"Don't cross the line, Zack!"
Rosie becomes very sensitive because of her busy work and lack of rest. There is no way out, she has to quickly finish her work. Lately she's been busy researching a new disease suffered by children. Zack wants to help, but Rosie has her pride, she does not want to bother her teammates too much. Although, Zack does not mind if she has to come home late. Moreover, Cherie is still in the land of Panora.
"Hey, come on. I will help you, Rosie."
"Thank you, I can handle this by myself."
"Well, then how can I help you, at least so you don't feel lonely with this job."
Rosie picks up a book on the library shelf and hand it to Zack.
“It's an old book, please summarize it or read it if you don't mind. I want to read that book again, it's a good book. If you've read it, let's discuss it together. I like discussing classic books.”
Zack accepts the classic. He smell the distinctive aroma of an old book he liked. Just like Rosie, she also loves classic books. Zack startes reading a book, occasionally he look at Rosie who is still busy with her work.
"Rosie, do you know the reason why Ghouls can't love each other?"
Rosie is silent for a moment. She does know that Zack has finished reading that classic book called Red Sunset. The book has 600 pages. When she looks at the clock, she realize she has spent the whole day working without a break.
“Are you asking this after reading the book?”
“Yes, this book is about the love story of a fellow Ghoul that ends in death, isn't it? What do you think?"
Rosie takes off her white coat, it is a special coat in the laboratory. She takes off the jacket and wash her hands. Zack gives him a drink, it's a herbal drink that can increase energy. Yes, all workers need that drink. The drink has a composition of fresh blood, a mixture of liver and herbal plants that can restore a tired body condition.

“It is written based on a true story. I'm not sure if it's a lie or not. However, the book becomes a historical record of the circumstances at that time. Reema and Theo are a pair of Ghouls who are sentences to death for loving each other. Ghouls are forbidden to love each other. Those are the rules."
"Falling in love, what's wrong with that?"
"Why do you sound angry at me? Hey, I didn't make the rules, Zack."
Zack chuckles, he realize he is getting carried away by the story of Red Sunset. He imagine her relationship with Cherie, if their relationship is discovered by other Ghouls, they could be hanged or burned to death.
However....
Just once, he wants to fight for his love story with Cherie.
If it isn't Cherie, he wouldn't want to do this crazy thing.
Zack is sane enough that he wouldn't sacrifice himself for someone so insignificant in his life.
“I just got carried away with their stories. Red Sunset.... The title describes the situation of those who are killed at sunset. They chose death rather than living apart.”
Rosie sip her drink again. She got a little blushed by Zack's words. Right now he is imagining what if he are in Reema and Theo's shoes. What if Zack loves her too...

Rosie has to remind herself that she couldn't do that. She tries to kill the contents of his own mind that is imagining his romantic story with Zack.
"What's wrong Rosie?"
"Oh... I am just tired."
"We'd better go home. You should rest too, Rosie.”
Zack and Rosie brought their own dinners. That day they got dinner together. Zack looks like he's still thinking about the Red Sunset book. He is still curious about the book. She is trying her luck this time. Will she be able to find answers from Rosie.
“Do you know of any other works by the same author from Red Sunset?”
“You mean the writer Byanka?”
"I forget the author's name. Yes, do you have any book recommendations from him?”
For that reason, Rosie invits Zack to comes to her house. She always has a library at home or at work. Although the library at work is not as big as at home. However, it is enough to keep journals, history books, documentation and a few classic fiction books for Rosie's entertainment in case she is bored at work or on a break.
“She wrote several scientific journals and also some documentation. Oh, right. She also wrote a book about Ghouls. Fortunately, I have her book, this is my grandmother's."
Rosie takes the books that are on the top shelf, she tries to pick up some books. Zack is even surprised by that. Rosie does have an advantage with her strong memory. No wonder, she can memorize many things in her brain, especially things related to history.
"This is the book. Do you want to read all of them?”
Zack picked up a few books that caught his eye. Rosie is a little surprised, why Zack is so passionate about books and genres like this. Is he...
"Zack... Are you in love with someone?"

Zack's heart skipped a beat when Rosie asked him that. Is Rosie suspicious of him?
"Wait. Aren't you curious, Rosie?"
Rosie stuttere. She originally wants to know Zack's answer because she want to know what the man thought about fellow Ghouls loving each other. However, She does not know that Zack has even asked her the same thing.
As for Zack, Zack is a little relieved because he could control himself and does not panic with question that Rosie gave to him. Now he focused on reading the book in his hand.
“I am more interested in the plot and grammar. She has good creativity in writing fiction and non-fiction writings. I heard she also becomes a reporter when she is young before retiring and writing books.”
That is the new information that Zack got. Zack really has to get close to Rosie to get a lot of information that she had a hard time figuring out through books. All because of Rosie's extraordinary memory of remembering historical events that are not even written in books but she has heard from the elders.
It is indeed a good thing for Zack. How about Rosie? How is she supposed to handle her heart if she keep being close to Zack?
She could have moved on and go back to living a normal life without involving herself to back fall in love with Zack again. However, there is always the possibility. If in a situation like this moment, if she has to always discuss things that make her have hope to fight for her love with Zack, will she still be able to control her feelings?
“Rosie… Have you ever fallen in love with a Ghoul?”

The answer is you, Zack.
But... She couldn't say the truth, right?
