But then on a second thought, he crossed his mind and drove straight to work. There's still no news about Arthur and the lawyer death yet and the police are doing their best to get to the roots while Troy is also doing his best.
Olivia sat on her bed and spend almost half of her morning operating the phone and taking photos with it.
She was still taking photos of herself when she remembered Katrina. Now that she has a phone, isn't it better for her to call her?
She hit her head with her palm trying to remember Katrina digits but she always mistook one digit for the other.
" Hello Katrina" She said placing the phone on her ear.
" How can you call a man katrina, idiot " the cracky voice said from the other end of the call and Olivia end the call immediately.
" I called the wrong number" She said and start punching another digits on the phone again.
" Hello " A dull feminine voice sounds from the other end of the call. It was Katrina voice and Olivia wonder why she sounds so dull. The Katrina she knew is a cheerful girl and its hard to see her sad.
" Hi Katrina how are you" Olivia said and Katrina who was lying down on her bed at the other end of the call removed her phone from her ear to check the caller ID if she actually heard that voice well.
" Olivia" she called to be sure of the voice she heard. Olivia's voice is that voice she can never forget. Her accent is quite different from theirs who are full Philippines. Her accent is mixed with a little Chinese which made her sound unique anytime she speaks.
" It's me Katrina" Olivia reply with her eyes welling up with tears. She really don't know why but her eyes are just welling up with tears.
" Olivia is that really you!! Oh my goodness!!!" Katrina screamed jumping out of the bed and Olivia smile. Somehow she wished she can just see the look on her face.
" It's me Katrina or have you forgotten me so soon?" Olivia said teasingly and Katrina roll her eyes.
" How can I forget you? You were the one who forgot me don't you know?" Katrina reply with her own question and Olivia sigh.
She feel bad for not looking for a way to contact Katrina all this while. If only she was allowed to use phone she would have contacted her a long time ago.
" I'm sorry about that Katrina. I'm deeply sorry. A lot of things came up and I really don't know how to put them in words. I wasn't allowed to use phone here and" She was still apologising and trying to explain things to Katrina when Katrina asked her to wait.
" Wait! If you're not allowed to use phone, then whose phone are you using right now?" Katrina asked trying to get things straight.
" This is my phone. The devil have it to me some hours ago" Olivia said but then closed her mouth with her palm when she realised she mentioned devil to Katrina instead of just telling her his name.
" Now you're scaring me and getting me confused. Where did you see the devil because I really don't know how you come in contact with the devil to the extent of getting a phone for you"
Olivia remain quite for a while thinking of how to explain things for Katrina.
" Actually Katrina, when I say devil, I don't mean Lucifer. I mean the Gerald's devil" Olivia said and Katrina chuckle at her words.
" So the Gerald's have devil. Who knows the Gerald's has their own devil apart from Olivia herdderson" Katrina said and Olivia was forced to get up from the bed.
She knew where this is leading to. Anytime Katrina call her full name it either means she is serious or just trying to play around but whatever it is, olivia don't know for now because she can only differentiate what she is actually trying to say through her expression.
" Umm I think they have one but the thing is the devil is too beautiful to be a devil that he is" Olivia said sluggishly as she pictured Troy's devilish handsome face in her head.
" Really??" Katrina asked
" Yes Katrina" Olivia reply walking towards the window and looking outside through the parted curtains.
" Olivia if I can recall the devil is not beautiful" katrina said as she wonder why the devil is beautiful.
' have you forgotten Lucifer is the most beautiful amongst the angels? Same applies here Katrina" Olivia tells her and Katrina nod her head. Yes she remember Lucifer was the prettiest amongst the angel but ends up being the devil.
" Then I guess your devil, I mean the Gerald's is beautiful like Lucifer too" Katrina said
" More beautiful than Lucifer himself and that's why he is more scheming than Lucifer himself" Olivia said remembering all the time she fell into Troy's trap without realizing it.
" I think that will be Troy Gerald my crush" katrina said and Olivia eyes pops out of their sockets . She quickly blink them back so that they won't fall off. She still need them. She hadn't seen the beauty of the world yet.
" Your.. your... You mean your crush?" Olivia stammered and Katrina jumped on her bed.
" Who doesn't like a beauty? Of course he is my crush but he is proud" Katrina said and Olivia felt her heart calming down a little when she heard he is proud.
' at least she hates him for that ' she thought to herself. She really don't know why her heart raced that way but she feels like someone was about to snatch her toy from her.
" How will Dan feel if he finds out you're crushing on Troy Gerald?" Olivia asked and katrina chuckle. To her the questions looks lame and silly.
" All the men in Manila knows 99.8 percent of the ladies in Manila and outside Manila are crushing on the beauty god so it's not something new, he will understand" Katrina said casually and Olivia shook her head negatively.
" I'm among the two percent that doesn't crush on him" Olivia said and Katrina roll her eyes.
Right from the beginning she knew Olivia had bad taste when it comes to chosing things for herself. That was why she almost get laid by that silly boy in school.
" I know you had bad taste for men. So I'm not surprised" Katrina said and Olivia cough nervously.
" If you say so. Next time don't crush on the proud beauty." Olivia tells her as if telling her to take away her eyes from the devil.
" But why?" Katrina asked. She had been crushing on Troy since highschool even before she met Dan and Dan knows that as well.
" Dan will feel like he is not handsome enough for you" Olivia said and Katrina sigh. To her Dan is handsome enough for her but she can't stop crushing on Troy.
" Whatever. So how have you been? Gotten a boyfriend yet or still having a bad taste?" Katrina asked and stretch her hands forward. She wanted to close Katrina's mouth with her palm but then she realised Katrina is far away from where she is. She brings her hand back and part the curtain covering her view away.
" I'm good but haven't gotten a boyfriend yet." Olivia said with all sincerity. She is doing good apart from the devil's torments and there's no way she can tell her about the rules of no relationship. Katrina will get mad and might want to sue Troy for maltreating her which she will never will against.
" Silly girl. I wonder when you will grow up. If you don't like the devil what about his twin brother Travis,? He is the replica of Troy too?" Katrina asked with concern and a little teasingness.
" Can we just forget about me getting a boyfriend?" Olivia reply with her own question and Katrina scoffs . She hates it when Olivia drops a conversation she likes discussing most like that. It really makes her stomach sick.
" I forgot you had bad taste when it comes to good things. Travis is a beauty god too so I will recommend an ugly guy for you maybe that's where your sour taste is" Katrina said looking pissed off and Olivia frown her face.
She had always dreamt of marrying a charming prince like those in Disney movies but the charming prince she saw now, she don't think anything can work between any of them. She is not even sure if any of them will have feelings for a property like her.
" Stop it! I don't like ugly men. Do you want my child to be ugly?" Olivia asked trying to change the topic.
" It will be better if you have an ugly child. It will suit you well because that will be the result of your bad taste" Katrina said and Olivia felt like she is scolding her now.
" I'm not going to say anything" olivai said and Katrina laugh out loud.
" I missed you olivia" Katrina said and Olivia felt her heart hanging in her throat. If only she knew she missed her more than she do.
" I missed you more Katrina" Olivia said sadly and a drop of tears fall down from her eyes.
" Let's have dinner together tonight. It's been long we see each other eye to eye. I will pick you up with my car. Just send me your address. Don't worry all bills are on me as usual" Katrina said jumping from one word to another.
Olivia quickly wave her hands in the air. As much she wants to see Katrina and have dinner with her, she really can't and that made her feel so sad. She don't know how to tell her she is not allowed to leave the house without permission and if she can remember the devil reminds her not to go anywhere.
" Umm katrina, can it be some other day? I really can't come today" Olivia said awkwardly. This is the first time she is turning Katrina's request down and she really don't feel happy about it.
" You mean you can't come? All bills are on me Olivia" Katrina said and Olivia don't know what to say again. She don't know if she should just tell her about the rilules she lives by or not.
" I'm sorry katrina. Let it be some other day" Olivia said feeling very guilty and Katrina sigh.
" I will let it be some other day but this week. Don't forget you are owing me a dinner this week" Katrina said and Olivia finally let out a sigh of relief. At least she agreed and let her out of the hook. Maybe before the week runs out, she will take permission from the devil and see if he will let her go.
" Alright Katrina. Don't forget I love you" Olivia said with smile on her face.
" I love you more miss herdderson" Katrina said cheekily and they both laughed before hanging up.
Olivia laid on her bed and smile at the ceiling. Her joy was filled with joy as she finally speak with the person she had been wishing to speak with.
She quickly jot up when she heard the knock on the door. It was Travis voice and that was when she remembered she locked the door immediately Troy left.
Her stomach rumble and she quickly rushed towards the door and opened it for him.
