MY BOSS AND I
*He is cold but I'm humorous*

Jacinta's Pov

If I keep asking them to choose, we are going to get late for our flight.

In fact they might end up quarrelling.

"Stop it!" I yell and they all look at me.

"Mian, let's go" I say

"But it's not yet decided" says Mian but I don't card anymore.

"We are going to Tanzania. Besides, it's near Kenya so the better. Let's go" I say and make my move.

"Won't you hug us before you leave?" Asks Jessie and I turn to them.

"Come here" I say and they both rush to hug me.

Mian is looking at us with a smile all over his face.

I wonder where he got that cute smile.

Damian and I are now in the car heading to the airport.

I decide to break the silence between us.

"How long does it take to reach to Tanzania?"

"From Rio to Tanzania, it will take at least 23hours and 44 minutes. We don't just go directly from Rio to Tanzania, there are two stopovers" he says

"So, at what time exactly will we arrive in Tanzania?" I ask


"Well, Tanzania is 6 hours ahead of us so if we take off at 10:30pm, we might just arrive at 3:14am Tanzanian time" he says

"That's too long. I will have to sleep, wake up, eat and sleep again until we arrive?" I ask

"Yeah" he says and smiles.

"But don't worry there are two stopovers as I told you earlier " he says

"So where are we going to land in Tanzania?"I ask

"We will land in Dar-es-salaam Tanzania. Anything else?" He asks as the car drives in to the parking lot of the airport.

"What's the capital city of Tanzania?' I ask just to see his so called knowledge.

"Dodoma" he says

How does he know so much about African countries?

"How are we supposed to know where to go after we arrive in Tanzania?" I ask again

"You have so many questions. The couple team has already booked hotels for us and also asked people to pick us up from the airport. Have you carried your passport?" He asks

"Yeah. I always have it with me" I say as I give it to him and he shows it to the attendant outside before we get in.

I have my suitcase with me and he has his.

Samson is watching us as we are leaving and he gets in the car to go back.

"Have you ever travelled out of the country before?" He asks.

"Yes. My dad and I used to travel alot. I was my father's favourite. He used to take me for his business trips whenever I wasn't in school. We also went on family vacations out of the country too" I say as we head for checking.

"What type of business did your father do? Maybe I know him" he says but how can I say that I'm Clegg's daughter when everyone knows that we all died?

"Everyone knows my father but just a few people know me. His name doesn't matter anymore since he is already gone. I don't want to talk about it" I say and look away as a tear falls down from my right cheek.

Just then Mian hugs me from the back and his hug is just warm.

We are actually now on our way to board the plane.

Other passengers are passing by looking at us but I don't care anymore.

I've turned towards him and I'm hugging him back.

I can't stop my tears from falling.

"I won't ask about your past life anymore unless you are willing to tell me. Now stop crying before the plane leaves us" he says and I pull off from the hug.

He is giving me his handkerchief and I've taken it.

He is holding my hand as we head to the stairs with our luggage.

"Let me carry that" he says and takes both bags with him.

Damian's Pov

Jacie and I are now seated comfortably on the plane.

Samson is calling me.

"Boss are you in the plane?" He asks as soon as I pick up.

"Yes, Why?" I ask

"That's good! Your father's goons are all over the city looking for you. I think he found out about your trip to Africa" he says

I said it, dad is a pain in the ass.

"Please switch off your devices, we are about to take off" says the air hostess as she passes by to check whether all devices are off.

I don't know about Jacie but it's my first time to travel in economy class. I always travel business class.

I switch off my phone and look at Jacie who is looking away.

Now I know that she was the daughter of a rich business man.

I can easily dig in to see which business man died and left two daughters.

I want to know what happened to her father's business and why they became so poor.

I will revive the business for her if it died.

I will help her in every way I can.

I don't want to see sadness in her eyes but just happiness.

She is giving me happiness and I will give it in return.

I don't know why dad is always insisting with the Cartneys but if I were to choose right now, I would make Jacie my wife.

She would be the woman of my choice, if she agreed to it.

I'm holding Jacie's hand and she turns to look at me.

"Be happy for me" I say and she smiles.

I put her head on my shoulder and the plane is on the runway.

"Are you scared?" I ask and she looks at me.

"Why would I be?" She asks

"Because your arm is sweating" I say

"I ain't scared but....its the first time I'm travelling out of the country with a different man from my father" she says

I don't want to talk more about her dad since she might start crying again.

"I remember you said that you don't have a boyfriend but you have someone in mind. So, have you ever been in love or had a boyfriend before?" I ask

"Been in love, yes but never had a boyfriend" she says

"So you mean like, you've never seen a man? Like, you are a virgin?" I ask but she turns away and laughs softly.

"Tell me" I say and keep staring at her but she dives in my jacket.
