Chapter 32

Zander's pov
The conversation Alliosn and I had kept going through my mind. How could her family treat her that way. Everytime I thought about it, it would male my blood boil. I was determined to give Allison the best life I could give her and help her to be happy again. We walked down stairs and we went to the kitchen, Allison was dressed in my clothes and I couldn't deny she looked great in my clothes.
“Good morning Connie.” I smiled at Connie.
“Good morning sir. Good morning miss.” She nodded her head to us. No matter how many times I told her to call us by our names she wouldn't listen.
“Sit down, breakfast is almost done and in the meantime have some coffee and Allison dear I left some medicine on the table for you. Tara already had some this morning so I figured you would need some too.”
“Oh thank you.” Allison took the pills and had a swig of Coffee. Her eyes still looked puffy from crying earlier but she was still beautiful. I remembered what she looked like dressed up for the party and even though she looked great I didn't like how I could see the guys there checking her out. It made me want to rip their heads off.
“Has Tara already eaten?” I ask looking around.
“Yes she woke up earlier and She and Sam ate breakfast and he drove her back to her dorm. They left half an hour ago so he should be back soon.” Connie said while serving us pancakes and sausages.
“Thank you Connie. This looks delicious.
I watched as Allison actually took some food without me prompting her. Although hesitant, she did make the first move. After knowing a little about how her family treated her, I now understand a bit about why she never really ate. We ate in silence enjoying the food when Sam walked in.
“Hey Sam, come sit and have some coffee.”
“Hey boss, I dropped Tara off at her dorm and made sure she made it there in one piece.” He sat down next to Allison.
“Good morning, beautiful.” Sam winked at Allison.
“Sam.” I leaned forward. “What did I say before? Stop flirting with my wife!” I yelled. But Sam was unfazed by my outburst.
“Relax boss, I'm not flirting with Alli.” He said with a smirk.
That did it. “Alli? Who said you could call her Alli?”
“Oh Tara must have told you that she calls me Alli now.” A small quiet voice said. I look down and Allison is looking at me with these big eyes. But it doesn't seem like she is scared of me but quite the opposite. I felt her hand on my arm and almost instantly my anger disappeared. I sat back down. “Sam from now on will you please just refrain from commenting on my wife's appearance. I know she is beautiful but I don't need my best friend flirting with her.” I say with an icy tone looking at Sam.
“Fine, fine I won't say anything else.” He says holding his arms up. “Sorry boss.” He didn't look an ounce sorry.
“Whatever we have some business to discuss so let's go to my office.” I say getting up.
“Um, why don't you wait for a few hours and then we can go out for a while if you want.” I say to Allison.
“Ok that sounds nice.” She says with a smile. I smile back and head for my office upstairs.
“Are you starting to get possessive of your wife boss?” Sam gives me a smirk.
“Shut up.” I push him playfully.
“Ok boss. I'm glad she makes you happy.
I smile and I think about Allison. Hmm Alli, I like the ring to it. We get to my office and I sit at my desk.
“So I ask you if you have any information on Allison's family.” I ask Sam.
“Well not exactly, they seem to have lived under the radar despite being the head of a company.” Sam looks at me with a frown.
“Hmm, that is interesting. It's like they are hiding from the public eye.” Which I can understand because I try to do that too.
“Well I mean it's possible. But like we said before, there is almost nothing on Allison except for pictures I found of her as a little girl.” Sam said.
“What? How did you manage that?” I asked surprised.
“I have a new software program that I can find pictures of people from any time period and it calculates how they would look at the time period.” Sam says.
“Wow, I'm impressed. Do you have these pictures with you?” I ask impatiently.
“I sure do and I must say she looks really familiar.” Sam hands over a folder.
I look at the photos and he's right she really does look familiar. She is about 8 in the picture. And she is playing in the park, there are other photos too and wait is that Tara? There is another little girl that looks alot like Tara and they are playing and running. I look more closely and I see another picture, is that me? I see a taller boy smiling at Allison and the little boy is giving her a hug because she was crying. That can't be possible. Right?
“Did you look at these photos?”
“I did and I thought the same thing. Those kids look alot like us and I think I even remember that day too. I remember a little girl and I think her brother? I don't remember a lot. But we had gone to the park to play that day.
“If that is us then we have met Allison before. But she told me she didn't ever remember coming here. And definitely not when she was a kid.”
“Well hold on, Tara mentioned how Allison said she had been in the city once that she could remember. But she didn't know when. But it is possible that we all met her that day.” Sam said, leaning back in the chair.
“Well there is only one way to know for sure.” I said getting up.
I need to find Allison. I heard her before I saw her, she was whistling a sweet tune.
“Oh hey, I was just drawing to pass the time.” Alli looked at us and frowned when she saw my face. “What's wrong? Is everything ok?” She asked with worry in her voice.
“Yes everything is fine, I have a question for you.” I ask hurriedly.
“Oh ok, what is it?” Alli asked.
“Do you have any jewelry?”
“Yes I do, I keep it in a small box by my bed.” She said blushing.
“Could you get the box please?” I asked her.
She nodded and left. A couple minutes later she came back holding a tiny box.
“I don't have much, but here you go.” She handed me the box and I opened it. Inside were two necklaces and one bracelet. I told it out and I couldn't believe it.
“Where did you get this bracelet?” I asked Alli.
“Um well, when I was a little girl this little boy saw me crying and I told him that some kids had pushed me down and called me names. So the little boy gave me a hug and ran back to his mom and came back with this bracelet. He told me he had made it for a girl he liked but that he wanted to give it to me instead to cheer me up so I have kept it since. It's one of my most prized possessions.
“Yeah I remember now.” I said softly.
I looked at Alli and all the memories from that day came back.
“What do you mean you remember?” Alli looked at me with a questioning look.
“Alli I was the little boy who gave you this bracelet.” I told her.
