Mid-night

I looked down after hearing his name. Paul, I'm sure it's you. How did you arrange all of this if you aren't Paul? You may change your name, but you can't change your passion, which is me. You can't fool my eyes. I tried to stand up, but Derek grabbed my hand. "Meet my wife, Elena, " Derek said as he introduced me to him. Ethan gave me a kind smile and said, "Hello, Mrs. Elena. I hope you're doing well now.".. I merely nodded, without looking at him. Pavlina abruptly stated, "my mo-ma cry." Suddenly, Ethan knelt down and placed his hand on Pavlina's face, saying, "I apologize if I offended your mother, baby. I'm not going to do that again."
Pavlina said, "S-ay sorry to her." I could feel that guy's stare on me when he glanced at me. He called me "Mrs. Elena." My heart raced as I heard my name from his voice. "I apologize, Mrs. Elena," he replied. I couldn't keep my gaze away from him. "Baby," Derek said as he stroked my hand. I clutched my dress with both hands. "Actually, we lost a special one who resembled you," Derek explained. "I apologize for your loss, ma'am." "However, I am not Paul," Ethan added.
I'm not going to trust you, you liar. Paul, you're my Paul. You're doing this to punish me, right?
I inhaled deeply and gazed at Ethan. His eyes were twinkling like stars. "Certainly, Mr. Derek loves Ma'am," Ethan said. "Yeah, but now she has a competitor," Derek said. "That's my daughter," he added. "However, your daughter has her mother's beauty," Ethan commented. I'm not sure why his comments were cutting me off. "Yes, she is," Derek said. Derek kissed Pavilna on the cheek. I couldn't take this hide and seek any longer, so I stood up and said, "Derek, I'm going to my room." "Is there anything wrong with Elena?" Derek asked. "I'm OK, just a little sleepy," I said as I made my way upstairs. I walked out of there as quickly as I could. After a time, I turned my gaze to them. They were conversing as usual. If Paul hated Derek so much, why didn't he react? Or else, Derek is right that it is not Paul.
But I can't possibly be mistaken. His tone and glance were similar to Paul's. I walked into my room and plopped down on the couch. I put my hand on my temple and tapped my brow. I'm sure it's you. You're deliberately causing me pain. Oh, God! Elena got to her feet and began roaming around the room. I laid down on the bed to relax. I can't seem to get him out of my mind.
I heard someone open the door after a while. It's Derek. When I saw him, I asked, "Derek, what did you find?" Derek, on the other hand, put his finger on his lower lip, as if to signal that he wanted to stop talking. Then my sight stopped behind him. Pavlina was leaning against Ethan's forearm. She was dozing off there. "Sorry, she dozed off," Ethan said. "Thank you for your hospitality," Derek remarked as he grabbed Pavlina's arm. "Mr. Derek, it is my pleasure. I'm hoping you'll stay here for a few days, "Ethan stated.
"Yes, we planned it as well, right babe?" Derek said. I gave Ethan a blank stare. "All right, then, have a sweet dream," he remarked with a smile. " Mr. Derek, and Mrs. Elena," he said as he switched his focus to me. My gaze was fixed on him. "Good night," he said, smiling. I couldn't even say anything to him. Something appeared to be locked in my throat. "Elena," Derek said. I looked at Derek and nodded, "same to you, Mr. Ethan." Ethan gave me a kind smile. Derek shut the door, but I noticed that Ethan's gaze was still fixed on me. After slamming the door shut, Derek placed Palvina down on the bed. "What was it, Derek?" I asked.
"About what, Elena?" he said as he changed. "Ethan," I said. "Elena, he isn't Paul," Derek stated emphatically. "How can you be so certain, Derek?" I questioned. Derek forced me to take a seat on the couch and stated. "When I went to kiss you, why didn't he react? Would he spare me, Elena, if he was Paul? "I lowered my head. Derek is right in certain ways. But why does my heart refuse to accept it? Why does my heart tell me he's Paul? How could I possibly be wrong? Paul's scent, his appearance, everything is posted in my thoughts. "You still can't accept it?" Derek asked. Derek rose to his feet and took an envelope from the bundle. He said, "Take this." I took a look at it and chose to open it. It was Ethan's information. I carefully read it. However, my hand was trembling. He isn't Paul, yet why can't I accept him? If he isn't, then why did I feel attracted to him and his looks when he called my name?
Oh God!
I rubbed my temples. "Elena, don't overthink things. Tomorrow, we'll meet with the doctor, "Derek said.
I gave a nod. He said, "Did you take your medicine?" I let out a tired sigh and murmured, "I just want to sleep." Derek drew me close to his chest and whispered, "Elena, everything will be alright. Just relax, " I softly closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep. But, when I awoke, I was in Derek's arms. Pavlina was on the opposite side of me, and she was sleeping. I stood up and walked over to the balcony. In the moonlight, everything was gleaming. I took a look around the garden. My first kiss was still fresh in my mind.
In the jasmine garden, Paul kissed me first. He stated that he would bring my mother to me. I sighed as I stared up at the sky. But where are you now? You went to my mother before I could. My eyes welled up with tears.
I'd like some fresh air. It's choking me to death. As a result, I exited the room. I went for a walk outside. It's a bit cold and breezy outside. In the breeze, my hair sways. I came to a halt and gazed out over the sea. Because this place is a little higher, I was able to take in the view. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply.
The silence was broken abruptly by a sound. Someone called my name, "Elena," hearing my name, I instantly turned back. I wasn't surprised to hear my name; rather, I was surprised by the tone. Our gazes locked. My heart began to beat rapidly. He was wearing a white shirt, swaying his hair, and smiling at me. It's Paul, my Paul. "Paul," I said, smiling and reaching out to touch him. "Is that you?" I asked, my eyes moist.
"Paul, I knew you were alive," I said as I touched his face.
"Mrs. Elena," he abruptly said. I grimaced instead of smiling. I quickly moved my hand and took a small step back. I shut my eyes. "Are you all OK, Mrs. Elena? Do you have any hesitations about being around me? " "What's the matter with you?' he asked.
"Mrs., say something," Ethan said. "Didn't you call me Elena just now?" I asked as I moved away from him. "No, Mrs. You must have misread me, "Ethan replied. Enough is enough. I turned my gaze to him. "I know you're Paul!" I shouted. He didn't say anything, just stared at me. The sound of raging waves could be heard. We were both staring at each other. I couldn't move my gaze, and he couldn't move his. I grabbed his collar and burst into tears and said, "Say you are my Paul, Ethan, I know you're Paul. " "Mrs." said Ethan. But I didn't listen to him because I knew he was lying. I stated, "Why are you torturing me, Paul? Do you know how much I suffer because of you?"
Tears welled up in my eyes as I glanced at him. His gaze was fixed on mine. "Why?" I asked, sobbing, as I rested my head on his chest. A few moments later, he called me again, "Mrs. Elena."
