Chapter 33 -A reunion
"How do you want me to forgive him, he owes me three lives, let's say I didn't mind my own heart, and I'm sorry for these days, but you don't have to put in a good word for him either, I won't forgive him."
Jennifer's unforgiveness was the biggest blow to Simon, who stood on the other side of the stairs, every word she said smashed into his heart, his heart was already full of holes, but he had to admit that he was to blame for all this.
Perhaps it was really time for him to leave.
Jennifer hung up the phone and took a deep breath, no longer having the heart to go back to work. She went back to the garage to get her car, but she always felt a chill behind her.
The moment she got close to the car, a gust of wind blew past and when she looked back, someone had already fallen to the ground with a shriek.
In a flash of lightning, the words "Simon" had already come out of Jennifer's mouth, and she instinctively fell to her knees, hugging the man whose chest was bleeding, and tears fell out directly.
Her brain told her that someone had been following her in preparation to stab her, only to have Simon, who was also following her and preparing to go home, block the deadly tip of the knife with his body.
When the security guards heard the commotion, they rushed over and what they saw was a crazy woman standing beside the two victims laughing incessantly: "Heh, Simon, I didn't think you had never loved me, and at this point in time, you still dare to block the knife for this woman?
Why is it that she, Jennifer Louise, can get the company and I, Diana, have lost a child for you, yet you have to live in hiding and be threatened every day? On what grounds ......"
"Quickly pull her away!" Jennifer shouted at the security guards to subdue her, but Diana was still crying and laughing madly behind her, "Jennifer Louise, I'm not reconciled to this, if I can break you up, even if I die, it's worth it to me......"
As the security guards escorted Diana, who was in a state of madness, into the police station and the ambulance finally arrived, Jennifer kept pulling his hand, begging him to live.
Rolling tears smashed down his face as his posture smiled chaotically at her, using his last ounce of strength to comfort her, "I'll be fine, just smile."
When Simon finished speaking, he couldn't help the heaviness of his eyelids and closed his eyes to fall asleep.
"Simon, stay with me!" She did not dare to shake his wound, so she could only pinch Simon's tiger mouth harder, crying more heavily, "This time, I beg you instead, don't leave me, okay, I will never talk tough again, I really can't live without you ......"
Simon also wanted to be able to stand by her side, wipe her tears and tell her not to be afraid, that I won't leave you.
But he opened his mouth, and still no words came out.
The surgeon came over as the lights went on and off, half relieved but frowning again.
"The patient's wound is a bit deep and it's a matter of luck whether he'll wake up."
Jennifer ran into the ward with the trolley before she could react, and sat on the bed to see him.
She couldn't listen to the doctor's psychological preparations, but only remembered that he said there was still hope for him to survive.
Jennifer stayed at the bedside for two days without eating or drinking, not even daring to close her eyes. Eddie felt sorry for her, but he knew her temperament, so he could only quietly pass her food and let her replenish her strength and continue her vigil.
She spent an unknown amount of time in the hospital and finally fell asleep at the end of her bed with her strength exhausted. In her dream, someone called out to her softly, one after another, a familiar voice that brought tears to her eyes.
When she woke up, the covers were already wet from her crying, and she looked up in a hurry, but the only sounds in the ward were her own breathing and the mechanical electronic sounds.
"When the hell are you going to wake up?" Jennifer reached out to hold the person lying there and murmured, "I really don't know what the meaning of life is without you, how can I feel that there is a piece missing in my heart, you wake up quickly, you still owe me a wedding Simon."
The seconds passed and the response was still endless silence. She was about to get up to get a bottle of hot water when her hand was suddenly pulled.
The warm touch spread from the palm of her hand to her heart, Jennifer was frozen in place, she looked back, Simon had opened his eyes and smiled weakly at her.
"You're awake, you heard what I said!" Jennifer sucked in her nose and broke into tears.
The heavens were still treating her well, and she didn't care if the bottle in her hand fell down in her excitement, she directly buried her head in the nook of Simon's neck.
It was so windy outside that she didn't want to go anywhere.
Simon gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek and then laughed, "I can hear everything, someone can't wait to marry to me."
Jennifer just wanted to retort, but suddenly remembered that she had made a vow that she would never be tough and arrogant again as long as he was safe and sound.
She tugged at the corners of her mouth and eventually changed her tone to respond, "Yes, I can't wait to be your bride."
"So, let's get married."
The two hearts were finally in tune, and there was no need to care about anything else. Simon turned his face to stare at her, his hot eyes made her look up at her, and between her teary eyes, Jennifer brought her face over and pressed her lips to his, adding all her thoughts to this long and tender kiss.
