Chapter 21 I Want to Divorce You

Vernon found himself tongue-tied and the smile on his face froze.
He withdrew his hand in embarrassment, pulled Victoria's cuff and said,
"Victoria, let's go."
Victoria didn't know why she was so sad. The moment she was sure that Edmund and Xenia had sex, her heart felt like bleeding.
She was in so much pain that she still couldn't speak normally.
She just followed Vernon's steps mechanically.
Her legs were out of control and she lost her balance.
Just after taking a few steps, she suddenly sprained her foot and knelt on the ground with a "plop" on one knee.
"Victoria, why are you out of your mind? I heard the sound of dislocation of joints. Your foot is sprained. Let me carry you away."
As he said with concern, Vernon grabbed Victoria's right hand and put her right arm around his neck... He bent over, wrapped around her slender waist with one arm, and reached as far as the bend of her leg with the other to scoop her up.
At this moment, he suddenly felt a biting cold coming from between his brows.
Looking up, Vernon trembled with fright upon meeting Edmund's cold and stern eyes and couldn't help but let out a scream.
"Don't touch her!"
Edmund's eyes were icily cold.
He was a person with strong self-control, but for unknown reasons, every time he lost himself when seeing another man touching her... He was not like a human being at this moment but like a dangerous beast guarding his territory!
Vernon, who had seen much of the world, had never seen such a terrifying person as Edmund.
He hurriedly let go of Victoria.
In the next second, Edmund pulled Victoria into his arms and carried her in his arms.
The moment she was hugged by Edmund, Victoria's heart raced uncontrollably.
However, thinking of him and Xenia...
A sneer touched the corner of Victoria's lips.
"It's inappropriate, Mr. Haines. Besides, you're my brother-in-law-to-be. Isn't it improper for you to hug me like this?"
Edmund's eyes darkened.
Without answering her, he continued his way with her in his arms.
"Mr. Hahn, please let me go."
Taking a look at his perfect face and then looking at Xenia who was standing behind him blankly, further and further away from him, Victoria felt even more ironic.
"Mr. Hahn, your girlfriend is still waiting for you behind you. Please put me down and go back to find her."
Edmund remained silent.
"Mr. Hahn, what do you mean?"
"Mr. Hahn..."
"Shut up."
Edmund interrupted her in a deep voice.
"Noisy."
Victoria was daunted and dared not speak anymore.
Edmund carried her into the elevator.
The unique fragrance on her body was light and ethereal but heavy in the airtight elevator.
Instantly, the hot feeling that was finally extinguished by Edmund with cold water suddenly swept toward him again...
Why?
Victoria's temptation to him was stronger and more irresistible than medicine!
Edmund bit his lip hard.
The pain was the only means he used to resist Victoria at this moment.
A silver Maserati was parked in the exclusive parking space of the hotel.
Upon seeing Edmund approaching with Victoria in his arms, the woman in the driver's seat opened the door of the middle row of the car.
After putting Victoria in the car seat, Edmund immediately grabbed Victoria's feet.
"What are you doing?"
Victoria shook off his hand, but the pain that came from her sprained ankle made her frown.
Edmund, who was always cold and aloof, was not angry at all. Instead, seeing her like this, he felt an inexplicable pain in his heart.
"Check your injury."
"I don't need you!" Victoria pulled her feet back even tighter.
Not daring to look directly into his deep eyes, she raised her face and looked at the roof of the car.
"Your girlfriend is still waiting for you in the hotel. She needs you more than I do."
Edmund's voice was slightly cold.
"Are you throwing a tantrum at me?"
Victoria's mouth twitched.
Throwing a tantrum at him?
She was just a tool he used to cheer his mother up, an extra he was determined to get rid of after a hundred days...
How could she have the right to throw a tantrum at him?
At this time, the woman in the driver's seat said, "Mrs. Haines, as the saying goes, prolonged illness makes a doctor of a patient. Lord Hahn has experienced many battles and knows a lot of common sense in wound healing because he is often injured. Let him check your injuries. It's good for you."
Hearing this, Victoria spoke in a normal tone.
"I'm a doctor, and I know very well that I'm only sprained slightly, and I'll be fine after I get home with a cold compress. I don't need others' false friendliness."
The woman broke out in a cold sweat.
Those who knew Edmund all respected him, and she had never seen anyone who dared to speak coldly to him like Victoria.
But…
Why couldn't she see that Edmund was angry?
"Then let's talk about what happened between you and Vernon tonight." The worry that had been buried deep in Edmund's eyes before disappeared at this moment.
Victoria's eyes were full of resentment.
"You saw me and Vernon coming out of the same room, so did you think I was hooking up with him again? Vernon and I were together because of a patient, and..."
"I know."
Edmund interrupted Victoria.
"I didn't doubt that, because I don't think you'll be so bold to do so after I just gave you a warning yesterday."
Victoria was shocked.
However, ever since she discovered the shameless affair between him and Xenia, she had been feeling something stuck in her heart that almost choked her, and her attitude toward Edmund remained indifferent.
"Since you know, why talk to me?"
Edmund said, "Talk about my request to you."
Victoria was dumbfounded.
Edmund's clear, rhyme-like voice continued.
"From now on, you must report to me in advance if you're going to share a room with other men for any reason."
His words came as a bombshell for Victoria and she lost her composure.
"Edmund, what makes you think you can control me?"
"Because you signed the agreement." Facing her burning eyes, Edmund was calm, elegant, and playful.
"According to article 6 of the agreement, if you get too close to other men, I have the right to monitor your every move when you are with them."
"Agreement! That unequal agreement again!"
At this moment, Victoria was at the height of her rebellious spirit, on the verge of losing herself.
"Okay! Edmund, I've had enough. We don't have to wait until a hundred days later. I will divorce you now!
"No! Now the city hall is off work. Let's file a divorce at nine o'clock tomorrow!"
Edmund's eyes instantly grew cold and frightening as he said in a deep voice, word by word.
"What did you say?"
"I want to divorce you!" Fearless, Victoria stared at Edmund bravely with her eyes wide open.
