Are you human?
After that episode.
"Are you human?" I asked.
Anne was taken aback and asked, "What?"
"Would you be happy if your husband passed away?" I asked.
"Paul," Mom explained.
"Or are you merely interested in his money?" I asked again.
"Honey, it's because of you that I'm doing this," Anne explained.
"My father did an excellent job divorcing you," I said tiredly. "And you know what, instead of hitting him, I should have hit you," I added.
"Paul," Anne tearfully called his name.
"Where is my Elena?" I asked, ignoring her. "Did she leave home?"
Elena Elena... always this scumbag's name. So, what did she actually do to you? Anne was about to add, "Elena is," but the maid arrived out of nowhere.
"Lady, there's a person who would want to meet you. They claimed to be looking for little Madam ", stated the maid.
"OK.. I'm coming," Anne responded.
"Paul, take a rest," Mom said as she walked away. Before leaving, Anne gestured to the maid to give Paul sleeping pills. That girl mixed the medicine with Paul's juice. After sipping the juice, I lay down on the bed, recalling old memories with Elena.
In a flashback,
Paul and Elena were making a sand castle.
Little Paul said, "Elena." "Look, it's our house."
"This isn't a real house; it's a dollhouse," Elena said. "We won't be able to enter this house."
"I'm going to build a house like this when I grow up, stupid girl," Paul said, as he placed his palm on Elena's cheek. "After that, we'll live there."
"Really, that'll be our house, huh Paul?" Elena said, her eyes twinkling.
Paul nodded and smiled.
Before an hour,
I was at the airport, waiting for Lucy.
She had the nerve to walk away without saying anything to me. And she didn't pick up the phone when I called.
"Derek," Lucy said, as she appeared out of nowhere.
I gave her a grimace. She looked at me with an odd smile on her face. "Exactly why are you here?" Are you here to pick me up? "Am I dreaming?"
"Idiot, keep your mouth shut! You don't have the right to ignore my phone calls, "I said.
"Relax, buddy, I was busy," Lucy said, showing her attitude.
"Now, take me back to my house. I'm exhausted as well, "she declared.
I smirked and said, "Oh, you're so exhausted right now?" "Madam, Why don't you let me give you a massage? "
I smiled creepily and reached out to grab her neck with my hand. Lucy was terrified when she saw me like this and screamed, "Wha-What do you want from me?"
"Take me to her place," I said.
"What? But I've just arrived." Lucy cast a pitying gaze at me.
After one hour,
Lucy and Derek were looking forward to seeing Anne.
"Why don't you wait for an hour, Derek?" "We can come here once I've taken a clean shower," Lucy grumbled angrily.
"No, I can't," I responded emphatically. "What are you going to do if she rejects you?" Lucy asked sarcastically.
This girl is an absolute jerk. Why is she turning me down? Am I not good looking? "Stop blabbering, Lucy. All I want to do now is see her, "I explained.
"Hmmp bullshit," Lucy said. "Mind your language," I was about to say, when a woman approached and said, "Yes, tell me how I may help you."
"We want to meet Elena," Lucy stated."
"Oh, she's not at home," she said.
"By the way, who are you guys? I've never seen you, "she added. "
"Oh, we're her friends. And what about you? ", Lucy said, smiling.
"I'm her mother," she said.
"But, I heard her mother died when she was ten," Lucy said hesitantly, smiling and looking at me.
"My name is Anne D'Souza, and I'm her stepmother," she clarified.
"What? Elena never told me her name is D'Souza. " Lucy was taken aback and expressed her amazement.
"So, you're Anne D'Souza?" I asked after hearing her name.
She said, "Yes, and you?"
What the hell is going on? I put my hand over my mouth. It means I tied the knot with her. Mr. Robert's daughter is Elena. A smile arises on my face.
"My name is Derek, and I work for a modest company," I added, smiling. My heart was on the verge of bursting.
It's hard for me to believe she's my wife.
I see. It isn't a new thing. Anne sarcastically stated, "Elena has a habit of making friends like this."
Lucy's point of view.
What the hell is going on with this guy? He is working for a modest firm!
I have no idea what he's talking about. Lucy gave Derek a strange look.
"Thank you, Mrs. D'Souza; we need to leave now," I replied as I left the home holding Lucy's hand. I can't wait to meet my new wife.
My fate has given me a second chance, and I don't want to waste it.
The opposite point of view.
"Really?" Elena replied.
"Yes, then I will marry you and we will stay together," Paul said with a smile.
Elena widened her eyes and asked, "Why do you want to get married?"
"Because you're not like my mother, but rather like Diana's aunt," Paul said. "We will stay together like Uncle Robert and Aunt Diana," Paul replied, touching Elena's cheek. Elena smiled and nodded.
Paul abruptly took out two pairs of palm-leaf rings from his pocket.
"See, I made this for you, Elena," Paul said as he showed the ring to Elena.
Elena's eyes gleam as she says, "Wow, it's beautiful, Paul."
"Now give me your hand," Paul said. Elena extended her hand, and Paul put the ring on her finger. From now on, Elena, you are my little wife, "Paul exclaimed gleefully. Elena smiled as she placed another ring on Paul's finger.
Elena lamented, "But what if Anne's aunt becomes enraged?"
"Don't worry," Paul assured her, "I'll protect you." "Yeaah, I love you, brother Paul," Elena joyfully hugged Paul.
The flashback comes to an end.
"Elena ", suddenly Paul opened his eyes.
