Chapter 52
Athena watched Sean leave and when he was out of sight, she turned to see TB glaring at her, "TB…"
"Don t," he raised his hand to stop her, "Sean is right, you should do what you want, neither him nor I has the right to stop you." He sighed, "I just wish he should be really true to you this time, Athena, I will really not want to see you the way you were the first time I saw you." He forced a smile and heaved a deep breath, then he walked up to her and hugged her, "you love him, I know that now but if I am being really honest, during the past weeks, I had thought you have gotten over him and that you had your eyes on someone else," he released her and looked the way Sean left and shrugged, "but I guess I thought wrong," he smiled genuinely this time, "you know what, go try him out, if he hasn t change, don t hesitate to come back here, you are always welcome, also, it would be the perfect time to sort yourself out, know what you truly want."
"TB," she sighed and hugged him again, "thank you." Maybe he is right, maybe staying with Frank would help her in her confused state, maybe she would finally be able to figure out herself and know who her heart truly beats for, she just hope she wasn t making a big mistake and it wouldn t be too late for her when she finally overcome her confusion.

Athena woke up in the middle of night, she couldn t sleep again and decided to walk around and clear her head. Frank had called her later in the night to say that Sean had paid for the sewing machine and was thanking her for talking to him in his sake. She had told him about coming over to his house the next day and he had been joyous and had ended the call with 'I love you and I will be waiting for you . She had dropped her phone immediately and didn t even feel the urge to reply to him.
The thought of going back to him wasn t as joyful as she had imagined it to be the first time, she had taken a whole hour wondering if she was doing the right thing before she finally fell asleep and now she was awake and started from where she stopped. She left her room and on approaching the living room, she could hear a faint melody, the first thought that came to her mind was that Sean was playing and then she became afraid, is today the second time in the year that he isolates himself from people? She gulped and remembered her first experience with him that other day and shivered, but even though she was overwhelmed with fear, she still pushed open the door and went into the living room.
Sean had found it hard to sleep, all he thought about was what Athena said and how she was moving out to go back to Frank, he had been angry, furious at her but after a while, his anger elapsed and sadness took over, he was going to miss her, even though she moving out would help with his plan of not getting close to her again, but it still hurts like hell and he was already missing her. Tired of thinking and wanting something to distract himself with, he decided to play; it had been so long he played.
Touching the keyboards had brought him a little peace and soon he started playing a song, a song that she loved so much, he closed his eyes and remembered her, how happy she looks whenever he hummed the song for her and the sound of her laughter. He also remembered how she ran around then in the little space they called front yard and how her blonde hair always fly around her when she ran. She was his sunshine and would always be.
He was lost in thought when he felt someone beside him and opened his eyes to see the person responsible for his sleepless night. At first he wanted to smile to her, sit her down and tell her about her, about his sunshine and how she loved the song he was playing. But remembering everything that was happening and how she was responsible for his pains, he closed his eyes once more and his fingers stopped moving on the keyboards.
"Don t stop," Athena said, "that s a beautiful melody."
"Mm," Sean answered but he didn t play again.
Athena would be a liar if she said she didn t notice the difference in him, she heaved a sigh and looked at the piano, "Sean…"
"Why are you awake, Athena?" He interrupted.
She heaved another sigh and answered, "I couldn t sleep." He nodded and she waited for him to say something but when he didn t, she began, "Sean…"
"Go back to sleep or you can use this time to be packing, you are moving this morning aren t you?" he interrupted again.
Athena bit her lower lip, "well, not this morning but towards evening."
"Okay, I will ask Roger to drop you off."
"Thank you," she said and he nodded in response. "Sean…"
"You should…"
"Don t interrupt," she warned, making him look at her in surprise, "don t interrupt, you are going to let me say what I want to say."
Sean sighed, he doesn t want to hear her say anything, especially if it s about explaining why she was going back to Frank, he doesn t want to hear it but at the end, he just stayed still without saying anything.
"Frank said you paid for the sewing machine."
Oh, that s what she wants to talk about? He was a little relieved at that but also sad that she wasn t giving him an explanation. He is really crazy, he thought, "yes."
"Why?"
"I told you I would."
"And we agreed that you shouldn t, I told you I was not angry, you didn t have to do that."
"I didn t do it for you," he answered, surprising her.
"Then why?"
Sean shrugged, "I just did it, there was no need in giving him a hard time when I know I put him in that condition. I wanted to have fun and I have had fun so…" he ran his hand through his hair gracefully, "I did what I had to do," he looked at her. Their eyes met and he could see the confusion in hers, although he was dying to explain himself to her but he didn t, he doesn t have to explain his reason, leaving her confuse would make her believe that he wasn t attracted to her and that would make her not stick back out of gratitude, he wasn t going to do that to her, force her to stay with him. He stood up, "well, I have played enough, time to sleep. Goodnight Athena," he said and walked away from her while she stared after him in confusion, something was different and she feared she was the reason.
