25- Trust on your energy
No David, please go....
-You should be grateful for what I'm offering you! -Thank me! I really don't understand... all
your problems would be solved...
-No..." Helena exclaimed in a whisper, no longer seeing her lifelong friend in front of her.
David's face had distorted, blurred and turned into a dark silhouette that loomed dangerously
over her.
Flashes of the night of the bachelorette party came to her disturbed mind, affecting reality,
she felt again those cold calloused hands gripping her wrists tightly, the hot cruel breath
against her neck and the dead weight crushing her against the mattress, which in this case
she was feeling against the wall, as if imprisoning her there again against her will.
No please!" she begged loudly, because this time she could actually scream, not like that
night, when her voice had left her body, leaving her in the hands of that beast.
David noticed the abrupt change in her friend, who was now trembling all over against the
wall, with her small and fragile hands in front of her body protecting herself, her face was
contorted in an expression of terror as if she were a little animal about to be eaten by its
prey.
-Helena, calm down, I'm sorry, I... I don't know what happened to me," exclaimed the young
man nervously backing up a few steps, realizing that he had again lost his temper in the
situation.
-No!" shouted Helena again when David tried to grab her by the shoulders with no bad
intentions, but to try to calm her down.
But the redhead didn't seem to be there, her eyes stared at him like two big spheres that
contained inside a whole chaotic universe, but they were crystalline, as if lifeless and far
away from there.
-Don't hurt me," he begged.
-You touch it and you're dead.
David turned towards the voice that growled at his back, meeting a man who surpassed him
in height and physique, and who stared at him with narrowed black eyes with tints of red that
were on fire, staring into his face with that intense gaze. At a glance the young man knew he
was a man of money and therefore very powerful, Helena did not rub shoulders with people
like that, she concluded that he was her friend's boss, the one she had complained so much
about.
-Get away from her or you'll regret it," she warned with clenched fists and releasing her
heavy breathing from her nostrils. The CEO half-opened his thin lips, revealing his clenched
teeth that tensed his jaw, he was becoming quite the alpha, ready to defend one of his own
from the enemy threat.
David looked at Helena, who still seemed to be in a trance, covering herself with her arms
and trembling with fear. He didn't want to hurt her, so, even though he hated obeying the
man, he stepped away from her and walked past Sebastian giving him an intense stare and
bumping his shoulder hard, though the CEO didn't even flinch.
-You don't deserve Helena," David said before leaving the apartment.
Once Sebastian heard the door close, he ran towards Helena, erasing his intimidating
expression and transforming it into one of concern.
Helena," he said kneeling down in front of the redhead who had slid to the floor making a
bun with her legs in front of her body, closing them tightly with her arms as if they were a
chain, "Calm down Hele, he's gone, you're not in danger anymore.
Helena did not seem to listen, she had hidden her face in her knees and had gone to her
inner world where evil did not exist.
-Helen, please look at me.
After a while Helena slowly raised her reddened face and a glow illuminated her eyes as she
recognized Sebastian and not that dark evil figure.
-Mr. Aller... What are you doing here? - He looked all around -And David?
-He's gone... don't worry about him.
-Did you see everything?" she asked embarrassed.
Sebastian swallowed nervously, he couldn't tell the young woman that he had heard every
word that had come out of that asshole's mouth, he knew what pride was and there were
things that were better left unsaid.
-No Helena, I just know that I came at the right time.
Helena looked down and nodded in agreement.
-But... What are you doing here?
-I needed some urgent tasks, and since I couldn't contact you, I thought I'd look for you
here," she lied.
-Oh..." said the redhead in a whisper, wiped her tears with her sleeve and coughed
uncomfortably, "It's okay, give me the papers, I'll bring them to you tomorrow. And I'm sorry
for not warning you, something came up with my little brother and I had to run away- she
sobbed remembering the boy's state of health- Then I found out that they stole all my
savings and I went to the police station, where they did nothing for me....
At that moment Sebastian felt like the worst shit in the world. He had been upset with Helena
for not warning him of her absence, not thinking that something serious was happening to
him, plus he himself had made his day even more horrible by having taken her money on a
pure whim. He looked away, not feeling worthy of the woman's forgiveness.
-It's okay, don't worry, we'll see you tomorrow, I don't know what I was thinking coming to
your house, I was impulsive," he laughed nervously.
The young heir helped lift the young woman off the floor and she said nothing more and
Sebastian concluded that the redhead wanted her to leave at once, and he didn't blame her,
she was no less shitty than David at that point.
He would pay her back, he didn't want to play that game with his secretary anymore, now he
just wished she was okay, if only he could make her feel better....
-See you tomorrow then
-Yes, thanks- she exclaimed hugging herself, she needed to be alone and lock everything
up, take a long shower and hide inside her sheets, where she felt protected. She looked
away uncomfortably, still trying to assimilate everything that had happened, especially the
part where her ideas were distorted and David had suddenly become Sebastian.
Had Sebastian done something to his friend?
"He kinda deserves it" He thought feeling guilty at the thought.
-Goodbye Helena
-Goodbye Sebastian
The young CEO closed the apartment door, but he couldn't help but lean his ear against the
door and hear Helena's choked sob inside, he closed his eyes and leaned his forehead
against the wood, he felt so helpless.
"That idiot..." he thought.
If he so much as touched a hair on his secretary's head he would make him disappear.
-Enough crying Helena, you've already cried a lot these days- She wiped hard the last tears,
then sat down in front of her desk and started to do accounts, she had to regain her
composure and be the responsible adult she had always been. With her first salary she
would pay the hospital fee, the child's medicine, the rent, the nanny's salary, and she would
have very little left for the rest.
After looking at the paper full of numbers she made the decision she thought was right, she
would look for a part-time job until she could improve her economy and also know what
decision to make with the baby.
-She shouldn't be doing this, it's illegal- exclaimed the Aller's lawyer nervously, who was
looking hunched over from his desk at the youngest of the brothers, who was leaning back in
his chair with his legs crossed, with his typical air of superiority.
He leaned forward, placing another wad of hundred-dollar bills on top of those already on the
table
-With this money you could take a long rest, and your children's children would never have to
work again.
The scrawny man looked at the green papers on his desk and his pupils widened.
It's a lot of money...
-It is... -he smiled sideways, wrinkling the corner of his mouth, his black eyes shone like a
starry night, and he couldn't help but chuckle at his early victory, he looked like the devil
himself about to close a pact.
-It's that Mr. Aller, I don't understand why you want to put this new clause to the contract,
requiring your brother to have a child to collect the inheritance will only make the will benefit
him even more.
-I thank you for your concern- he exclaimed falsely- But Sebastian will not be able to comply
with this clause, therefore everything will be mine.
-Why couldn't he?
-Because Sebastian is sterile.
