Chapter 37

Athena wanted to reply to being called an amateur but Gloria slowly shook her head to her while making a mental note to tell her that when in group, that there are something she shouldn t reply to if she doesn t want to be given a nickname that would stay with her forever. Athena caught on and smiled, sipping her drink, she said, "it s a surprise when there is another side to a story, because what you just said is different from what Sean told me," she glanced at her, "he said that he didn t want to use you as the Brand s face anymore because you have become Fashionista s face and Brand is unique and will never have the same face as another company, so you being the face of Fashionista has already disqualified you."
Esperanza was surprised when she heard that, what she said about Brand being unique is something common, everyone knows that but she had never thought that would be a problem since Sean gave her the endorsement himself and also, he and Leo are very close friends. Now hearing from Athena that she was disqualified not only surprised but annoyed her and she hates that Athena had to be the one to take her place. She glared at her, wishing there was something she could say or use against her to ruin her image but there is nothing about her that was scandalous. The only thing she has against her is that Frank dumped her and she can t use that because she still needs Frank to take her away from Sean s side. Another fact is that Frank would be insulted for dumping her when she was nothing and wanting her back when Sean had brushed her up and that would only create more exposure for her and that s not what she wants.
To die off the matter, she harrumphed and turned to one of the younger models and strike up a conversation. Within a minute, everyone went back to what they were doing and soon it was like the little banter never happened but Gloria s announcement has already brought Athena forward and everyone was already looking forward to when Face of Brand would be revealed for them to confirm what happened there.
Athena excused herself from Gloria at some point to visit the lady s room, she had had quite a few number of drinks and as she made her way to the restroom, she made up her mind to talk to Gloria about leaving, she have had enough fun for one night.
While still in one of the stalls, she heard someone enter the restroom but didn t bother about it, when she was done, she came out of the stall and walked over to the washbasin to wash her hands. Looking up at the mirror, she was shocked when she saw a certain platinum blonde hair. She didn t say anything and waited until her shock passed to look down at her hands, paying no mind to the lady standing behind her.
Done, she placed her hand under the automatic hand dryer and when she was set, she turned to leave but that was when Esperanza grabbed her hand to stop her, "you must be feeling too good about yourself, right?"
Athena smiled, "of course I m feeling good about myself, I m well and beautiful."
Esperanza scoffed, "don t think that just because Sean introduced you as his girlfriend the other time that he is serious. In case you don t know, Sean and I have gone way back and neither you nor anybody can separate us, you and I know that whatever he said that day was to spite
Frank." Seeing the shock that passed through Athena s face, she smirked, "yes, I know. Sean told me how miserable you were when Frank dumped your sorry ass, and he is just helping you to get him back as the good man he is," it was a random guess but seeing the look in Athena s eyes made her feel like she had just uncovered a secret. "So if you don t know or haven t realized it yet, take it from me, he doesn t love you, he doesn t value you, whatever he is doing is to spite Frank so I will advice you not to take it too seriously and not to believe in everything he said. You should know better that he only acts lovingly where Frank is, that should tell you that I am not just making claims.
Also, there is something you don t know about Sean, something that will ruin you if you don t stay away from him. Sean is known for his great skills at training women, and it has been said that he has been training women for seventeen years now where as Brand entertainment is only ten years old, so the women he has been training for the other seven years, what happened to them? Ask yourself that question when you will sleep at night, if Sean doesn t want to make you a model, what does he want to make you?
A little history on him, Sean came from a very poor background, and when he was twenty, he suddenly became rich and with no story to tell what he was doing and could be fetching him such amount of money. And, there is a rumor then that he was training young ladies, and often seen around with them. Think about it, what do you think he was doing? The Sean you know isn t the angel you think he is, I will advise you to stay away from him while you still can," she smiled, looked at the mirror behind her and arranged every strand of her beautiful hair that was out of place. She looked at Athena again and smiled, "have a great thinking," and with that, she left the restroom with a smile on her face.
Athena tried not to be bothered by what she heard but no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn t wipe out everything she said. She had carried a research on Sean, ever since seeing him the way she did that day in his room, she hasn t gotten over the thought that something has happened to him, something tragic and also, the HER he spoke of, she wants to know who she is and why she was able to affect a dignified man like him in that manner and so, as soon as he bought her a laptop and taught her how to browse with it, the first thing she had done was search about him but there was nothing. All that was said about him was that he started founding Brand single handedly ten years ago and people were surprise at his source of wealth and still are.
Not only did he founded Brand alone, he bought a three hundred years old mansion which had a lot of zeros to its price, yet, there was nothing about him, if he was the son of a rich man or anything. The only news that was fished out about him was that he had been training women to become the better version of themselves from his eighteen years of age and nothing could be said about those women and seven years later, he started founding Brand and continued training women who now became his models.
Now from Esperanza s story, she realized that there is something that has not been talked about, what happened to the first women? Where are they? Athena didn t know why Esperanza had to tell her about that and also, she wasn t sure if she liked this new information. She has painted a beautiful picture of Sean in her heart and she doesn t want the situation whereby she would start looking into his whereabouts or suspecting him.
She shook her head, no, there is no way that she would think bad about Sean and rather than do that, she would ask Sean and wait for him to tell her his story himself and if Esperanza wants to ruin her friendship with him, she won t give her that opportunity. Glancing at herself one last time in the mirror and making up her mind to tell Gloria that she wants to leave, for she can t bear to sit in the same room with Esperanza for tonight anymore, she opened the door to leave the restroom.
As she opened the door, she was shocked to see the man leaning on the wall, "women are so famous with gossip, aren t they?" He smiled.
