36 - Ambush

"Good morning my love..." purred the brunette, buried in her lover's bare chest.

"Good morning, princess. Did you sleep well?" She asked, pressing her forehead.

"Yes... very good," she smiled.

Since they had declared their love and no longer had to hide it from the world, they began to share a room, neither their old one nor Ivan's bachelor room. But another one, much larger and with a beautiful view of the grand entrance of the mansion.

"I'm glad, princess," she exclaimed, sliding out of bed to begin preparing for her day. "I have many meetings today, I won't be able to be with you," she pouted.

"Let me come with you," Helena whispered, stretching her arms out of the sheets.

"You know I don't want you to get involved in my family's business," she said softly, approaching the bed kissing her hands. "It's dangerous, I would never forgive myself if..."

"It's okay," she exclaimed, smiling sadly. "You know I worry too every time you leave, sometimes..." she sat on the bed, with her hair tangled and concern on her face. "I'm afraid that do not come back.

"Honey..." she said, sitting on the edge of the bed. "I'm stronger than that, I still have many years to live with you." She smiled with her beautiful dimples on her cheeks. "You're not going to get rid of me." so easy.

Helena laughed amused and leaned forward giving him a chaste but full of feeling kiss.

"I'm going to be anxious for your return," she whispered very close to her face.

"Me too, my princess, see you at night," she exclaimed, getting up. "Stay in bed a little longer, rest well and eat a lot, an exhausting workout awaits you at night," she said, winking at him.

Although they had already done it a hundred times and even in places where they could have been discovered by an employee, Helena still blushed hard every time Ivan said something like that.

"Go away!" She screamed, embarrassed.

Ivan laughed once more before walking out the door. Helena threw herself on the bed and covered her face with her pillow, without realizing she had fallen completely asleep.

---

“How much longer is this going to take?” She thought to herself when she saw the time on her latest model Rolex, it was almost midnight, she had not expected to take so long, she could not wait to return to her beloved and spend the night with her sleepless. loving her non-stop.

Suddenly, she began to see that there was more movement in the place, as if things had suddenly changed. With her analytical black eyes, she silently observed the silent conversations of his new partners, who were watching him out of the corner of their eye.

"Is everything okay?" She asked, feeling a lump in his throat that she hadn't realized she had and it seemed like she was going to drown him at any moment.

No one answered, until one of his men ran towards him and felt that something was wrong, very wrong.

"Mr. White, they are attacking the house," he whispered in his ear.

She didn't have to say more, Ivan suddenly stood up from his seat, throwing the chair back, his mind could only think of one thing and that was his beloved, who would surely now be sleeping peacefully in the bedroom. her bed when…

“If they do something to him…”

-Gentlemen...it is time for you to demonstrate your loyalty to Grupo Sol. Will you join us?- he exclaimed, showing that he was not afraid of his new partners.

They looked at each other and nodded.

-Come on.

---

Helena refused to sleep, she wanted to wait up for Ivan, she hadn't seen him all day and she was starting to worry about him. She wanted to call him, send him a message, but she didn't want to bother him.

She was in her bed reading a boring book, or maybe it was because she couldn't concentrate, when she heard hurried footsteps from the hallway.

"Ivan?" She exclaimed loudly, running towards the door, which flew open before she could even grab the handle, making her flinch back.

He would have died of a heart attack, had it not been for the fact that the face that appeared before her was that of someone she knew well.

-Nick? What's going on? "Where is your brother?" she asked, nervous about the unexpected night visit.

"Shhh..." the young man fell, placing his hand on her mouth and closing the door behind him.

Helena tried to speak through her hand.

"I'm going to let you go, but if you don't talk," the young man whispered, "Is that okay?"

Helena hesitated but she finally nodded and although she wanted to ask many questions, she restrained herself.

"Listen Helena, we must hide," he whispered, walking around the room, feeling the walls with his hand.

Helena followed him behind her, thinking that her brother-in-law had lost his mind, until she saw something she was not expecting: in her own room there was a hidden door, which led to a small hiding place, like a extension of her room.

Nick stepped aside so Helena entered first. The young woman hesitated for a second, but she finally entered, then the young man entered and closed the door.

Nick turned on the light in the small room and sat on the floor hugging his legs.

“Well, this is weird,” she thought nervously.

"Now are you going to tell me what's happening?" She whispered, walking nervously through the small room.

Suddenly her cell phone started ringing and to her dismay, her cell phone had been forgotten on her bed.

The brunette tried to get out of it, but her brother-in-law grabbed her arms tightly.

-Don't go out Helena...

-But what if he is your brother? -She asked desperately.

"They are attacking us," the young man exclaimed, trying to remain calm.

-That? And your brother? He's fine?

-Don't know…. They simply entered, m-killed all the guards at the entrance and-and... I just ran with all my strength and came here, I don't know more," he exclaimed, sitting down on the ground again. "Father must be taking care of it.

Helena began to hyperventilate, feeling death inside her. What if they had attacked because Ivan was dead and now they were coming for all of them?

Her hand traveled of its own accord to her belly.

"No..." she whispered, full of fear. "I can't die, Ivan can't die, not without knowing the truth."

"What's true?" Nick asked.

Helena hadn't realized that she had been speaking out loud.

"Shit"

Once his men had cleared everything, Erik's father calmly advanced through the entrance to his enemies the Sol Group, behind him walked his son not as sure as his father.

"Son," the man exclaimed, admiring the great mansion. "After years, I'm finally stepping foot in this house again, which will be mine in moments."

The man put his hands on his waist and breathed deeply, releasing a pleasant sigh.

-It smells like victory.

"Father... Do you remember our deal?" He said nervously.

The man rolled his eyes.

"I told you that your heart was the problem," he exclaimed harshly, turning to his son, who was looking at him worriedly. Then his frown calmed down and he smiled. "You remind me of me at your age, a lover."

"Father..." the young man repeated, fearing that the man would forget the only requirement they had agreed upon when they decided to attack his enemies.

"Yes, son, I remember, not to hurt that little girl, Helena..." he said with disinterest.

"Thank you father," the young man exclaimed more calmly.

-I really don't understand why you love that woman so much, there being so many...

"I have my reasons," he said, taking his weapon and advancing carefully. He couldn't die right now, not until Helena knew the truth and returned to where she always belonged. To the Blacks, to the Luna Group.
