Chapter 17: Shut up and eat old man

" Go back to your quarters " Diana said and start taking the stairs down before they could reply or react.
They tug on each other's dress and squealed in excitement.
The soldiers at the entrance of the dining hall now their head and open the door for the princess to go inside.
When she step in, the hall looks calm and everyone turned to look at her direction. Her presence was felt as she has an undiscriable aura that any woman or any member of the royal family has.
Many people haven't met or seen the princess but the few who has met her said she has an unknown aura that can send chills down someone's body.
Her eyes scan the faces of the people in the hall and her eyes land on those brown mischievous eyes. Those evil eyes that can taint anyone and a smirk appears on her face. She actually planned to wear a straight look throughout the dinner but looking at Sarah's face, she couldn't help but smirk at her and Sarah did the same.
She broke their eye contact and her eyes land on her uncle Claudius who wore a mischievous smile on his face and was sitting next to Sarah and then her eyes land on their son Ephus who just gave her a wry smile and look away.
She avoid her mother gaze and her eyes land on her father's emerald green eyes. Those eyes gives her joy, those eyes gives her hope and light sparkles in her heart. She couldn't help but smile warmly at her father before walking gracefully towards them.
Her seat is secured right beside her father and as the heiress to the throne her seat is gracefully waiting for her.
" Greetings father" she greets her father warmly and her father smiled at her.
" Queen mother and uncle Claudius greetings from me" she said and give her uncle a dry smile before taking her seat gracefully.
Ephesus was expecting her to greet him but Diana don't remember having any cousin relationship with him as Sarah always tell at him anytime she sees them playing together.
She will always say " Ephesus you are a boy and you need to carry yourself gracefully and not playing around with a weak girl who called herself a princess."
That sentence always hits her hard whenever says that and that was why she took the challenge and always sneak to the field to train by herself.
She don't want to be the weak girl Sarah always refer her to.
The parents all shared glances when they found out none of them said hi to each other.
They wonder if those two are having fight bit whatever it is, king Hector knows that Diana is just trying to maintain her Lane and prove to Ephesus that she is the princess of Alvanor and not the weak girl his mother Sarah had always refer her to.
Queen Hector on the other hand was surprised because Diana didn't greet her warmly. She don't remember doing anything that hurts her but then she remembered the slaps she gave her.
As the princess and heiress to the throne , not even the queen mother dare to raise her hands on her. She can be put in detention for her actions.
She signal the maids to serve the food and they starts eating quietly. Diana picked on her food gently. She don't have appetite for food anytime Sarah is around.
That woman has never smoked at her before and anytime she does, it means she is up to something fishy.
Diana traced her father gaze and saw Claudius putting some beefs and Vegetables in her mother's plate and a smirk appears on her face.
She never knew her father is a jealous husband and whatever Claudius is doing, she don't like it too.
If she was her mother, she won't eat those vegetables and beefs Claudius puts in her plate. She will kindly tell him to his face that she don't eat food others puts in her plate except for the food her husband puts.
Sarah saw what Claudius was doing but didn't say anything. She knew right from the beginning that Claudius have feelings for Helen but he shouldn't be doing that in her presence he can if only he is trying to make HECTOR jealous.
" Claudius can you please pass the salt over to me?" Sarah asked in a flirting tone and Claudius glare at her. He really don't like it when Sarah talks to him in a flirty voice in the public.
" Queen Helen do you need more vegetables or beefs?" Claudius asked ignoring Sarah and her flirty voice.
" No she don't need more vegetables nor beefs. She is okay with what she is eating" Hector reply before Helen could even reply.
He really don't like it when Claudius puts food in Helen's plate. He really don't want to admit Claudius had feelings for Helen . He don't even want to think about it.
When Claudius heard what Hector said, he just shrug his shoulders and smirk at him.
'It's just a matter of time Hector and Helen will be mine. We will see if you will still speak for her ' Claudius thought to himself and a cocky smile appears on his face.
When Diana saw how he was smiling, she knew he has something up his sleeves. Even if others turned blind eyes to his actions, she can't. Base on her observations, Claudius is not in good terms with her father and neither Sarah with her mother. The Claudius she knew never smiles for nothing. He is the same as his wife Sarah and to her, they will go to any length to get what they want.
"I heard about what is going on with the princess about going to the woods to meet men. That's really bad and so low for a princess of Alvanor to do that" Claudius said mockingly trying to catch some fun as he finds the dinner kinda boring.
" Just shut up and eat old man" Diana cuts him off and sarah, Claudius, Ephesus and her mother both choke on their food.
