Chapter 18

Allison's pov
It's early morning, I can tell because when I opened my eyes I see a little light peeking through my closed window by my bed. I turn over to my nightstand and look at my phone, it reads 6:30 am. I unplug it from the charger and get up. I go to my huge closet that my clothes don't even fit in one tenth of the space. I don't have many clothes because my parents didn't let me buy anything with my money and I had to get clothes from free boxes. Some though I was given by my friends I had, though. I dress in a loose-fitting top and some jeans. I brush my hair, and I dont bother looking in the mirror cause I know whatever I do, I will never be much to look at. I head downstairs to the kitchen to get some coffee and see Connie cooking away at the stove, and I look and see Zander sitting at the table and my goddess did he ever look good, his hair was a mess like he ran his hand through it and he was wearing a dark shirt and black jeans. My mouth went dry, and I went over his face, he had beautiful brown eyes, and they seemed to shine an almost honey color in the morning light. And his lips, they were drawn in a fown when he was looking at his phone. His lips looked so kissable. Zander looked at me and gave me a questioning look, but then he smirked. I realize he had caught me staring at him and I looked down.
"Oh good morning, miss." Chirped Connie facing me oblivious to what I was doing just a second ago, thank goddess.
"Good morning, Connie." I said while sipping on water to try to cool my red face.
"Sit down dear and have something to eat." Connie said, fixing a plate for me. I was about to say I wasn't hungry, but I caught Zanders eyes, and it like he knew what I was going to say because he had this look that dared me almost to reject the offer. So, instead, I nodded my head and sat down. Connie set down my plate, and on it was buttered toast eggs and bacon. Everything smelled amazing, and i said than to Connie, who just smiled and walked away. I poured myself a cup of coffee and added some milk and sugar. I looked at all this food, and it made my stomach roll. I can't eat all of this, but I have to have some at least because if I don't, Zander will start asking questions again, questions I don't really want to answer. So I eat and peek over at Zander, he is the most handsome man I have ever seen. And I can't quite tear my eyes away from him.
"I can feel you watching me." He says, catching me off guard. I look away, embarrassed again at being caught.
"Sorry I was just wondering about something." I say looking away.
"Oh what were you wondering about?" Zander asks me.
"Um" I say not really sure because I lost my train of thought.
Just than I hear a girls voice come through the door of the kitchen. I look at Zander to ask who it was when a girl goes over to him and kisses him on the cheek. My wolf gets jealous immediately and wants to surface to tell the girl he is ours. But I restrain her before she can surface and blow our identity to everyone. Before I can ask questions I really look at the girl and it's one of the girls I saved last night from the man who was trying to assault them in the park. And it's the kne who was not scared of me and said thank you.
"Hey big brother what are you doing home today from work." I hear the girl ask.
Wait did she just say brother? I didn't realize Zander had siblings since I didn't see them at the wedding, just his parents.
"Why are you hear so early in the morning." Zander asks rolling his eyes at the girl.
"That's a silly question. I'm here to meet my sister in law of course." She says excited.
"Well here she is." Zander says gesturing to me.
The girl looks at me and smiles, she holds her hand out to me to shake and I shake her hand.
"It's nice to meet you, my name is Tara. I'm so happy to finally have a sister!" Tara says happy.
I smile back at her, it's hard not too. I look at her and she stands about 5'5 half my height. She has light brown hair and green eyes.
"It's nice to meet you too Tara, I'm Allison but I'm sure you already know that." I say laughing a bit. "I want aware Zander had any siblings." I say softly.
"What you mean Zander doesn't talk about me."Tara says smiling.
"I have better things to do than to talk about my baby sister." Zander says looking at his phone.
Tara just gives him a look and turns to me. "Not sure what your plans were today but would you like to go shopping have a girls day?"
"Oh um" I'm not sure what to say because I don't have any money. I wasn't sure how to tell her when Zander speaks up.
"You should go and have fun, my sister is stubborn and won't take no for an answer." He says looking at me.
I nod my head and go to get ready to go out.
"Ok that sounds like fun, I'm going to get my things and will be right down." I say to Tara she just nods her head and heads for the front door. I'm assuming she is going to wait for me outside. I turn to go upstairs when I notice Zander is getting up. I go up stairs to my room and get my purse and my shoes. I turn around and see Zander standing in the doorway. I walk over to him.
"I just wanted to give this to you for your shopping." He says handing me a card.
I look at it and it's a platinum cars and looks really expensive for a card.
"The card had 100,000 on it and I'll put 100,000 on the card every month. That is for you." He says looking at me.
I'm shocked to say the least, 100,000 I have never had so much money!
"Thank you, but I really can't except your money. That is alot of money." I say trying to give him his card back. He dosent take it though giving a warning look.
"You may need it, it's a small amount but I think it will be enough for you." He says.
A small amount, I scoff looking at him in what world is that a small amount of money. I decide not to say anything more and just take to cars not wanting to argue over it. I really don't intend to spend all of it.
"Thank you Zander." I say.
He nods and moves away and goes down the hallway to his office.
I go down stairs and see Tara waiting for me.
"Are you ready for some fun?" She asks holding the door to her car open.
I nodded my head yes, really looking forward to this.
