Chapter 36 - Honeymoon trip

This year's charity auction is mainly to create a positive image of the Barry Group over the years and to help the development of the local orphanage, which Jennifer is naturally happy to do.
The opening act of the charity event was designed to be a song and dance performance prepared by a group of children from an orphanage. Before the opening act, the backstage director suddenly walked up to Simon and whispered a few words in his low ear.
It turned out that there were a few special children who were crying backstage because they were unfamiliar with the environment and unable to communicate, so the backstage director had to come over and ask Simon if he should consider just letting the rest of the children on stage.
Simon shook his head and followed the staff to the backstage, ready to find out the details first.
With fifteen minutes to go before the opening act, Simon backstage, holding a toy in one hand and a snack in the other, earnestly coaxed the crying children, gradually calming them down so as not to delay the performance.

Jennifer froze for a moment before she shout in surprise, ''My bag! Simon! My bag has been snatched away!"
Simon left his luggage behind and told Jennifer to stay put, and set off in pursuit of the little boy.
The boy, who looks like a repeat offender, has gotten away with it many times, relying on the fact that he knows the streets like the back of his hand, and this time he looks like a rich wife, so he must have gotten something.
But he probably couldn't have imagined how familiar Simon had been with Paris as a child, and for a ten-year-old child with far less speed and strength than Simon, the end was obvious.
In a short while, Simon returned to Jennifer's side carrying this little boy dressed in rags.
The little boy planted himself in Simon's hands, his mouth indignantly muttering obscenities in French, Simon swept over with a stern look and warned him in skilled French, "Behave yourself or you'll have to go to the police station and stay here!"
"There are many thieves here, mostly children from the poorer districts." Simon and Jennifer explained.
Thinking that there was no loss anyway, Jennifer was more or less flooded with sympathy and was still ready to let Simon go.
Because of this little hiccup, the two of them were delayed quite a lot and did not manage to get on the sightseeing bus.
When they passed by the church, a group of children's choir was singing, and Simon was so interested that he wanted to accompany Jennifer to take a break.
But he didn't know that Jennifer Louise, who was already concerned about children, was even more distraught.
