Jordan!
Jordan glanced at Tina. He knew the whole show and drama that they both put up. It's only Dare Wilson that is blind to such minor details. Instead he was insulting the woman. The thing he was supposed to pay attention to was different from what he was doing. And at the end of the day, he was trying to bribe him. He was being paid for the job he was doing. Why should he be looking for another encouragement from a victim's father? Tina chuckled aloud and glanced back at him. She didn't know Jordan got it, that means he also is the type that pays attention to details. "I didn't know you got the drama. Hahahaha, that Rebecca of a woman should have been an actress" Tina said aloud, putting two of her fingers into her sneakers to bring the paper out. "Just like you should have been a model right?" Jordan stated. He glanced at her and saw her pause, her forehead squeezed into layers of fold as if she was angry. " Someone has told me that before. Maybe when I put my mama's killer behind bars, I might consider resigning and going into modelling" Tina said and carefully was unfolding the paper. Jordan smiled. He thought she would be angry. She took it jokingly. He loved people with such temperament. Not the likes of Dare Wilson. Her Mama's killer? Does she also have a similar experience like him? She said something about it that morning but didn't expect it to be because she wants to avenge her mother's death. He wants to avenge his wife's death and she, her mother's. They would work together and achieve their aims. Once this investigation is over, they would think of unveiling what has been forgotten. They would work together that time. But until that time comes, he would say nothing about it to her. He thinks he likes someone like that. Her refusal to let Dare Wilson touch her shoulders had impressed him. After unfolding the paper, Tina read the content of the message. 'I have answers to a few of your questions. Tonight, 10pm at the garden resort' was the content of the letter. She glanced at Jordan and he did the same briefly before concentrating on the steering again. What does she mean? "I don't know why, but I don't trust Dare Wilson. I would meet her at the address she gave me and at the time mentioned" Tina said. She chuckled softly. She knew it, that woman knew a lot. Thank goodness, she was willing to be of help. But she has to be careful. It might be a set up. She would be extremely careful considering the attack she had that morning. Her arm still pained her but she covered the bandage with a jacket. Only those close to her know she was injured. "I'll accompany you," Jordan said. She was attacked that morning, she refused to go and rest and at such a time, she was going to meet someone she is not sure of her sincerity. He wouldn't let anything happen to her. He must protect her. He couldn't protect Rachel enough that was why she was kidnapped. He would never allow any woman around him to be exposed to danger again. He will have to do all he can to keep her safe From harm. "... Jordan, are you crazy? Are you going to watch me get drowned? Silly you..." Rachel yelled at him, coughing and holding her chest. She was wearing a bikini and they went to the beach on a warm morning to have a picnic and they were having fun with Martha, Jordan's sister. Rachel had gone too far into the river and the waves swept the sand off her feet and she seemed to be going farther into the water. "Jordan!! Jordan!!" She screamed, scared and afraid she was going to drown. Jordan was smiling until suddenly he jumped into the river and got to her, caught her and brought her into his embrace. Without waiting for her to say anything, his lips crashed on hers. He kissed her ferociously, biting her lips and letting them both have a taste of blood. Eventually when she was able to catch her breath after a vigorous period of kissing, she was pounding his chest with blows. "Next time, you should be more careful at the bank of the river.." Jordan reprimanded her and held her by the waist, walking towards the shore. That was a few months before their wedding. He can't remember if they were ever able to go to that place to have some fun ever again. That was their last time at that beach. He missed her so much. There hasn't been a passing day after her death that he doesn't remember her. "... Jordan!" Tina called him for the upteenth time. What happened? She had talked to him, repeated it and still no response. Jordan seemed to have woken up from slumber. This was not the first time this was happening to him. Each time he gets carried away with the thoughts of her, he often becomes absent minded. "Sorry, you said something?" He glanced at Tina briefly and continued driving. Tina squinted. His eyes were red. Whatever he was thinking about was something unpleasant. How was he able to keep driving with such an absent mind? Tina nodded. She was quiet for a while and then said " I was asking you if you have to stress yourself to come along with me" Tina said. There was silence for a while and Jordan said " I won't leave you alone. I am coming with you even if I have to watch from a distance" Jordan declared. Tina shrugged. Whatever, she doesn't mind. In fact, she likes his company a lot. If he comes with her, she would be happy though. "My failure to protect her as expected made me lose her, I won't let that happen again" Jordan said with a low tone as if talking to himself but Tina heard. Lost her? Who was he referring to? A certain person was talking on the phone " in one word, tell me what you know about that detective Jordan?" He needed to do something about that fellow. He is known to get to the root of his investigation. He usually comes out with accurate answers. He hoped his informant would give him answers as the proceedings were going on. He doesn't want to leave any stone unturned. They could find someone else to nail the crime on, not him. He mustn't be discovered, his Secrets must remain secret. " Fine, follow up on him. Sabotage his work if you have to" the caller said and hung up. Kunle and Isabella arrived at the office. They had gone to check on the corpse of the victim of the murder and confirm her to be the same Lulu that Tina met the previous day. They were on their way when the report came to them that Collins Bruno had been arrested. They needed to see him and interrogate him. They both dashed into the interrogation room and saw a young guy seated with his hands handcuffed. Jordan has said he would interrogate him himself but there's no big deal if they start already. Considering his agitation, it might be easier to get answers from him now. When Collins Bruno saw the Detectives walk in towards him, he knew a new storyline was about to begin with him.
