Cleaning The Beach House
After our coffee with Nathan, he paid the bill and we went our separate ways. We agreed to meet at the beach house later and spend some time together, cleaning the house since we had to move back in soon.
When I walked in, Jason was already awake. He looked up from his laptop and immediately pulled me into a tight hug. “Hey, babe, how did it go with Nate?” he asked, concern evident in his eyes.
I sighed and leaned into him, finding comfort in his embrace. “It was okay, we’re meeting later to clean the beach house,” I replied, avoiding his gaze.
Jason studied me for a moment, his brow furrowed with suspicion. But he simply nodded and said, “Okay, sounds good. Let me know if you need any help.”
The whole day Jason and I spent just lazing around the penthouse, watching movies and just enjoying each other's company. Today was going to be a lazy day, just chilling and relaxing before it was time for me to meet Nathan at the beach house
Jason and I spent the whole morning lounging around, sipping on coffee and watching movies on his laptop. The love between us was evident, even when we weren’t engaging in physical intimacy. I loved the way he looked at me, with such adoration and warmth in his eyes. It was a love that ran deep. I felt happy and safe around him.
As the time drew near for me to meet Nathan, Jason offered to drive me there so that we could all clean the beach house together. I didn’t see any problem with that, after all, we all lived there anyway. So we packed up some cleaning supplies and headed out to meet Nathan.
Once we arrived at the house, we were greeted by Nathan with a warm smile. He pulled me into a tight hug, kissing me gently on the forehead. The three of us got to work cleaning the house, scrubbing floors and dusting shelves. We joked and laughed like true siblings.
As we cleaned, we talked about everything under the sun. We didn’t bring up our forbidden love, but we did discuss the idea of sitting down with Sebastian and laying out a plan for me to date both Jason and Nathan. It was a complicated situation, but we were all willing to make it work.
After we finished cleaning, we sat out on the porch, watching the waves crash against the shore. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over everything. Nathan wrapped his arm around my shoulders, pulling me close to him. Jason sat on my other side, intertwining his fingers with mine. In that moment, I felt completely and utterly loved.
I was just glad that Jason was not being bossy. As the stars began to twinkle in the sky, we made our way back home , I still needed to go back home before my mother became suspicious.
The air was chilly as we pulled up to our house, the streetlights casting a warm glow over the quiet neighborhood. Jason let out a deep sigh as he glanced at the familiar building in front of us.
“I think I’m gonna head back to the penthouse,” he said quietly, breaking the silence.
I turned to look at him, a pang of disappointment and worry creeping into my chest. Jason and I had been spending a lot of time together lately, and the thought of him not coming inside with me sparked a sense of unease within me.
“Are you sure?” I asked, trying to keep my voice neutral. “I mean, it’s late.
Jason shook his head with a small smile. “Nah, it’s cool. I’ve got some things to do anyway. And besides, I don’t want us to look suspicious coming home together.”
I nodded reluctantly, pushing down the disappointment that threatened to bubble up inside me. “Okay, well, drive safe then. Let me know when you’re back at the penthouse, alright?”
Jason reached out and squeezed my hand. “I will. Thanks, for understanding.”
As he pulled away, I watched his car disappear into the darkness, my heart heavy with a mix of emotions. Part of me was relieved that we wouldn’t have to deal with any speculations, but another part of me longed for his presence, his comforting presence that always seemed to light up the darkest of moments.
I shook my head, trying to push away the thoughts that threatened to overwhelm me. I had Nathan waiting beside me and I couldn’t let my feelings for Jason cloud my judgment.
I pushed open the front door and stepped inside, the warmth of the house enveloping me like a warm hug.
As soon as Nathan and I walked in, the smell of my favorite meal wafted through my nose, instantly making me feel at home. My mom was waiting for us with a smile that reached her eyes, her happiness evident as she hugged me tightly.
“It’s so good to see you, sweetheart. I feel like it’s been forever,” she said, her voice filled with warmth.
“How was your night out?” she asked, a playful glint in her eyes.
I couldn’t help but smile at her enthusiasm. “It was great, mom. Sorry for telling you last minute that I wouldn’t be coming home to sleep,” I replied, feeling a pang of guilt for leaving my mom in the dark about my plans.
Mom just waved off my apology, her focus already shifting to the dinner she had prepared. She led us to the dining room, where my dad and Sebastian, were already seated. Nathan and I took our seats, the aroma of the food making my stomach growl in anticipation.
As we dug into the meal, my mind kept drifting back to Jason. He was the one missing ingredient at the family table, the one person I wished could be here with us.
The thought of him not being by my side on this particular night made my heart ache with longing. I missed his presence, his touch, his voice whispering sweet nothings in my ear. It was a feeling that was both intoxicating and frightening at the same time.
I couldn't believe how much I loved Jason, even more than Sebastian and Nathan, and I felt so guilty.
I stole a glance at Nathan, who was engrossed in a conversation with Sebastian, oblivious to the turmoil raging inside me, especially after his confession.
