The Talk Between Nathan and I
The next morning, I woke up feeling more at peace than I had in some time. Jason was still asleep beside me, his face serene in slumber. I gently extricated myself from his embrace and got ready to face the day. Switching on my phone, I texted Nathan the address of a nearby café where we could meet.
Minutes later, his reply came through, saying he would see me there. I smiled to myself, heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nervousness.
I took a long shower, letting the warm water cascade over my skin, washing away any lingering doubts and insecurities. I wanted to look my best for him, to show him how much he meant to me.
I knew that our conversation would be difficult, that we would have to lay our feelings bare and confront the hurt that had clearly been festering between us.
But I was determined to make things right, to fix the broken pieces of our relationship and move forward together. And as I looked at Jason, still asleep in bed, I knew that no matter what happened, I had his love and support to guide me through the storm.
After getting dressed in a simple yet stylish outfit, well I had to make do with Jason's shirt, but it looked good on me. I tiptoed into the bedroom to kiss Jason on the forehead. He looked so peaceful and content sleeping soundly, and I didn’t want to disturb him. I whispered a silent apology for leaving without waking him, promising to make it up to him later.
As I left the penthouse that morning, I felt a sense of hope blooming in my chest. With Jason by my side and Nathan waiting for me, I knew that no matter what the future held, I would face it with courage and honesty. Love, after all, was a journey filled with twists and turns, but as long as I had my heart open, I knew I would find my way home in the end.
I made my way to the coffee shop, feeling a rush of excitement and anticipation building in my chest. I arrived earlier than Nathan and ordered my usual morning coffee, taking a seat by the window to watch the world go by. The warm aroma of coffee filled the air, comforting me as I waited for him to arrive.
When Nathan finally walked in, a bright smile on his face, I could see the hint of hurt in his eyes. He sat down beside me, his gaze searching mine as he said, “Hey gorgeous.” I returned his smile and replied, “Hey you.”
As he ordered his coffee, he started talking about how much he loved me and how he couldn’t keep his feelings hidden any longer. I listened intently, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I couldn’t deny the spark between us, Nathan and I have always had a connection between us.
But then a wave of guilt washed over me as I thought about Sebastian, he was so sweet and didn't deserve to be lied to. Nathan and I had a history together, a deep bond that had never fully faded away. I couldn’t deny the conflicting emotions that tugged at my heart.
“Why didn’t you say anything when I started dating Sebastian?” I blurted out, the question hanging heavy in the air between us. “Now I’m in love with two men, and you’ve been quiet. It was just me and you in the beginning.”
Nathan sighed, his expression pained as he reached out to take my hand. “I didn’t want to complicate your life,” he confessed. “But now I can’t hide my feelings anymore and with Jason now in the picture, I figured there was no harm in telling you how I feel.”
I felt a surge of emotions welling up inside me, unsure of how to navigate this unexpected turn of events. But then a bold idea popped into my head, a crazy notion that seemed to offer a solution.
“How about the four of us sit down and talk?” I suggested, feeling a rush of nervous excitement at the prospect. “I can date the three of you without hiding anything.”
Nathan’s eyes widened in surprise, a glimmer of hope flickering in his gaze. “I would be very happy with that,” he admitted, a smile tugging at his lips.
As we continued to talk, I knew that I would have to come clean to Sebastian about my feelings for both Nathan and Jason. It wouldn’t be easy, but I couldn’t keep living a lie. I needed to be honest with all three of them, to let them know the truth of my heart.
“Does Sebastian know about you and Jason?” Nathan asked, concern etched in his voice.
I hesitated, feeling a pang of guilt as I shook my head. “No, he doesn’t,” I admitted quietly. “But I think it’s time he knows the truth.”
Nathan nodded in understanding, his hand tightening around mine in a silent show of support. I knew that the road ahead would be fraught with challenges and uncertainties, but I also knew that I was surrounded by love and understanding.
As we finished our coffee and made plans to meet up later that evening, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the complex web of relationships that had woven itself around me. I was ready to embrace the journey ahead, knowing that as long as love guided my path, everything would work out in the end..
