25. Short Kiss

“There’s nothing crazier than humans being wiped out, right?” replied Boby who was still attacking Victoria.

“But how could I do that?” asked Victoria doubtfully.

The two were still facing each other, their weapons pointed at each other.

“You can. After all, whether you kill me or not, I still won’t be able to get out of here,” said Boby.

This time Victoria’s brow furrowed.

“What do you mean?” asked the girl.

“You don’t know?” Boby stared at Victoria.

There was no answer from the girl.

“Once you enter, you won’t be able to get out of here,” said Boby.

The man’s words stopped Victoria’s movements. The girl stared at Boby for a long time, stunned. Was that her sacrifice that happened? Whatever it was, it was the same. If Victoria could stop the strange creatures from attacking and causing more victims, or not preventing them it would be the same.

“I know you want to save a lot of people. “But in the end, it’s the same, you’ll die because you won’t be able to get out of this place,” repeated Boby. "I thought you already knew the risks. But seeing your reaction like that, it seems like you don't know, huh?"

Is what Boby said true?

From the communication device connection, no voice denied it. If it wasn't true, Robert or Luna would have said something, but they didn't. They were silent as if they were confirming what Boby said.

Elsewhere, Sean who heard the conversation through the communication device was silent, as were Daniel, Maria, and even Nathan. What did all that mean? If you want to save many people, you have to sacrifice someone, right? That's how it is, and could that be what Victoria has to do?

The device could make people short of breath, and painful like a deadly insect bite. However, hearing what Victoria decided, Sean could not stop it.

"They're coming again. We don't have time to linger here," said Daniel informing.

The small device that Ben controlled on Sean's neck did not react, giving Sean a little leeway so that the man could move even though his breath was short because of the pain that was attacking him.

"Let's do it, we have to survive," said Sean inviting Daniel to be alert again.

"Okay. I don't care if I live or die, at least I've done my job well, even if I can't taste the sweetness of love, I won't regret it now," Daniel said and started to prepare to attack again.

Sean pulled the corner of his lips hearing what Daniel said.

"Haven't you ever dated? Didn't you just break up?" Nathan teased from across their communication channel.

Daniel clicked his tongue, not caring.

"Then, I won't regret it either," Nathan said who also started to prepare. However, the man looked at Maria who was frozen in place, holding back laughter because of the conversation between his two friends. "Maria," Nathan said the girl's name.

Maria turned her head before the girl realized what Nathan was doing, the man had already attacked her first by kissing Maria's lips for a few moments. A short kiss.

"Will you be my lover?" Nathan asked in a serious tone.

But Maria did not answer, nor did she deny. However, the answer the girl gave was a kiss in return which meant Maria accepted Nathan as her lover.

Even in war, love always grows. Love does not always recognize age, even place, and love can be a strength. Maria and Nathan began to prepare to attack the strange creatures again. Their numbers were very large and large.

Not only Victoria, but Boby who fell after her was also equally exhausted.

"I, have pressed it," said Victoria reporting to Luna.

"Good job. I'll take care of it," replied Luna.

Victoria nodded, her breath still short.

"You have to do it now," said Boby who was starting to get tired, and so did Victoria. "You're quite good at attacking. But you have to train and defend more," continued Boby.

"My opponent is not just anyone, how can I not be tired?" replied Victoria.

Boby smiled faintly.

"Good job, Victoria Della. Nice to be able to fight, and meet you even like this," said Boby.

Victoria nodded.

However, that was a farewell from Boby who was lying in front of Victoria. The man looked like he was having a hard time.

"Senior!" shouted Victoria approaching Boby.

"My job is done, Vic. Convey my apologies to the others. May you all win," said Boby.

"No. Wait. Hang in there."

However, it was too late. Boby was unconscious, and his breathing stopped.

Victoria screamed hysterically when she saw it. What happened to Boby?
