Chapter 32
Are you sure you weren't followed?" A man's cover asked desperately as his eyes scanned the area to make sure it was safe.
In front of him stood a woman, who also looked around carefully to make sure she wasn't followed and they both stood in the dark forest, dressed in black cloaks to hide their faces.
"You don't have to worry, I wasn't," she assured, looming around to make sure no one was in the forest other than then. She had done her best to leave without leaving any trace behind.
"Good," he replied to her with a satisfied nod.
"So what is it that you have to tell me?" he asked.
"I think they're already starting to dig in deep and I believe they have suspicions already," she informed him and his brows raises slightly in confusion.
"They have suspicions? What do they suspect?" he asked curiously.
"Damien is aware that the Redmoon pack have no hand in the death of his men and he knows something else is killing them and at the moment, I think he has an idea or two about what it is," she informed him.
Placing his index and thumb finger on his jaw, the strange man furrowed his brows momentarily as if deep in thought.
"If he's really aware, then it may seem as though our plan of watering the hatred between them will no longer be possible, at least for now," he muttered audibly with a sigh and his fingers gently tapped on his chin.
"There's more Nathaniel," she added, calling him by his first name to emphasize just how desperate the situation had become.
The skin between Nathaniel's brows creased as she looked at her with a frantic facial expression.
"There's more?" He asked.
"What exactly do you mean by that?" He asked.
"I found out that the Alpha of the Redmoon pack and Damien are actually mates and she has been staying with him all this while," she informed Nathaniel, who immediately turned his back in disbelief.
"Are you serious? Damien is letting an enemy stay in his pack? Since when did that bastard become nice? What's with the sudden closeness between them? Is there something else going on between them? Are they lovers?" he blurted out angrily, hating the fact that his planned seemed to be falling apart.
"How in the world did you allow this happen? Why did you let it happen? You were supposed to create a rift between them and that is why you were placed there but here you are telling me that the alpha of the Redmooon pack is residing with the Silvermoon wolves with their awareness and yet, they have no issues with it? Are they really fine with her presence from one day to the next?" Nathaniel hissed.
"It's not like that big brother. They're also not aware of her presence. He's keeping her presence a secret from them and I thought she would have left by now but I thought wrong," she explains to him desperately.
"So what? He doesn't love you anymore? Has he suddenly lost interest in you? The bastard probably fell in love with her and now, he has stopped listening to whatever you say," he hissed and she frowned.
"Big brother, I can assure you it's nothing like that. I may not know specifically what's going on between them but if there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that Damien loves me. He really does and...," Nathaniel interjected rudely.
"Can you just shut up already! Are you being serious right now? You say he loves you and yet, he hides things from you? What can you say about the Alpha of the Redmooon pack? Do you even know what's happening around you? You silly girl, do you have any idea what would happen if they ever found out about your true nature? Haven't you thought of how all of our plans to destroy would go down the drain if you get caught? You useless child. Instead of focusing on your purpose, you let yourself get carried away like a foolish little girl. How pathetic!" he hissed furiously.
Sheila bit her cheek lightly as she fidgeted with her fingers, a habit of hers whenever she was dumbfounded.
"I want you to go back there and do whatever is necessary to destroy the relationship between Damien and the Alpha of the Redmoon pack. I do not want any excuses and this time, you better not be distracted cause the only reason I put you there is to make sure that we're all safe. I put our people's lives in your hands child so you had better not disappoint me, is that understood?" Nathaniel questioned firmly and she immediately nodded her head.
"No more mistakes Sheila. If the need arises, you can go ahead and kill the Alpha of the Redmooon pack. We will no longer hide in the shadows from today. Our goal is to put those pompous bastards in their place and you are permitted to kill anything that gets in your way. Also, we'll lay low for a while and prepare the right time to attack. All you have to do is ruin that friendship as soon as possible," Nathaniel instructed.
"Understood big brother," Sheila replied with a slight bow.
"You may go now and Sheila dear, make sure you don't get caught this time. I do not want to have to come to your rescue anymore," he warned, visibly irritated by her sloppiness.
There had been instances in the past where she would get caught sneaking around and then she ended up getting trailer without even being aware that she was being followed. He was always the one that had to kill them in order to continue hiding his younger sister's identity.
"Sure thing brother," she said before covering her head back with the cloak and walking away.

The moment Sheila laid her eyes on Kira, her blood boiled and she clenched her fist tightly, glaring daggers at her.
'So this is good for nothing that keeps getting in her way?' she wondered to herself, letting out a dry laugh before walking up to her and stopping her in her tracks.
Kira was taken aback when an average height woman from nowhere suddenly appeared in front of her. She knew for a fact that she had never met this person before but for some reason, she could already sense that whoever she was, she didn't exactly seem like she liked Kira very much.
"You must be Kira, am I right?" Sheila asked, already certain about her identity and just wanting confirmation.
"Yes. I'm Kira, and you are?" Kira questioned, curious to know who she was and why she looked so daring.
"It's nice to finally meet you Alpha Kira and how rude of me not to introduce myself immediately. My name's Sheila, and I'm the Luna of the Silvermoon pack," she replied, laying emphasis on the last part of her introduction with a sly smile tugging on her lips.
The moment Kira heard Sheila's introduction, she couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable.
In front of her was the woman who owned the heart of her mate and that thought alone made her feel a little less confident in her presence. When she looked at Sheila, she could see why Damien was head over hills for her.
Even if Sheila didn't look like she could lift a finger to defend herself, Kira had to admit to herself that she was a beauty. Her presence could easily be noticed without her having to do much and Kira couldn't help but see that as a gift.
"It's nice meeting you miss Sheila but with all due respect, what am I supposed to do now that you've introduced yourself? How exactly were you expecting me to react?" Kira asked boredly as she pressed her lips together in a thin line.
Sheila was not expecting Kira's tone. She hated the fact that Kira seemed so nonchalant about her presence but she decided against showing how upset she was so Kira doesn't think her presence bothers her even if it actually does.
Sheila clicked her tongue. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Are you really asking me that lady? Do you really not know what I want you to do? And by the way, is that a way to speak to your host?"
Sheila scoffed as she unfolded her arms. "Listen Alpha Kira. I don't know what you're up to or what's going through that head of yours but you are really starting to disrupt my peace and I don't like it one bit. I'd advise that if you had any pride left in you, you should just leave this place and go back to where you belong," she spat out in annoyance.
Kira opens her mouth to speak but Sheila cuts her off.
"I'm not done speaking Kira dear and if there's one thing I can't stand, it's getting interrupted when I'm speaking. So do me a favour and keep whatever it is you have to say till I'm done talking, " Sheila hissed in a nonchalant manner than infuriated Kira.
"Good," Sheila said when Kira decided against giving a response.
At that moment, all Kira wanted to do was give Sheila a tight slap across her annoying face but she controlled her temper and allowed her to keep talking even though she was about to blow up any second with rage.
"Unlike Damien, I'm not gonna be fooled by any nonsense that you say, you crazy lady. I know that the only reason you're here is to make Damien yours and you're only using stupid excuses to keep yourself around. You don't even feel the least bit ashamed that the only way you can even dare to hang around your mate is to lie to him and cook up the most ridiculous stories. Are you seriously that desperate Kira?" Sheila taunted, making Kira's insides burn with fury.
She touched Kira's forehead with her index finger, pushing her head back repeatedly.
"Get a grip of yourself and get out of this place you crazy bitch. You do not belong here and let me tell you, there is nothing, absolutely nothing you can do to change how Damien feels. Now with that being said, I shall excuse you and go my way now. I wouldn't want to witness the tears of the almighty Alpha Kira," she mocked with a satisfied smile tugging on her lips.
"Before I forget, I'd also appreciate it if you never cross paths with me again cause the next time I see you, I can't promise that I'll be this polite," she added with a daring smirk before walking away.
Kira let out a frustrated hiss as soon as Sheila was out of sight. As much as she wanted to give Sheila a piece of her mind, she also knew her place in the pack and in Damien's life was barely significant compared to Sheila's, so she decided against putting herself in a terrible position. She decides to shake off Sheila's words and proceeds back to her bedroom to simply cry herself to sleep.
