Chapter 50 Lashed at her

"I hate it when ladies lose their sense of decorum and shamelessly throw themselves at men! I had thought you are disciplined and well behaved, I didn't know that you are nothing different from those call girls out there.
I would advise you that you don't love me. I am not looking for that four letter word from any woman. And when I do , it's definitely not going to be a cheap woman like you.
Now I know how you were able to climb so high within a few years of being a cop. People like you use your face and body to attain heights you never would have reached in years within months..."Jordan was lambasting her when Isabella stood in front of Jordan and cautioned him.
"That's enough Jordan! You have talked too much" she interrupted him but it seemed he didn't see or hear her.
"The next time you dream or conceive that thought in your heart again, I will openly make you a laughing stock. You are not qualified to take Rachel's place, no, you are not anywhere close to her.." Jordan declared and eyed her before going over and slipping behind the copilot seat in Kunle's car.
Tina just stood and said nothing about everything that Jordan said when he insulted her. She seemed not to be the one he had talked to.
The only difference is that her eyes went red and her complexion was Ashen. She couldn't react, she is always like that.
She knew her tears would come but not yet. When she's alone, she would sob but now, she could still put up a courageous mind and appeared to be a heroine.
Kunle went over and hugged her. This was too much for her to hear from Jordan. She hadn't said anything bad by saying she loves him.
He was afraid Jordan was going to lash at her with his tongue when the whole fuss was over. And now, that is exactly what has happened to her.
" Please, don't put it to heart. Jordan is like that, but he didn't mean those words" He calmed her down and told Isabella to talk to Tina, and calm her. He would talk with Jordan himself.
Kunle soon took off with Jordan and Tina didn't stop staring behind the car that Jordan was in,she was speechless.
Isabella pulled her into the car. They have to leave immediately from that premises. As Isabella drove in her car, she kept turning and glancing at Tina.
What had she done? Hadn't she gone to the extreme when she advised her to be close to Jordan. She knew Jordan had refused to be with someone else after Rachel died but didn't expect him to lash Tina so much.
Tina didn't utter any word all along. She sat and relaxed her head on the back rest. Her eyes closed as if she was sleeping but no, she was shutting herself out of her surroundings.
She doesn't want to be disturbed. How can a man say such words at her, calling her by some unhealthy names?
She wanted to let loose her tears but no, she had to remain brave and not let anyone see her tears. She had always been a strong woman all her life.
Her weak moments were not known or seen by anyone. She has to remain strong until she's alone and pour herself out in tears.
When they arrived home, Isabella was happy that Tina handled everything with maturity. She didn't sob or become pitiful. Though she knows that Jordan's words were harsh, she took it with a matured mind.
Tina alighted from the car and gently went inside the guest room where she was offered to stay temporarily. She shut the door and all her emotions and tears she had held gave way. She gently sant unto the floor and her tears poured uncontrollably.
Jora was pleased that her daddy had caught some bad boys and this time, bad men as well, so she decided to call him. He had told her that when he was done with the job at hand he would come around and spend some time with her and her grandma again.
She needs to show concern about the injury he sustained. Her father's arm was in gauze and it means he would be out of duty for a while until he gets better.
Jordan's phone soon started ringing. He smiled when he saw it was Jora. Had she listened to the breaking news as well?
He answered his phone. Jora was applauding him and congratulating him on his victory. She said her father was a super cop.
Jordan just Chuckled and thanked her. He said he didn't capture the bad boys alone, his friends were together with him and they did it all together.
Jora asked if he would be visiting them soon like he promised. She was going to prepare a special present for him.
Jordan said he would definitely visit her and her grandma soon. He promised and the call ended.
"That was Jora right?" Kunle asked and Jordan nodded. She's the only one that matters to him so much, she's the only part of Rachel he has left.
And no one is going to take the place of her and her mother in his heart. He just wants to spend the rest of his life loving and raising her as his lifelong commitment.
Kunle glanced at him after he nodded. He saw he was quiet and suddenly reserved. Though Jordan is not the talkative type, he knows how to keep company when he's with friends.
But he looked expressionless
One can't really say what is going on in his mind. After his harsh words at Tina, only his dearest daughter is capable of making him smile and chuckle like he did.
He would talk with him, how unfair his words to Tina were. Who can really blame love? It only comes to those who believe in it.
Someone like Jordan. If he hadn't believed in Love, he wouldn't have still been blaming himself for what happened to Rachel.
It's been years since her death but the effect of her demise still seemed like yesterday to Jordan. He needs to come back to himself again, to who he used to be.
He has a darling daughter who had never seen her father in his lively and happy self. She did not really know how full of humour her father used to be.
Eventually Kunle dropped him off at home and asked if there's anything he needs him to do for him. Jordan said no, his servants were home and most especially Ms Kavari was home.
That way, Kunle left and promised to check on him the next day. He would have to keep checking on Jordan because of the injury he sustained.
