Chapter 35

Athena was surprised but she still shook the lady s beautiful slender hand, "thank you," she smiled, Sean talks about her to his models? Why?
TB s phone dinged and he picked it up, "oh, I need to go check some things," he looked up at Gloria, "you don t mind staying with her till I m back, do you?"
"Of course not," she replied and took a seat on the sofa opposite the couch Athena was sitting on.
TB looked at Athena, "I will be back, At, just give me a few minutes to handle something that just came up," he smiled to her, "see you soon, Gloria," he said and left the office.
Athena sat and waited for Gloria to bombard her with question just like Esperanza but one thing was certain, she wasn t going to let her intimidate like Esperanza did, no, that s not going to happen again.
Gloria stared at the lady with a smile playing on her lips, "you know, I have come to know that Sean has very good eyes."
Athena glanced up at her when she heard that, why is she talking about Sean? "I don t understand."
Gloria chuckled, "he told me he wants to make you Face of Brand," Athena had to stop herself from rolling her eyes, oh, now she wants to tell her that she is not suitable for it? Well she would prove her wrong. "And from what I m seeing, he made a very good choice."
"What?" Asked Athena who was already thinking of what she would say to her, "you…you are in support?"
"Of course, it s good to know that he has finally decided to change her," she rolled her eyes.
"Okay, let me get this straight; are you in support because you want to get back at someone? I don t understand."
"Dear, I am not getting back at anyone. You see, when you are not in this company, you won t understand what is going on. Everybody has been complaining why Esperanza had been made the face for three consecutive years. I have become that, during my own time and to be honest, I don t even want to be that anymore but Esperanza, she always feels like she is the best model and I wouldn t blame her though, I blame Sean, he gave her that hand and it got to a point everyone thought that they were dating and you should see how she treated everybody then. Listen, I m not telling you this because I want you to hate her or something, is just…"
"I already hate her," Athena said, shocking the lady.
"What?"
"You heard me," and then she proceeded to tell her what happened that night.
Gloria shook her head, "she is like that and even though all the junior models hate her, none of them can actually act against her because they all need her to speak positively for them," she rolled her eyes, "that is getting on my nerve and I blamed Sean for everything but we had a good talk yesterday and he explained everything to me. Nothing ever went on between them, it was just the damn bitch lying as she is good at."
"Yeah, TB told me what she did to him too."
Gloria shook her head, "yeah, he told me too," then she admired her with a smile, "you are beautiful, and there is something about you that attract people to you. You are very charismatic, I mean, I have liked you without seeing you," she laughed softly, "you are even more than I imagined, there is this innocence about you and that is very rare to see in women nowadays, especially those in the entertainment industry."
Athena smiled, "Sean said that the first time he saw me too, as well as Leo."
"See, I never see wrong," she smiled, "hey, there is a party tonight, you think you can come? If you want to make it big, exposure is the best thing you need. What do you say?"
"Well…."
"Come on, wouldn t you want to hang out with your fellow woman? Although Sean is very awesome to be around and TB can be very addicting but there are some things you can t talk with them, right? Like when I was having crush on Sean, I couldn t tell anybody," she laughed when she saw the shocked look on Athena s face, "don t be like that, who wouldn t have a crush on him? He is…honestly, I still don t know the best words to describe him, so if you are crushing on him, don t worry, when you are finally out of his house, it will die off," she winked.
Athena bit her lip, so that s what it is, just a crush and she would be over it as soon as she is out of his house and as Gloria said, it s something very common with the models and that also means that he is very used to seeing something like that. Well, she just has to control herself and everything would be okay.
The door opened and a black haired lady entered, Athena recognized her as Sean s secretary, "Ms. Grace, Mr. Brand asked me to get you."
Athena nodded and stood up, Gloria stood up as well, "I m coming with you, there is nothing I will be doing here anyway." She smiled.
The three women went to the conference room and they saw TB approaching as well, "there you are, I was coming to get you but Sean told me he had sent Diana."
"That s no problem," Athena answered.
"Well, come on, let s hear what they have to say," he grabbed her hand and led her into the conference room. The directors were surprised when they saw her, it was definitely not what they were expecting and some of them were even preparing what to say to turn her down. They looked at each other and were at lost on what to say.
Sean smiled when he saw the look on their faces, "well, have I lost my eyes or what?"
One of the directors heaved a sigh, "actually, Mr. Brand, we didn t say you have lost your eyes, we were just worried who it would be that isn t one of our models."
"Well, now you have seen her, what next?"
The directors looked at each other again and they reached an agreement, the first one spoke again, "well, since Mr. Brand had chosen her, we can only agree," they all smiled.
Sean smiled as well while TB rolled his eyes, they had rejected earlier and now they were speaking like they had initially agreed.
The meeting was then concluded and Athena was told to get ready and that the shooting would take place on the Wednesday of next week. They all went back to Sean s office and Gloria told Sean about the party in the night which she had invited Athena to earlier.
Sean glanced at her, silently seeking to hear from her if she wants to go, but seeing the way she was smiling to the woman, he was surprised but not entirely, Gloria always has that about her. "Well, I have nothing to say, you know my place, come pick her up."
"That s awesome," Gloria said, "come, let s go, I will show you around," she led Athena away and she could only turn and smile to Sean and TB before she was pulled away.
"Why do I feel like we won t be seeing more of Athena from now on?" TB asked.
Sean smiled, "that s awesome, I have always wanted her to mingle and Gloria? She is just the perfect one."
TB stared at him and then back at the door, there was no doubt that Gloria would expose Athena more and introduce her to interesting people, but he just doesn t want to lose the only friend he had gotten again, but that can be fixed, he would just join them. Thinking to that, he smiled and said, "well, have fun being alone tonight, because I would be going with them." He smiled and walked out of the office with Sean staring at him in shock and then he shook his head and smiled, things would be more interesting now.
