CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

Belle came closer to him where he sat and stood above him, barely leaving any space between them. He could perceive her perfume mixed with her shampoo, It once used to intoxicate him whenever she was around him because It was all the favorite scents he loves to perceive on her when they were together. He could recognize what game she was playing even if it was from a mile away and two could play that game, her old tricks wouldn't work on him anymore because she was part of a past he wanted to forget. June was the only thread that still loosely held them together but now even though it took a huge toll on Jordan, she was gone so there was no business between him and Belle anymore. "So I heard you found a new interest again" she said or rather mocked in a sultry voice; thinking she was winning him over with her seductive skills that she always used on him.
He could see her breasts as she bent over to make it obvious and hopefully distract him. it was protruding out of the neckline of her dress. She began dragging her fingers gently over the side of his face and smiled "I told you Jordan, you can't find a woman better than me" she said in a sing song voice and giggled. Jordan was disgusted and his patience with her was already at it's limit. He couldn't believe he was once in love with this woman that now did nothing to him but evoke so much anger and disgust in him, she was here because she thought she still had him wrapped around her little fingers but she didn't, not now and certainly not ever.
she saw the contempt in his eyes for her and frowned, "what's wrong sweetie?" She asked while slowly dragging her fore finger across his lower lip and began leaning in to kiss him but he quickly turned away "I'm not doing this Belle" Jordan told her but she wouldn't listen, she only smiled. He wanted to leave but he was in a tight position, stuck between her and his chair. He decided to fool her and made it look like she had him caged and tranced in her seduction. He intended to go when she least expected it and had her guard down.
"Then I'll make you want it" she said and started trying to get her dress off her body, she pulled back from him to unzip her dress which made her release her hold on him a little bit, he saw this as an opportunity to escape and he stood up immediately. He went straight to the door, leaving her in the middle of unzipping her dress and looked back at her after opening the door to usher her out, he already knew what he was going to see on her face, rejection and anger and he felt very satisfied "you don't get to walk into my office whenever you want and tell me what I want. I have a girlfriend Belle and you know that so I'll tell you to get a life too and move on from me. The daughter you abandoned is dead so we have no business together anymore, now leave!" He rattled and caught his breath once he was done. He knew how an angry Belle can be and what she could do but he didn't care anymore, she could do whatever she wanted to do and he was ready to fight back.
Jordan told her he needed her out of his office again as she stood there, shame and shock written all over her face. He was so sick and tired of the game she thinks she was smart enough to be playing, he told her that she had to stop it, he also told her that he was really tired of the back and forth she was always having with him because they were long done with each other. He told her she could get herself covered up and leave his office whenever she was ready to, he was leaving her there to go home to gather his thoughts because he just couldn't couldn't stand the sight of her anymore.
Jordan left this office immediately and he was really angry, angrier than how he had been when he went to the office because he couldn't believe Belle and what she came to his office to get him into. He didn't think she was still into him but she kept coming back to ruin his life when she notices that there was something going so well for him. He was sick and tired of her manipulation and he hoped what he did this night was going to deter her from trying to make any move on him again. He knew she would have made it public if he had fallen for her tricks, even if she still tried to create any fake news about them this time, he wasn't going to leletvher get away with it like he always did for the sake of June. This time, he was going to make her pay for whatever action she takes against him.
It wasn't going to do him any good if he continued to get involved with her and he couldn't even stand the sight of her now. It was high time she grew up and moved on, she was the one who wanted the divorce and he gave it to her because he was already mentally and emotionally drained from all her drama and tantrums. He needed to move on and she wasn't going to bring him back to where she thought she had left him, he was a better person now, better to himself and to the society, she didn't have the power she thought she had over him anymore, he had let her go and he wasn't going to take her back anymore. She belonged to his past.
Jordan didn't care an ounce about whatever it was that wanted to happen to Belle anymore, he decided to go back home and get himself ready for the next day by getting enough rest and trying not to think about anything. He knew he was going to get many questions to answer from fans, the press and fellow coworkers because of the pictures of him and Adonai, he needed the rest to prepare himself for what he was going to say that won't hurt her or himself in the long run and process, Belle was already forgotten in his mind as it should be, he didn't want to think about her or about anything relating to her, he was over her and she shouldn't be a thought in his head again. He called Adonai and they talked for a while before wishing each other good night again and he went to sleep with a smile and a lighter mind, more ready and eager for the next day. She was like an adrenaline that pumped energy into him.
Jordan finally got up from the sound of his Alarm once it was morning and did his daily morning workout before having his breakfast made by his help. He still hadn't figured out answers that he would give reporters for possible questions they would ask him regarding he and Adonai picture that went viral within minutes. He couldn't even remember how he got to his bed after speaking to Adonia but he knew he was thinking of the interviews that would likely be scheduled for him as he fell asleep, he needed to get ready for work but he was going to do his daily ritual of perusing through his phone and news update before he starts getting ready, it was one of the things he didn't miss every morning when he wakes up. It was also good to be updated all the time about everything.
Jordan was shocked at what he saw on the news, Belle Hashim, his ex wife was accusing him of killing their daughter, this was the height of it, he knew he had a temper he was always trying to control but this time, he wasn't going to let this slide like that, she wasn't going to get away with this, he wasn't going to allow her think that she can make accusations that was baseless and he was going to let it slide, he was tired of her and he wished she would accord him the respect he deserve but she had gone far with this accusations.
Jordan couldn't stop himself from looking at how she explained how he killed their only daughter, she wasn't even clever, she was so dumb that she said he killed their only daughter with a pillow, he knew she wasn't that smart but he didn't know that her vengeance won't allow her to think straight and be creative, she was angry at him that he abandoned her last night and she thought using their daughter death card was going to make her feel better. How shameless and desperate she was to use her dead daughter against her ex husband was on another level of self degradation and Jordan was in awe at how far she willing to go just to ruin things for him. Well it wasn't going to work this time, he was going to sue her and make sure she pays for this drastic declaration she just made. It was going to be brutal.
Jordan noticed that this wasn't all she had to say, she also continued with the fact that she went to confront him about why he did that to their only child, she told the press that he asked her to have sex with him but she refused, then he tried to force his way, he was getting really angry already but he want to loose it, he didn't want that, he wasn't supposed to get angry today because of everything he was planning to achieve, she wasn't going to ruin his day, after what happened yesterday. So he wouldn't let her, she was just an attention seeker saying things without even proof.
Jordan also noticed that there was a video under the report, he played and it was Belle crying and telling whoever that was listening that this was the reason she left the marriage because she couldn't take his toxicity anymore, Jordan was surprisingly calm and only laughed at her sheer stupidity because that was the height of it all. He wasn't going to say anything though or reply her claims online till he got a lawyer, he was tired of talking sense to her, this has to end now or never and it will be in his own benefit if he ended up getting rid of her for good. A restraining order could work and then she would never be seen around him again. He was tired of Belle, she was a thorn in his flesh, it was time to let go of her for his own peace. She was a mistake he wished he never made.
He quickly prepared and dressed up leaving for his office, he needed to get all the reports, scans and prescriptions that were given to him by his daughter's doctor while she was admitted to monitor her health on his own too as her father. He was glad he kept them because these was going to be his evidence against Belle, he was going to fight her in court with all the evidence he would gather, including a video footage of everything that happened in his office the night before when she came over with the intention of seducing him to ruin his new relationship with Adonai... like she always did with all the women he met in the past after their divorce.
This was getting worse than he thought, after gathering all the evidence he could get from his office, with the video footage stored in a flash drive, he left to meet up with his lawyer that also worked for him when he was about to divorce Belle and made it go smoothly. He needed him now, it was time they reconnected again, Belle had broken the last straw of his patience and had gotten on hiis nerves, he was going to make sure she didn't escape whatever was coming for her this time.
