#Chapter 58: You are my Luna and my Queen
Olivia’s POV
“My love, is it true?” Gabriel asked. I sighed at the sadness in his voice. I knew I would not be able to keep the charade up for long. Now that Alicia was found out nad dead, there was no reason to.
For the first time since my death, I unlocked the mindlink between Gabriel and I. I showed him everything.
“Yes Alpha King, it is true. Everything that I open to you is the truth. The former queen luna perished at the same time I did. She had given up on everything while I still fought. The Moon Goddess granted me a second chance nad she put my soul and wolf in this body. I am sorry that I deceive you for so long.” I bowed in front of the wolf, hoping that he would show me that same mercy that he showed Conan. A quick and painless death.
He slowly walked over to me and grabbed my chin, lifting my gaze to his face.
“Do not bow to me, love.” Gabriel stated.
“Why? I deceived you for so long.” I cried.
“No matter who you are, I have fallen in love with the woman that you have become. You are my Luna and my Queen.”
Gabriel pulled me into his arms as I began to cry. He kissed my lips quickly before bringing his lips to my ears.
“I love you.” He declared. I wept at the proclamation of love that my body had been wanting for so long.
I melted into his arms and into his touch. As we kissed, I could feel my wolves rejoicing at this notion. It was not lust or a need between us, as it had been before. This was a desire that burned from being away from one another.
We broke from the kiss and made our way back to the banquet. I was happy to see that everyone was celebrating the recovery of both Mara and Reese. In the succession of their care, Gabriel made a donation of his own to a new wing for treatment for wolves that could not afford the care.
Many wolves and their lunas congratulated me and my mate on the success of the charity. After the charity banquet, Gabriel asked me to stay in the palace for the remainder of the night.
“I would feel better if you stayed with me tonight, given the recent attack on you.”
I was reluctant at first, but thinking about the kiss on the balcony and his declaration of love to me, I did not want to leave his side.
“If it makes you feel better, I will make sure there is a detail on Celine and your apartment. I will even beef up security at the hospital for Reese and Mara.”
I kissed my mate on the cheek, happy that he was not only thinking of me, but my friend and loved ones as well. His love was what I craved, and I finally found a mate that would move everything to worship me like I deserved.
It had been in my head for the longest since the Moon Goddess had given me a second chance.
Do not give into another man, ever again.
The only things that matter was getting my affairs from my previous life in order. I wanted to make sure that my brother Reese would be back in my care. My mission was also to make sure that Alicia paid for her crimes against other wolves, not just me.
I had accomplished those missions and so much more. So why not allow myself to be loved again? As I stepped foot inside the bedroom that Gabriel and I once shared, I noticed everything was still the same. From the linen to the pillow that I laid my head against. All of it was still the same.
As Gabriel walked out of the clothes in his night attire, I lifted my body from the bed and sat on my knees. I greeted him with a kissed as he brushed my hair out of my face. I could not deny the bond between us was getting stronger since my confession.
I tugged at his lips with my teeth and wrapping my arms around his neck, lowering us to the bed. When he hovered over me, my breath hitched as I inhaled. He ran his tongue over my mating mark. Then suddenly, like a cruel joke, Gabriel sat up.
I was panting and leaning into his body, craving more. I licked my lips, wanting for the next thing to happen. However, it never came, and neither did I. As I glared up at the man teasing me, all I could see was his smile.
“I am sorry, my dear, but I do not think that we need that right now,” Gabriel said as he rested his forehead against mine. He moved himself from on top of me and went to his side of the bed.
“Why is that?” I exhaled in frustration. He brushed his hand over my maker and then to my lips. I moaned and hissed in pleasure.
“We need each other’s company after all the tugging and pushing that we have been doing to one another. Don’t you agree?”
I nodded as he laid a kiss on my cheek. I exhaled against as I turned away from my mate. Even with my back to him, he pulled me into his touch. He nuzzled face into neck and put his arm around my waist.
As I fell into a deep slumber, all I could do was smile at the touch and admiration that I had been craving for so long.
The morning after, I woke up in Gabriel’s arms. I did not want to leave. As he began to stir I rolled over so I would be able to face him.
“Good morning, Olivia,” the King Alpha murmured as he awoke.
I stayed silent in his arms. “Is that alright to call you by your actual name?”
I nodded at his request. I could not see any reason not to allow him the courtesy.
“Can I ask a favor, my king?” I muttered. I felt him pull me in closer.
“Anything, my love,” Gabriel said.
“Could you call me by my real name in private? I don’t want to many people to know my secret.”
Our lips met as we sealed the deal. Gabriel loosen his grip on me as he rose from the bed.
“Get dressed quickly, my love. WE need to be heading out in a few hours.” Gabriel said as he went to the bathroom. I knew he was about to shower, but I still had the desire to follow him.
I quickly snapped out of it knowing that this sort of admiration is why Gabriel and Rebecca’s relationship was so strained. I quickly gathered my things and went to my old bedroom. I used it for the shower, not wanting to be too close to my mate.
I quickly dressed after toweling off into a one piece black pantsuit that had a v-shape in the front. I put on a long sleeve white blouse to cover at least half of the skin that was showing. I slipped on my black Jimmi Chos to see Gabriel standing in the doorway, staring at my process.
