"Who do you trust more? Mine or the elders?" Rosie asked.

She approaches Cherie and Zack, the woman untied her two best friends and whispered in the ear of a dying Cherie saying, "I'm sorry," she said.

Rosie couldn't hold back her tears anymore because she was so sad to see Cherie's condition. Hers legs were injured, her body was almost damaged from the whips from the elders. Zack also gets the same amount of damage.

Cherie tries to open her eyes even though it was very difficult because her eyes are injured. She could see Rosie's face is wet with her tears. Cherie's hand tries to touch Rosie's face when she notice one of the elders running towards them carrying a sword.

Rosie screams loudly as she watch Cherie's eyes begin to close. She hugs the body tightly. The pain she get is worse than when she saw Zack love Cherie. In fact, the pain became very small compared to seeing her best friend sacrifice for her life.

Rosie shakes her head, her tears fallin down into Cherie's body. Zack hold his tears too. She try to give a breathe to Cherie. However, it's all useless.

Just then an elder want to stab Rosie in the back, but Zack blocked it. It almost kill Roise either.

"You should the one who get the karma, elder."

His eyes getting extremely bloodshot as he is able to slash through the elder's chest with his sword.

"Betrayer! You've killed an elder! A traitor must be killed."

Zack turns around, he confidently walk up to the elder and said, "Then I will kill you!"

The battle take place between Zack and one of the elders, although Zack's body is injured at this time, he is still able to fight the elder and almost killed him.

The elder falls to the ground, Zack pressed the elder's throat with the tip of his sword.

"Any last words?" he said.

"How dare you the elders? You fight to kill us because of that woman?" an elder named Leeta spoke in a loud voice. She has arrows and a sword on her body.

"Yes, I killed him because of you.. You killed her first, what did you do to us? We are just Ghouls who love each other but because of your selfishness, we just want our right to love each other. Are those to hard for you all?"

"No, you are wrong, young man. We are doing this so that the Ghoul generation doesn't become extinct. We are doing this so that you can experience life like humans. You are misinterpreting our decision."

"This is all for us, or for you all? I don't see the slightest benefit from your stupid decision to make a rule.

She throw a dagger and it hit the woman's heart. Now, Rosie is taking another dagger and throw all she has to the elder that come closer to her.

The war just happened, all the Ghouls and elders there attacked each other and also ate each other's bodies. Rosie carried Cherie's injured body towards a rock. She take a pray and asked the ancestor to protect her friend while she had to fight the elders.
