Chapter 12 -Can you tell me your suffering
But Jennifer was staying with another man.
In the great world wonders never ceas, and during his consultation, Eddie discovered that this poor woman was actually the girl that he had a crush on in college -Jennifer Louise!
He had a deep impression of her, and she would always be the white moonlight in his heart.
But at that time, everyone envied her and Simon as a couple of fairy gods, a talented man and a beautiful woman, so perfect for each other.
Eddie never imagined that she would look like this when they met again.
Doubt, heartache, and joy.
A mixture of emotions, Eddie could not let her stay here alone.
She must have suffered a lot, and she has more than just this one injury. Simon is a bastard, and Eddie thought that he should help her.
After concluding this, Eddie took it upon himself to inform Simon of her death, and contacted her stepmother Carol, asking her to pay a large sum of money to set up an empty tomb for Jennifer and to keep it a secret from outsiders, while he transferred her to another ward, deceiving Simon who returned.
Eddie brought Jennifer to his home with selfish motives.
When she returned home, Eddie took time off work and look after her all day, so that when Jennifer woke up, there was a strange man lying next to her bed.
Jennifer sat up alertly, the movement was gentle but woke up Eddie who had just fallen asleep, he rubbed his temples and said sleepily, "You're awake."
"Who are you? Where am I? What day is it?"
A series of questions made Eddie laugh, who nodded and said, "It seems that your spirit is recovering quite well."
"You haven't answered my question."
"The question will be answered after you have eaten." Eddie stood up and went to the kitchen to bring out the freshly heated porridge and handed it to Jennifer in a warm voice: "You can solve it yourself, right?"
Jennifer 's intuition told her that the man in front of her did not seem bad, and he even seemed to have the same feeling towards her as he did towards his acquaintance.
"Do we know each other?" Jennifer asked as she took a sip of her porridge and couldn't help but look up.
Eddie nodded truthfully and said in a self-deprecating way, "A omnia like you, naturally you wouldn't have noticed me in the next class at that time."
The omnia, so long ago synonymous with it.
Jennifer smiled bitterly and continued to drink the congee, a bowl of heat went down and Eddie finished briefly introducing himself, Jennifer nodded and handed the bowl to him, rubbing her belly and asked, "Can I have another bowl?"
"What suffering have you gone through; I didn't realize you were so hungry." Eddie played a joke, in fact, his intention was to find out what Jennifer had suffered these days, but before he could finish his question, Jennifer lowered her head, as if she was very reluctant to mention it, so he did not inquire further.
The George family was wealthy enough without restriction, and Eddie often took her to see the animals. This is the first time that Jennifer has been so relaxed.
She sometimes wonders, as she basks in the sun, if she had met Eddie earlier, her brother might still have been saved ......
"What are you thinking about." Eddie reached out and shook his hand, casually pulling a seat over to lie next to her in the sun.
"Nothing, I just think life is unpredictable, God always likes to play tricks on me, I can't get what I want. I was just thinking, if I had met you earlier ...... forget it." Jennifer sighed, turned to Eddie and asked, "You've been with me every day recently, don't you have to go to work?"
"Finally care about me, huh?" Eddie again had a hangdog tone, but still couldn't help but sigh as well, "My parents want me to take over the Movie City business, but I desired to study medicine, and I'm not interested in those showbiz matters at all."
"Then do what you want to do."
"I would like to ......"Eddie hesitantly spoke: "My father called last night to say that the company has recently had problems, many advertisers want to cancel their contracts, my parents are already old and do not care about the business, if this situation continues, the company will go out of business sooner or later."
Although Jennifer is only an 18th-tier star, she understands that the entertainment and business worlds are closely linked, and that everyone lives more or less cleanly. And the sudden termination of the contracts of these advertisers must also have gotten a partnership with other companies with higher interests.
"I think it's time for you to switch streams, and since the current signings aren't that attractive to advertisers anymore, why don't you openly select vegetarian stars and also let advertisers compete with each other for the latest and greatest selection of new stars to endorse. And you guys take the opportunity to give it a push."
Eddie was a bit dumbfounded by Jennifer's analysis.
He relayed these words word for word to his father, who also applauded the ananlysis and praised his son for having a good advisor.
After hanging up the phone, Eddie threw the phone out in excitement, and only after a long time did he realize that it was a mobile phone, and then ran to the lawn to pick it up again, a move that makes Jennifer couldn't help laughing.
"Aren't you so happy just to be complimented?"
"You know, as long as my old man is happy, I don't have to be threatened by him all day to take over the company, I just want to do my medical research and try to save people."
Jennifer stared at him and abruptly burst into tears, then hastily wiped them away, laughing at herself for being so pretentious in her old age.
But Eddie refused to let go of any opportunity to open her heart, holding her hand and saying seriously, "Can you tell me about your suffering?"
