Chapter 29 -The past revisited
Simon buried the grave again, and the wind came alive along with his heart, blowing him into a panic.
"Who are you putting on a show here."
The familiar yet unfamiliar voice that he had missed so many times in his midnight dreams finally rang out from behind him, and Simon was at a loss.
"Simon, I am truly disgusted with you for doing this."
Simon turned around and stared at her carefully and could not resist the desire to go forward and take her into his arms, his strength seeming to be so strong that he wanted to crush Jennifer into his bones.
"What the hell are you going to do?" Jennifer desperately slapped Simon's arm, resisting his hug all over her body, but the other party didn't care about this pain, instead hugging even tighter.
At the moment of recovery, everyone will be ecstatic, ignoring the injuries they have suffered and inflicted on each other. Simon just wanted to feel her heartbeat exactly and confirmed that this person was really her.
" Let go of me, or I'll make sure you never see me again."
Jennifer spoke icily, now she was like the Simon of old, indifferent to everything he did, with only unbridled hatred in her heart.
Ser was so serious and Simon had to let go of her and stare straight at her.
After staring at each other without words for a long time, Jennifer was uncomfortable with the stare, so she opened her mouth to break the dead silence.
" I just want to settle old scores with you and explain all the past events.
First of all, it's not that I'm abandoning you. My brother is seriously ill and needs a lot of money, and I've already lost everything for him, while you have to continue your studies and fulfil your dreams. You have bright future and I don't want to drag you down.
It's a dramatic reason, but the reason tells me that leaving you will make your life better."
In fact, these days Jennifer was at the cemetery, she saw with her own eyes how disheveled Simon was these days, and she heard all the words in his heart.
But instead of getting the thrill of revenge, she wanted to talk to Simon about all the previous misunderstandings and give herself a clean slate.
"Your brother has a serious illness? Why didn't you ever tell me?"
"Have you ever let me explain properly?" The reason why I came back to you was because I really didn't have the money to pay for the treatment, you were so successful at that time, and from the moment when I approached, you concluded that I came here for money. I wanted to talk to you, but you only had Diana's safety in mind, did you ever believe in what I said?"
"I ......" Simon suddenly learned the truth, it turned out that it was all because he couldn't untie his own knot in his heart, that he had been wrongly hating Jennifer and even got her killed ...... once he thought of this. Simon then had no face to face her anymore.
"You have no idea what you've lost me. Three months straight of being your slave, paying for everything you desire, but you? You haven't given me a single penny, I begged you in a low voice to give me a movie role, but you turned around and gave it to Diana, I have no money, I just know that watching my brother being cut off from all treatment in front of me, watching time and his life leave me little by little, do you understand that pain? Simon, you owe me three lives, how do you want me to face you?"
"Three?"
Simon's mind was blank at the moment, and he could only ask in a dumbfounded voice. Jennifer gave a cold chortle and stared at him with red eyes, "My child was drugged to death by your delicate and lovely fiancée before it was born, isn't that three?"
Simon was at a loss for words, " Diana did?"
"She pretended to be kind enough to visit me, but she secretly tripped me up and when the baby wasn't aborted, she sent me a bunch of bruisers to try to upset my fetus, which I didn't use. How could I have drugged myself when I never drank the birth control pills the nanny gave me? She then found a way to report you, and naturally you forced it on me. She thus aborted my baby by your hand, and could add to the story afterwards that I did not want to keep the baby myself. But did you ever believe my explanation? And you took the knife for her and buried me?"
"I ......"
After the truth was revealed, Jennifer saw Simon's vain and speechless expression, and her mood finally smoothed out.
She turned around and was about to leave, but Simon pulled her back.
"Please don't go, all right ......" he instinctively held back, even though he knew in his heart that Jennifer Louise, who had suffered so much, would certainly not forgive him so easily, but he still tried to use his last ounce of strength to pray, "Give Give me one more chance, okay?"
