Chapter 23 -The necklace
"Get out."
"Don't be so mad." The woman wasn't smart enough, or arrogant enough, to reach up and stroke Simon's throat, flicking it, not saying anything, just smiling straight at him.
Only then did Simon coldly sweep a glance at her, her features were exquisite, ravishing but not vulgar, a face that could charm men.
He thought about Diana at home, whose chameleon-like attitude distracted him, so he did not refuse the temptation of the woman in front of him and was pulled over by her.
He was ready to drink another glass of wine, but the woman snatched it away from him.
"You have something on your mind?" The woman hooked up those big red lips again, and Simon looked at them a little longer, but she didn't feel shaky anymore.
"Everyone who comes here has something on their mind."
Simon turned sideways to look at her and laughed out softly, "So what do you want to do?"
"A kiss." She looked squarely into Simon's eyes and put away her smile, her eyes tinged with a deep, unseen mist, and then moved closer and closer to Simon, her two faces getting closer and closer.
Simon unconsciously closed his eyes, but that light smiling still face suddenly flashed in his mind again, and he reached out to push away the person beside him.
"Sorry, I forgot my identity." Simon stopped looking at her and went straight out with the bill, the woman didn't pester, just sat back in her chair and shook her legs, taking a sip of wine before going off to find the next person who could give her solace for her soul.
When he left the door, a cold breeze blew by, making Simon wake up a bit. He habitually walked to the door of his house, and when the combination lock was pressed to the last digit, he hesitated a bit.
He now feels dull even standing in front of his home.
While in a trance, the door had already been opened by the nanny, he just had to walk in stiffly, and Diana's abrasive voice rang out again, "Simon, you're back, come here quickly I have something to tell you."
Simon put down his jacket and walked over, asking feebly, "What is it?"
"I'm so bored, I'm going to get mouldy lying at home every day." Diana skimmed her lips and pointed to the TV then said, "Look, I live my day to day, that's all."
"Isn't this the kind of life you want, why, are you bored again?" Simon's tone already had some impatience in it, but Diana still kept raving insensitively.
"Do I want to go out and travel? The doctor also said ah, the most important thing for me now is to keep a good mood, it is necessary to go out and walk, I tell you ah, I now, every day dream that we live in a big house by the sea, every day ......"
"That's enough." Simon rubbed his temples, unable to resist interrupting these endless thoughts of hers, but over there Diana exploded into tears and cried, "Are you bored with me again?
Is it wrong that I want to go out for a walk?
You don't understand how I feel when I stay at home every day and only wait for you, it's easy to get prenatal depression like this ......"
Simon's brow is slightly wrinkled every day for the company's affairs has been busy, where there is still time to take her out to travel.
"Well, you get well, I'll give you what you want, and a friend just asked me out to look at a diamond necklace."
"A diamond necklace?" When Diana heard this, she immediately perked up and yelled, "Really Simon?
Of course, I won't go on a trip first, I'll stay honestly at home, so don't lie to me."
"I won't." Simon showed her the text message, and only then did Diana let him go and stop arguing about going on the trip.
