mix of desire and anticipation. And I nodded, my lips curved into a sultry smile. "Okay," I whispered, my voice barely audible over my pounding heart beat. "Let's go."
