Chapter 15 -I love her

"Just what?" Simon asked, but he felt unsettle, and as expected, Diana glanced at him and then said the words that made him sink into the abyss.
"It's just that you were so tough last night and said you wanted to dominate me for the rest of my life, and I know you think of me as Jennifer and that I'm just her replacement."
The name Jennifer, when uttered from someone else's mouth, always stimulates Simon in just the right way. Even though he was in complicated mood, he can cover everything up perfectly with his cold, frosty eyes.
He could not let anyone see inside himself, including himself.
"Stop think about that, that woman Jennifer is just a loose woman to me, since we are already engaged, I will be responsible for you. Go and pack up, I will prepare a launch party in the next two days to make our relationship public." Simon spoke with general determination, but his mind was not tranquil.
It goes without saying how important to open relationship for a woman, and Diana all she wanted is this acknowledgement from Simon.
As long as her position is stable, even if there are ten Jennifer, she is no longer a threat.
"Good, then I'll wait for you to keep your promise."
Diana swiped her tears and a smile immediately appeared on her face. She was afraid that Simon would regret it and pulled him back, giving him a peck on the cheek before she hurriedly went out to get dressed.
Damn it, how could he have mistaken her for Jennifer last night?
At this point, what he can do is to put a bold face on it.

"I really didn't expect you are a good cook, usually I would just eat in the hospital canteen or have the nanny cook two dishes at home, it's really good to have you here, you can still cook a dish in different ways. "Eddie looked at the carefully prepared meal on the table and could not help but sigh with feeling, he sat down to eat in a trance, as if just sitting there, a lifetime would pass.
"I'm not a lady of a big family, it's always been me and my brother ...... since we were kids", Jennifer's heart ached at the thought of her brother, she hadn't been to see him for a long time, she was still alive, and she should also try to earn money to help him rebuild the grave.
"Forget about it, let's enjoy food, I have to prepare the information about company."
Eddie knew that it was difficult to talk about that for Jennifer , so he didn't ask further questions, but just take two bites of rice and said to her, "I have already prepared the information for you, when you are free to go directly to my study, I also prepared something else, maybe you can use it."
Jennifer nodded gently and didn't say another word. She kept thinking of her brother's face, he was alone in the cold underground but she could still eat a mouthful of hot rice. The more she thought about it, the more she couldn't eat. She simply put the bowl down and went back to her room to pack up her things.
With a bag in her hand, Jennifer was ready to go out. Seeing her attitude, Eddie asked, "Are you going on a date?"
"Have you ever seen someone dressed like this for a date?" Jennifer's mouth did not allow her to dislike him, but in fact, she was grateful to Eddie, who could always soothe her unsettled mind with his careless words, giving her a brief but real relief.
"Come back early, it's not safe outside." Eddie probably knew that she had some secrets, so he didn't ask much, but he felt a bit uneasy, so he followed Jennifer quietly.
She eventually arrived at a desolate grave.
Seeing her brother's bright smile on the photo, she suddenly sat down on the ground and cried out.
She cried until she was hoarse, forgetting who she was, forgetting all that she had to carry.
The most frightening thing is not that God's will, but that the human heart is unpredictable.
If it wasn't for Simon, her brother wouldn't have died like this, and if she wasn't capable ...... of doing it herself, her heart would not only be filled with hatred for Simon, but also with remorse for her own incompetence.
Jennifer cried until she had no more strength and she stood up, only to find that her whole body had become dizzy and would collapse to the ground due to overwhelming emotions.
She thought she was going to fall hard, but instead she fell into a firm embrace. She opened her eyes and was greeted by Eddie 's heartfelt peach blossom eyes.
"Come home with me." He said softly.
Jennifer buried her head in his chest, but did not have the strength to shed any more tears. She nodded, not bothering to think about how he could be here; at the moment, she could only accept this tenderness that had been given to her.
After she went back, she locked herself in the bathroom and took a long, hot bath. After that, she finally calmed down and got dressed to read the materials that Eddie had prepared for her.
But she had just turned on her computer when an entertainment news popped up and caught her eyes.
"Simon, president of Barry's Film Group, and Diana went public with their relationship."
The title was straightforward, and Jennifer knew everything between the two of them, but she still couldn't control herself and clicked on the video, Simon's handsome face looked exceptionally good in front of the camera, his eyebrows were loving, and he said with small smile, "I love her."
